Our meeting point is at Sao Conrado Beach at the Free Flight Club. Where we will fill out a registration and pay a compulsory insurance that is NOT included in the Vacation Package of 150 Reals. Afterwards we climbed with our driver to the take-off ramp at Beautiful Stone. On the beach of Sao Conrado is also located the end of our activity, where the landing of Parapente and Asa Delta takes place, after the flight the video images are recorded and delivered immediately to the passengers, we need on average at least 4 gigas of memory on the phone. We have option to purchase extra memory like pen drives and memory cards. Depending on the day, we will need more patience and waiting time, as holidays and events in RJ make everything more full. Other days the activity requires more time due to wind and weather conditions. The ideal is to follow the recommendations of the pilot administrator, everything will always aim at the best experience for our customers.
Make sure that you book for the actual paragliding not a different thing. Yes wind and other factor may alter the tour but this should be known as I planned this weeks ahead.
Paragliding itself was amazing and I ended up doing it with someone very professional (not Luis). Luis was 20 minutes late to the time of the experience and there was no way to contact him. Although this company gives you the “option” to do paragliding or handgliding, I was pushed to do paragliding instead of handgliding which is what I wanted to do. Luis said that the weather was not right for handgliding but then that it was up to me if I choose to do it or not. He is the professional and if someone said this to you, well I trusted him and chose to do paragliding. Luis then dissapeared and did not tell me he was not going to be doing the paragliding with me and someone else got into the car that took me up the mountain. Then when we were up there were lots of people doing handgliding which was very disappointing. The lack of transparency and poor communication is not right. If you would like to do handgliding, just choose a different company. They also change an extra $60 for the 360 video and also extra for insurance so just choose somewhere else to do it where they are more transparent with the prices and provide better service overall.
There were 3 of us and we felt safe and well-cared for. I had the best experience of us all- I was with Luis and he was fantastic! My husband and son were larger- around 200lbs and they felt restricted by the harness which impacted their experience a bit. I was nestled in the seat so just enjoyed the amazing views and it was the most amazing experience ever- I’d do it again and again in a heartbeat!
Due to weather we couldn't make it in time. But everyone was exceptionally professional, communicative, and transparent on what (weather conditions) was needed for paragliding. Will absolutely book with them next time

The flight itself was absolutely amazing, and Luiz was great. However, I wouldn’t recommend booking this experience as a group. We went as a group of four, and only two of us were able to fly. We were told it was due to weather, but that didn’t seem to be the real issue—after two people from our group flew, the same pilot immediately took two other passengers. Our group had a 7:30 a.m. excursion time and should have been prioritized, but we were sent away because the company was overbooked and only had one pilot available. Because of this, the group experience was a major inconvenience.That said, I do recommend this experience if you’re going solo. Just be cautious when booking as a group. the two people then never got to experience this because the next day two passengers were in an accident.
The whole experience was fun and easy to navigate. I just showed up at the meetup location, which is the local hang gliding club. I was quickly directed to meet up with my lead pilot who walked me through the whole process. Then we went up the mountain, got set up, waited our turn, and jumped. It was a great experience, though a bit tense if you're not a fan of heights. Highly recommended.
Although the wind did not favour hang gliding on the day, we did paragliding. It was such an awesome experience and Luiz was an awesome pilot
I recommend the experience. It makes me want to do it again somewhere else. The takeoff is truly sensational, and organizing it with Viator is simple. However, it's still quite expensive, especially considering the 360° images offered.
Unskippable experience if you're visiting Rio! The waiting experience is a bit confusuing since the runners are independent, but they take safety and the customer experience extremely seriously. Fully recording is included just make sure to move your camera around since your responsible for capturing your own footage. Both session runners were super cool and reassuring, would 1000% recommend
My partner and I booked the hang gliding trip after travelling South America all the way from Australia only to be let down by this tour and not complete the hang gliding. After some pour weather in the morning there was some delays and flights couldn’t take off until later and this company took the opportunity to heavily persuade us into changing from hang gliding to para gliding as the “weather wasn’t good enough”. We reluctantly said yes to make sure we could still go however so many other groups were still taking off well before us and doing hang gliding. This company has extremely poor communication and organisation skills. It was lucky for our two pilots who saved the day and gave us an amazing para gliding flight otherwise this would have been a disaster.
Agent kept pushing for para gliding despite our clear written instructions for hang gliding and perfect weather conditions with green flags.. flight was only 4 mins , we were told it's over 10 mins... and most dadly, we were there from 9:45am to 2pm.. all this after paying $1200, prebooked, pre paid and had left 5 family members - small kids and parents - back at the hotel for over 6 hrs..
Amazing experience with my adults children. Comfortable ride up to launch site. Luis and Claude are both very nice. Felt at ease. Be flexible as have to take nature (change in wind, strength of wind) into account for flight time but otherwise great experience. Sao Conrado Beach is beautiful so a bonus.
It was the best experience! Working with Luis and his team was phenomenal. This was my second time coming back to Rio and did paragliding before but this time I did have gliding and my partner did paragliding and we enjoyed Luis and his team! We will be back!
Three of us went for the hang gliding experience. We got there very early but the weather wasn't right for it. So we waited some time for it that morning to get better. Positives; the instructors explained everything that was going on. They go through a training exercise to prepare you. There was a small cafe on top of the mountain. Cons, we only got 2 instructors for 3 people. We had to wait some time for the third person to come down from the mountain. The overall experience was adrenaline filled and we got good videos from it.
Holy heavens what a surreal experience hang gliding was! Huge thanks to Ed who made this such a fun, safe, and a once-in-lifetime experience! I’ve been skydiving and bungee jumping, and hang gliding was the most enjoyable experience that I would totally love to do again. Floating like an angel over the forest mountains and then the ocean and beach?! My goodness! I did have to wait a couple hours before my flight time due to a hang gliding competition but it was well worth the wait. Thanks Ed and team for the memories!
Really enjoyed the hang glide despite the language barrier and the instructor being a bit aggressive, the views were impeccable and worth it!
It was my first time paragliding and it was amazing. The guys there are very relaxed and nice, which was exactly what I needed. And of course, beautiful vieww!! Heads up, the video taken as part of the price is pretty zoomed in onto you. If you want a more panoramic view, it’s extra, and I recommend it!
My friends and I would never recommend this to anyone. My group of 4 was extremely disappointed. We booked the 8:30am tour slot and didn’t finish as a group until past 3pm. I have pictures and receipts of proof of this. 6.5 hours later is unacceptable. The guide did warn us in the beginning it would take an hour or so longer but never 7 hours total. We missed another afternoon tour as a result. On top of that, the hanggliding experience was 5-7 minutes for each of us. Marketed online as longer. The guide was not interested too, could tell he was putting on a show for video and camera but before and after recording was not happy to be there at all. In addition, they charged part of our group insurance AFTER we already did the experience, not before. I have proof of this too. Just all around the worst experience from a Viator tour ever. We would never choose to do this company again.
Although we had a nice time paragliding, we had planned on hang gliding. We were told that the wind was too low to hang glide, but when we were on the platform, there were other customers hang gliding. I would definitely Check wind conditions and verify if hang gliding is available if hang gliding is what you want to do.
Must be one of the best things to do in Rio. Views were amazing, great organisation and our ‘pilot’ put you at ease and made the trip great fun . 10 out of 10 !!
Great experience all and all, a little disorganized when you arrive trying to locate the instructor, etc. Very long waits on top of the mountain before being able to jump. Will definitely do it again !
We had a superb time. The weather wasn't ideal for hang gliding and so, for our safety, Luiz recommended that we either reschedule or paraglide. We opted to paraglide and had a spectacular time. We really appreciated Luiz and his team's concern for our wellbeing, especially as first-timers. They took all the trepidation out of the experience and ensured that it was exhilarating. I would never had forgiven myself for missing out on this experience.
I’ll preface this saying the experience of the flight itself was great (even if it was not the hang gliding we were hoping for) and Luiz and the team did give us some additional camera footage as an apology (after asking - no compensation was initially offered), however in general the communication and coordination of this experience left a lot to be desired. We arrived on time, however weren’t told who to meet, where to wait and what to do. The flight school area is very chaotic, particularly if your Portuguese is poor. Despite messaging on WhatsApp and Viator, I didn’t even get a response until 1hr in. We kept being delayed and delayed, and I think were forgotten about. We were ushered to one side and not really treated with very much care. We waited nearly 3 hours with very little communication until we managed to even meet our guide/pilot, who was about to take another group without looking for us, after we’d just spoken to his colleague on the phone. The main issue was that the communication was poor and was from someone in the office who was not communicating with the instructor/pilot properly. It would really be better if you had the direct number for the pilot. As we were now running late for another activity, we took the only remaining options available. We booked this because we would have liked an English speaking guide, however he was busy with another group, so we made do. We were also told that the weather was not good enough for hang gliding, which was the reason I booked this (expensive) experience, but the weather can’t be helped, and at this point, we just wanted to go up, so accepted this, only to see 3 hang gliders go off the ramp as we arrived… Finally flying (for 7 minutes…) was great, however having a pilot with limited language skills wasn’t great for health and safety at the top of the ramp and the wait we had to endure was simply just not worth the reward. It was sadly just a very very disappointing morning wasted, and could have been made so much easier with a little more care. For anyone thinking of booking this tour, I wouldn’t necessarily say avoid it, however I’d recommend book the earliest flight in the morning, as your instructor/ pilot can’t then be stuck up the mountain without communicating, and also ask for your pilots name in advance, as that is who you need to tell the flight school you are looking for. And for the operator, I’d recommend you give a clear set of instructions of who to talk to at the flight school, what to expect in terms of wait and check in and please specify which pilot to ask for. We had no idea, and coupled with the poor communication throughout the day, it unfortunately left a bad taste in our mouth for what should have been an amazing experience.
It seemed difficult and dangerous at first, but nothing could be further from the truth!! From takeoff to landing, it was absolutely fantastic. The pilot clearly knew what he was doing, and I even got the chance to steer the glider myself! An amazing feeling and truly an experience worth trying.
This was a great experience, the view up high was insane. The whole process was so smooth, you get to the place, they ask if you want to do hang gliding or paragliding, get set up with a pilot, and quick registration. They drive you up and as you wait for them to set up you can use the bathroom or look at the view. The instructions to make sure it was smooth and safe was easy to understand. I will say if you have motion sickness take Dramamine or any motion sickness medicine because it will definitely get you feeling sick 😭. I forgot to but because the flight was so quick it was fine just a tip for others. The go pro footage is included I paid 200 real for the side footage which is worth it.
Paragliding was absolutely incredible! Dalton was amazing — he explained everything so clearly, made me feel completely comfortable, and gave me confidence before and during the flight. The entire experience was smooth, safe, and so much fun. I felt knowledgeable and at ease the whole time, which made it even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this experience and especially flying with Dalton!
I was originally booked for a Monday but the weather was terrible! Daniela was a pleasure to communicate with. She let me know the weather wouldn’t work. Neither did Tuesday. I was rescheduled & squeezed in for Wednesday. Arrival to the location was very easy and the process was seamless to check in. My pilot Delton was super kind, great positive energy and gave clear instruction. I knew I was in good hands and I enjoyed the ride. He made sure I got all the shots and kept me engaged throughout the experience. Even sung happy birthday to me in the skies! 10/10

It was 4 us, 3 of us did the paragliding due to our size, weight and wind and the other 1 was able to hangglide! The experience was top notch! The weather was perfect, everyone’s instructor was fun, knowledge and so encouraging!! We we’re so glad we did it!! If you're in Brazil just go do it!!
It was asome. I had a very good day and a very good pilot. The hangglide felt like flying like a birth. Easy take of from the platform on Pedra Bonita and easy landing on the beach! Nice experience
Incredible experience soaring over Rio! Definitely recommend! I did the paragliding and my husband did the hang gliding and we both loved it!
It would've been 5/5 if not for the lack of communication. We waited two hours without any information or update, and we needed to call 4 times and send 2 texts to have an answer. Apparently, the wind was not favorable so there was some problems flying, which is understandable and logical. When the instructor came, he said I could not hangglide since there was not enough wind for my bodytype, but that I could paraglide : it would've been nice to know that beforehand without wasting 2 hours... However, once the instructor is here, it's very smooth sailing, Luiz is a great instructor, for paragliding there isn't much to do and he exudes confidence. The views are really amazing and the feeling of flying is nice ! Smooth landing, all in all, an experience to do once in a lifetime at least ! I think hanggliding is much more fun though so to be continued. One advice : BRING. INSECT. REPELLENT. I recommend.

If hang gliding in Brazil isn't on your bucket list, it needs to be—immediately. From the moment I was strapped in, nerves and all, I felt like I was about to take flight in the best way possible. As soon as we launched off the cliff, it was pure magic. The views of the ocean, the mountains, and the colorful rooftops of Rio below were breathtaking. I felt like a bird! My instructor Nito was amazing—super chill, funny, and made me feel completely safe the entire time. He even snapped some incredible photos of me near the edge . The landing was smoother than I expected—no crash, just a graceful glide onto the sand but make sure you listen to him while landing that's were the skills come into play. 10/10 recommend if you’re in Brazil and looking for that once-in-a-lifetime adrenaline rush with a view that will have your jaw on the floor. I still can’t believe I did it—and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
My husband had a fantastic flight paragliding. It’s filmed throughout and you were also allowed to take your own camera. Beautiful views over Rio. Sao Conrado’s tandem flight was who we were booked with. Unfortunately we have forgotten the name of the instructor, but he was very experienced and reassuring. There’s also a lovely place to sit with a cold drink whilst watching all of the paragliders and hang gliders come in to land. We sat for ages watching them all.
This was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. The views were stunning—like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Everywhere I looked felt like a I was in a dream. The videos came out just as I had imagined! What made it even better was my guide, Luiz. He was so calm, professional, and friendly that I felt completely safe the entire time. I was nervous going in, but Luiz’s confidence and explanations instantly put me at ease. I could relax and take it all in, which made the experience that much more special. I already can’t wait to go again. If you’re thinking about it—just do it. You won’t regret it!
This was an incredible experience. I chose paragliding because I wanted to be seated. I was super excited to do it until I got to the top and got scared lol. My guide reassured me and off we went. I’m so glad I did this 10/10. My guide Luiz was awesome and gave me a literal Birds Eye View tour and showed me popular areas and famous landmarks. Don’t let your nerves stop you from the thrill of this amazing experience.

It was the most amazing experience ever!!!!! Me and my friend felt so safe!!!! I was worried about it being to wild and filled with adrenaline. But it was perfect. So much adrenaline and joy in my stomach when we ran out of the edge of the ramp!!! And then after 2 minutes the view was just breathtaking! And we were just floating above Rio?!!! It was the perfect mix of adrenaline (also when landing, and calmness of flying). I am not over exaggerating when I am saying this was one of the most fantastic experiences I have ever had!!!!!! My friend is scared of heights but it was no problem for her. The safety was perfect! And you are not looking straight down when you are on the ramp and it doesn’t actually feel like you are high up. And the ramp is not that long so you don’t have time to rethink your descision and get scared when you run😆 We were smiling so much for the entire day after that our cheeks were hurting!!!! Do it!!!!!!! Life is amazing and even better from up there! I flew with Louis and he was so amazing and had such great energy!!!!! They do everything they can to give you a great experience. We had to wait a bit for Louis cause he was busy flying with someone else and also giving them the best experience. So be prepared to wait a bit (I wish for good weather for you all!!) cause they are gonna make sure you all get the best experience!
I had an appointment for a paragliding excursion in Rio de Janeiro at 10 a.m. When I arrived at the location, there were two people at the front—a man and a woman. I approached the woman to check in, but unfortunately, she was quite rude. She told me I needed to take a seat about 30 feet away and wait there until my point of contact came to get me. There was no warm welcome or helpful guidance—just a dismissive attitude. I waited... and waited. By 10:30, then 10:45, no one had come to meet me. After about 45 minutes of sitting and wondering what was going on, I went back to the front table to ask for an update. Again, the woman was rude and defensive. She claimed that the process was not part of “their system” or something along those lines, but she offered no real help or solution. Her behavior was unprofessional and made the experience stressful before it even began. Finally, around 11 a.m., I saw someone who looked like he might be involved with the excursion. I had to approach him—he didn’t come to find me—and when I introduced myself, he confirmed my name and said, “Okay, let’s get ready.” But instead of taking me directly, he handed me off to another guy, who was another guide for my flight. Thankfully, that second guy was great—friendly, professional, and clear about what to expect. The paragliding experience itself was incredible and definitely a highlight. I just wish the beginning had gone more smoothly and that the organization and communication were better. The whole process felt chaotic and uncoordinated. Overall, the flight was amazing, but the experience leading up to it left a lot to be desired.

Amazing Experience! Luiz was my pilot. when I arrived the weather conditions were too windy to take flight, but Luiz was able to get me rescheduled for the next day. We started from the beach, and Luiz took me up into the forest by car to the launch part. There are quite a few stairs to climb once you get to the top, but nothing too strenuous. He got me geared up and checked me for safety. The flight took about 11 minutes total and was a smooth glide the whole way down. He even let me drive the paraglide a bit. The video that comes included was a great benefit, it was taken on a go pro. I even purchased the optional 360 video which gave amazing 360 views so you can see a bit more than the standard video, the 360 video has numerous options for editing, options to add music, and overall, just better quality. Don't get me wrong, the standard video is great, I just liked the quality better on the 360 cam. All the videos and pics were uploaded immediately to my iPhone, which was great not having to deal with and SD card. I would book this again, and recommend it. I felt safe the entire time.

That was brilliant experience with all the group. It was well planned even from the booking until end of the tour. And Santa, the guide, was so helpful and friendly.
This was a once in a lifetime experience and had a lot of fun. I’m giving 4 stars because there is language barrier and at times it felt like my guide was getting frustrated with me b/c we couldn’t understand each other. I’d recommend having someone at the top be the translator or provide the instructions at the bottom of the mountain so there is no confusion.
It was amazing. Very scared at first but the guide was great and relaxed me and it was an amazing experience and ride. I would def. do again.
Once in a lifetime experience, highly recommend doing it. You wont regret it! You’re in Rio just do it!
