Amazing and I went solo. Made new friends and the tour guide was very helpful. Made my brazil trip so much better! Food provided was so delicious and explained the whole day clearly. Bring your own water, tissues and stuff in a small backpack!

Itinerary
Cais de Santa Luzia, located in the heart of Angra dos Reis, is a complex that enchants visitors and serves as a traditional starting point for exploring the islands and taking schooner trips. It is a true reflection of the city's history and tradition, authentically connecting to the fishing culture with its fishermen and colorful boats, providing a perfect image to be immortalized in a photograph during a walk at dusk, with the sea displaying its unmistakable beauty in the background. This scene has inspired countless plastic artists over time, transforming this scenario into dazzling watercolors. Cais de Santa Luzia is also known as the starting point for boats, being the place where the aquatic journeys begin.
Modest beach of moderate extension, receives some visitors during the high season, who find here an excellent option to relax due to the tranquility of the place. Fishing predominates on this beach, and its main visitors are local fishermen. It is a pleasant choice for those who prefer less crowded beaches, where they can rest and recharge. With a wide stretch of golden sand, it has a calm sea, which resembles a natural pool, with transparent waters.
Lagoa Verde is one of Ilha Grande's best-known scenic spots, on the border between Praia da Longa and Praia Grande de Aracatiba, where the sea takes on an intense green tone over the rocky bottom. The boat passes by this point without stopping, so you can see and photograph it from on board.
During the lunch break, we enjoy a meal in a typical restaurant of the region, with a charming difference. The menu is presented to customers while they are on board the vessel, allowing them to choose their meals even before reaching the beach, ensuring fast and efficient service. We have the option of enjoying lunch in the form of a self-service buffet, offering a delicious variety of dishes. Among the available options are fried fish, fried chicken, beans, rice, various fresh salads, pirão and pasta.
In the heart of an enchanting archipelago, Lagoa Azul dazzles with its waters in unparalleled tones. This natural pool resembles the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, making it a favorite destination for visitors who want to go snorkeling or simply enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea. Lagoa Azul and Ilha de Cataguases are the tour's two swimming and snorkeling stops. Snorkeling masks are available to rent on board. These are open-water swim stops over a sandy and rocky bottom with small tropical fish, not a coral reef dive.
Ilha Cataguas is one of the tour's two swimming and snorkeling stops, together with Lagoa Azul. The island is formed by two stretches of land joined by a sandbank that appears at low tide, with fine white sand and calm, turquoise water. From the boat you swim in open water over a sandy and rocky bottom with small tropical fish. Snorkeling masks are available to rent on board. There are no kiosks, bars or restaurants on the island.

Was really fun made sure everyone was included and doing activities even if it’s just swimming
We had a great experience on the Angra dos Reis and Ilha Grande tour! Everything was well organized, and our guide was friendly, helpful, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the day. The boat ride was beautiful, and the scenery was amazing. It was a great way to see the islands and experience the beauty of Brazil. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rio de Janeiro!
Amazing experience, everything was good, and our guide Felipe Marques is an amazing guy and guide.
Felipe was great! I couldn't imagine providing instructions in 3 different languages and he did it effortlessly. The tour was exactly as described and we had a great time. I would recommend bringing a beach towel as the beaches at the last two stops don't offer chairs to sit in or towels to lay on.
The trip was really fun. We had such a great time. Everyone had such a good positive energy to them. We made many stops. Honestly, it was unforgettable. Good work to the team!
It was good. I wish the food was a little better but aside from that the experience of jumping in the water and seeing the fishes while scuba-ing was fun
We joined the trip and got picked up from a hotel nearby our Airbnb in Ipanema. The bus ride was early and a few hours, but the bus was very cozy and clean! The seats reclined, my friends and I were able to nap before our adventure. The tour is worth the money, our guide Thiago brought us to 4 islands! The boat was clean and well maintained by the crew. Lunch was provided on the second island, a warm Brazilian buffet!
I was hesitant to leave a review but I think some things need to be said. First of all, I think the tour could absolutely benefit from starting earlier. I am not sure why the organizers have it start so late - with all the hotel pickups, we left Rio at 8 am and with all the traffic we reached destination at 12:30pm. I also find it pretty hard that there was no pit stops on the way - like a 15min to stretch our legs or go to the bathroom or get some snacks if we run out. Now that being said, the boat ride was rough. If you are seasick easily, you NEED to take medication beforehand. Then it felt like most stops, we just stopped the boat somewhere and stayed there.. there was no island sightseeing. There was food available for purchase on the boat but they ran out of meat, so all that was left was potatoes. Not very convenient when you hadn't eaten since 8am. I am pregnant and found it quite hard, so I wish all these factors had been clearly stated prior to booking the tour. The snorkelling was not worth it. We saw nothing and paid 70 reais each for the gear. We finally ate on the 3rd stop. The food was good, but it was 3:45pm when we ate lunch. Then according to the listing, we were supposed to do 1-2 stops more but we didn't because we had to go back to land before the sun finished setting (which I think has to do with the lack of planning of the organizers/all the delays). I think the last stop was where we would have been able to snorkel properly. At least the return to Rio was fast. But I really wish the whole thing wasn't so rushed. So overall I wouldn't do this again, I think I would have had a better time staying in Rio and doing something else. The weather that day was also not great despite a positive forecast, so perhaps my feedback and overall experience would've been better if it was a good weather.
Amazing tour with beautiful beaches and a wonderful team. It was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely do it again.
Very nice tour and exploring all beach of brazil
A wonderful tour with amazing views and excellent organization. The guide was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Great service from the agency. Highly recommended!
The whole experience was great. The bus and boat ride both were very spacious and comfortable. There were food and drinks on the boat if you are feeling peckish and the lunch was amazing
Unfortunatelly it was a cloudy and rainy day the day in went to this trip. But despite weather condition the trip was very nice with beautiful places. Our guide Thiago was the man of the day. He managed that we have a nice trip and nothing to worry about. I strongly recomand it, but choose well the day according the weather condition.
The weather was so bad unfortunately. The review might be better if the weather was better. The pickup was a disaster. Just meet at the last pickup point or you could be in the bus for 5 hours before even getting to the boat. The bus ride itself there and back took so long. Bring an extra pair of clothes. The tour guides time estimates were off by at least 20 minutes. Take photos, snorkel, and lunch was ok.
The tour was spectacular the tour guide Marcio and Miguelito were very special very warm welcoming they made us l Feel like at home, snorkeling dancing singing and the jet ski experience a total plus.highlt recommended
This is a nice little boat getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of Rio for a day. The bus picked us up right in front of our hotel and it was about a 2 1/2 hour bus ride to the boat location. The bus was very comfortable and allowed you to rest. On the way there, we were able choose optional activities (for a fee). I chose to jet ski and have my picture taken with the fishes. The prices were very reasonable. The actual boat was 3 decks and spacious enough to fit around 40 people comfortably. There was good music playing and a fully stocked bar to purchase drinks. There were 4 different spots where we were able to do the activities and swim in the ocean if we wanted. Stop 3 is where we were served lunch. It was buffet style with a decent selection of options. We did have to pay for drinks and dessert if you wanted them. After the last stop, we were able to catch a beautiful sunset over the ocean. We were dropped off at our hotel around 8pm. The experience was definitely worth the money.
Good to explore a little more outside Rio Nice place ,food not very good guide not say much but in general was good value for money
One of the best experiences I've had! The team was very attentive, always focused on giving us the best experience. The lunch was fantastic, and the guide took us to some amazing spots. Definitely an experience worth having
Perfect day trip! From the reception, the guides made us feel at home. The lunch was delicious, and the explanations during the tour were engaging and informative. Unforgettable experience
We took the tour to Angra dos Reis, and we were amazed! The guides are incredible, explaining everything enthusiastically. The reception was very welcoming, and the lunch was simply amazing. I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to relax and learn
Wonderful tour in Angra dos Reis! The guide was very friendly and shared great insights about the sights. The reception was flawless, and the lunch was delicious. I will definitely be back.
What an amazing tour! The team was very attentive from the start, with a warm welcome. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The lunch was also delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. I highly recommend this experience!
While the weather wasn’t ideal, the island tour itself was enjoyable. The locations were beautiful, lunch was great, and the boat portion mostly met expectations. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout. The jet skiing add on was also a ton of fun and highly recommended. Unfortunately, the transportation significantly impacted the overall experience. The bus arrived late and repeatedly shut down on the way to the marina, turning a 2-hour trip into roughly 4 hours. There was also a brief issue during the boat tour when the boat engine broke down producing smoke, which was thankfully resolved quickly but still concerning. The most serious problem occurred on the return trip, when the bus broke down completely. We were left waiting for hours in a remote area with little communication about timing or next steps. This delay caused us to miss important plans such as a birthday dinner, and we started arranging our own transportation due to the increasing uncertainty. Given the issues on the way to the marina, a proactive bus replacement during the boat tour could have prevented this return trip situation. We contacted the company afterward to request partial compensation for the delays and disruption, but this was denied. While the boat tour itself was enjoyable, the transportation reliability and handling of the situations were not acceptable. Improvements in logistics and communication are needed here.
It was fun and wonderful tour. If you like swimming and a boat trip you must go there. A day full of activities and lunch was great too.
It was a good experience because I had fun with the people I went with! The people and group made the trip though, so if you're not with fun people maybe skip as it was a little harder making friends as most people were with groups already. Also, it lasts allll day lol, like 7am-11pm so don't plan anything else on the day you do this!
Great experience! Everything run smoothly! Guide very friendly and hwlpful.
Our guide did a wonderful job at explaining tasks to us and describing the itinerary in extensive detail. He was also very fun and upbeat!
I had an absolutely amazing experience on this tour! Everything about it was adventurous, inspiring, and unforgettable. The boats were great, the food was delicious, and the entire experience felt authentic and well organized. Our tour guide, Felipe, truly made the trip special. He was incredibly informative and knowledgeable about the island, the culture, and the people. You could tell he genuinely cared about sharing the history and spirit of the place with us, which made the experience so much more meaningful. If you're looking for a tour that combines adventure, culture, great food, and beautiful scenery, I highly recommend this experience. Thank you, Felipe, for such an incredible and memorable day!
Whole trip is what I expected. It wasn't just me but whole 10 of us felt the same. Poor management, like daycare camp running my minor
The bus in the morning was about 30 minutes late. The guide was very friendly and funny. Maybe he can use an audio system in the bus in the future because sometimes we could barely hear him. In general there were too many people in the harbor, and at the places we went to. We swam between 5-6 big boats run by diesel, which is not really a paradise atmosphere. The food was okay and the atmosphere on the boat and in the bus nice and comfortable.
Not worth the time. You’ll end up spending 5 hours in the bus EACH WAY to basically cruise around the boat for 4-5 hours. Most places they allowed you to swim around the boat but did not dock at the islands/beaches except for the next to last stop for lunch (at 4:30pm) on a small island. The food wasn’t great, either. The guide was very nice and the bartender on the boat was the hardest working person on staff, but other than that - a waste of day.
The islands were super lovely to visit and the boat trip was excellent despite the slightly inclement weather the day we went out.
You should be aware that it is a minimum 4 hour return trip by bus to the boat embarkation, which in our case was 6.5 hours due to traffic. The extra equipment higher was very poor quality, even unusable and not totally necessary. This trip is more focused on raising extra cash than providing relaxing and enjoyable experience to the clients. Our collection point was changed the night before which was communicated via email. Please be aware of this policy. The tour started with 1.5 delay due to poor management.
The tour was a nice experience. We visited different beaches and bays. Our guide, Philip was very helpful and informative. But the organisation before the tour was not very professional: I booked with hotel pickup at 7 am, then I should go to a meeting point at 7:10 am, then at 6:50 am and the bus came finally at 7:15 am. Be prepared for a long day: We arrived back at 11 pm. And take a sweater with you because it was very cold in the bus back.
The travel time took an extra 2 hours each way with no explanation why or heads up in advance. Maps says its supposed to be a 2.5-3 hr drive but took 5 hours each way. Besides this the staff was nice and the entire experience was great.
This was one of the most unprofessional and disorganized excursions I have ever experienced. The booking description clearly stated we would be finished at 5:00 PM. Instead, we did not return to the original drop-off location until midnight — a seven-hour delay from what was advertised. That is completely unacceptable. When we booked, we selected our pickup location from the provided dropdown menu. After waiting over 45 minutes past the scheduled pickup time and repeatedly trying to contact the company with no response, we finally reached someone via a WhatsApp number. At that point, we were told that our group — along with another group of girls who had selected the exact same pickup location — needed to come to him instead. He had not answered their calls either. When we attempted to call the tour guide directly, he hung up on us and refused to pick us up from the confirmed location. We were then forced to take an Uber 4–5 blocks away to meet him. This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is unacceptable. The experience itself was not as advertised. The snorkeling was extremely disappointing, and additional undisclosed fees were charged during the three-hour bus ride to the island. These charges were never communicated at the time of booking. By the time we returned to port and boarded the bus again, it was already 8:00 PM — and we still had nearly four more hours of travel ahead of us. This timeline was never disclosed and does not align with the advertised schedule. To make matters worse, at the very end of the night — when we were already extremely delayed and trying to leave — the tour guide allowed a homeless man to board our bus. After everything that had already gone wrong, this added another layer of discomfort and concern for our group. Thiago was highly unprofessional throughout the day. He delayed the group while purchasing food and smoking cigarettes, further pushing back our already late return. He repeatedly stated he did not know where the bus was, and our group was the last to disembark both going to and returning from the boat. Overall, this excursion was misleading, poorly managed, and far from what was promised. I would strongly caution anyone considering booking this tour.
I took the excursion in the time of carnaval. The company switched my pickup spot and sent me an email as to cover themselves for updating me without confirming with me that I saw the switch. The tour agency succeeded to reschedule me for the following day. The bus was over 30 mins late for pickup due to maintenance issues. It took 2 hours to get to the port and another hour and a half to get to the first stop, blue lagoon. The lagoon was beautiful but mobbed with people. My boat had about a hundred people and there were 4 boats at the same stopping points throughout the trip. As a result not much marine wild life was seen (unless you go neer the shore of the lagoon). BTW according to Brazil naval law a tourist must ride a jetski with a guide only, so it's basically a circuit around the big isle. We had an hour and a half at the Ilha Grande and Dos Res, for me it was enough time spent. The restaurant that they brought us to was a basic buffet with not too much choice of food, the quality was ok, just don't expect a fancy restaurant. In addition, because of the amount of people it was really hard to understand the guides' explaination on the sites throughout the boat. They were already struggling with English and Spanish, and having that extra distraction made it very difficult. All in all I don't regret taking this excursion for it was absolutely beautiful, I just think one should manage expectations before taking this on.
This tour was a great way to see Angra dos Reis in one day. The islands are stunning, and the water is perfect for swimming. Everything felt well planned and organized, which made the whole experience very smooth. It was a relaxed and enjoyable day, and I’m really glad we chose this tour.
This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The islands are gorgeous, and the water is incredibly clear. The day was well paced, and nothing felt rushed. We had a great time swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the views. Definitely a tour worth doing.
Angra dos Reis is a stunning place, and this tour lets you enjoy it in a very comfortable way. The schedule was well balanced, with enough time at each stop to relax and swim. The staff did a great job making sure everything ran smoothly. I would happily recommend this tour.
We had a fantastic tour. It was nice to see another part of Rio/Brazil during our trip, and the islands were gorgeous. A few notes for anyone looking to book in the future… Avoid booking on Fridays/Weekends unless you want to sit in 5+ hours of traffic on the way home. The drive was made much longer by the weekend traffic, and our guide said it was the usual. We went during high season, so the islands/bays were extra packed. It sorta took away from the trip a bit. The boat had bathrooms (wouldn’t call them the nicest but they worked… ish) and enough food/drink options to get you by. The buckets of beer were especially nice. As advertised, everything was extra, but they do a nice job of selling on board/on the bus there. Would I do it again? Yes. Just at a different season and definitely not on a weekend.
Apart from a friendly guide the trip was quite boring and there was not a lot to see. The beaches were tiny anf overcrowded. They make you swim between boats with stinky smell of black emission of the engines. The water not so clear. The buffet was very basic with dry chicken and fish and dry salads plus some rice and chicken stew. The worst thing was that a bus drive took good 4h from Ipanema and having known Id not bother to spend my money and would just stay local at the beach or look for some jungle excursion. Sorry but not for me and next time I will probably book a holiday in the Caribbean as Brazil is overpriced and not that charming.
Well executed, beautiful beaches and amazing ambience through the whole trip! 100% recommended (Erica was an excellent guide, as well!)
The tour is fine until you get to the boat. It was chaos, felt extremely overbooked. All this would have been tolerable if the boat staff was even a little polite. I have been on many an excursion and boat related excursion and none have ever been like this. Prepare to have employees give you attitude for asking questions about drinks and food you payed for. Then when you finally get said food and drink, it will be terrible. We couldn’t even chew through our meat. Others had similar experiences. I have never been on a boat with such rude staff, a staff that helped cultivate an aggressive environment on the boat. The sights are gorgeous and you should see them but just with another group. Unless you don’t care about service or comfort then by all means go with these folks.
I'll try to be unbiased as we faced a very nonstop rainy day. Daniel the tour guide is excellent! He spoke Portuguese, Spanish & English. He explained everything very clear. He comes on the boat ride and also translates on the boat tour over intercom - as long as you listen you will always know what's going on. If you have any specific questions Daniel is there to help and explain. The bus driver did his best to get us there and back as quickly as possible despite the traffic and weather. 1. The ride to the port took about 3hours+. We were the first to be picked up and had to round up other passengers. The bus is COLD, so bring a lite jacket. There is a restroom on board. 2. Bring snacks and drinks, nowhere on the bus nor port were there things to eat. 3. The boat was filled to the max with a mix of ppl(frat boy groups, family with young kids to elder couples) , so if you want to get a good seat line up towards the front. The boat sets a good vibe with great music blasting, snacks and drinks(alcohol and non)to purchase. 4. Do to the many other boats, our 2nd stop was delayed and headed to the 3rd beach. I will warn that the beach is VERY polluted with debris and trash on the shore and water. The 'beach' area is very narrow. It sits outside private property with vendors on the beach(I would think the debris would be cleaned up for visitors). Not enjoyable and was allowed 30-40 mins at this location. 5. The Blue Lagoon area was nice. Other boats around so you can interact with them. Water was clear but the fish was not obvious until the tour guides threw out some bait. This lasted for an hour. 6. The area where lunch was very crowded with other tours. Food was decent with fish, stewed chicken, rice, veggies and beans included with tour. Drinks & dessert were a separate for purchase. 7. We were one of the last boats to arrive back at the dock around 7:30pm/19:30. Bus ride took forever, around 4 hours due to traffic(Got to our residence at midnight, pickup at 6:40am that day). Again the bus is COLD, especially after wearing your wet swimset. Bring a change of clothes, a towel or jacket. Overall I would not take this specific tour again due to the travel time took up most of the day vs actually enjoying the water.
Good but not great. We spent A LOT more time on the bus going to and coming from than expected— we were picket up at 7:30 and didn’t arrive to the town where the tour started u til almost 12 (4 hours). This was partially due to traffic but also due to the fact that there were many pick up locations prior to leaving Rio— many of which were relatively close to one another. We arrived back at our drop off location around 9:30 pm— long day! This tour could be improved by consolidating the stops. The boat ride was nice. We snorkeled and spent time on a beach and had a nice “lunch” (at 4pm). It was overall a good day but I don’t think I’d do it again. You could definitely have a similar experience in Rio and not spend so much time traveling.
Jacqueline is an amazing host! Even when it was raining she readjusted our itinerary in the best way possible, always thinking about us first. She texted us first through WhatsApp confirming our reservation and also through our email. Very throughout. Jacqueline even invited us to themed parties all around Rio without further cost (pro tip: ask her about the parties, trust me). Overall amazing host who want you to enjoy Rio to the fullest!
The experience was great. Ana was a very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend going on this tour. The tour was long but worthy!!
We loved seeing the islands. Truly so unique and magical. Nayt was our tour guide and goes above and beyond to make it a fun and efficient experience. We did not realize that the bus ride is initially three hours when we booked the experience but Nayt was so accommodating. He made sure to have the bus stop about half way through for a bathroom break that was very well timed. He was so efficient in educating us, taking orders for the photos, and moving along the group. The boat ride was a hoot! He’s all smiles, knowledge and fun! Made a long day well worth it. Ilha grande itself and the surrounding area look like something out of Jurassic park. It almost was too beautiful to believe it was real. We got to snorkel, swim, eat, drink. Overall a great day trip.
