Day Tour To Arraial Do Cabo The Brazilian Caribbean

We got on the wrong tour and the organisation did not even notice. The pick up time was 35 min late, we got on the bus and the organiser started messaging me “where are you?”. We checked if we were on correct bus with the guide and the organiser, BOTH confirmed it. We messaged multiple times though-out the day checking if it was correct again (the tour was not English speaking as promised), and they again confirmed everything was correct. At the end of the day the tour we were on realised the error and made us pay 420 reals per person. The original company to which we paid £110 decided that it was not their fault and did not refund us anything. Overall, I would not recommend to use this company and to go to the tour all together. The beach is crowded with people, and not a pleasant experience. Buffet was good (probably the same one), but also crowded.

I had an amazing visit to Arraial do Cabo with Rio Passeios & Trilhas. It was well organized from pick-up, to connections to different stops, be mindful to carry cash with you to pay for Taxi transfers between stops, very important. The Tour itself covered 3 stops at different beaches in Arraial, it was stunning sites and though a bit over crowded still worth a visit to what can be considered Brazilian Caribbean beach. Thanks Felipe for the awesome tour guidance, tips and great chat! The boat crew is also pretty awesome!

First off we were supposed to get a tour guide who spoke English. The tour guide Andrea nor anyone else in our group spoke English. She typed out a little something at the beginning of the tour but that’s about all we got. She spoke to the group the whole time. We were totally lost. The itinerary didn’t match the description on the tour. The taxi cabs we rode in were “supposed to be clean and sanitized”. They were filthy. We didn’t take a boat ride. We went to one beach then was dropped off in some village to eat. Which we didn’t even know why we were being dropped off. No one said we were going to eat. We eventually figured it out because everyone was all split up we couldn’t just follow people to see where they were going. The buffet food was of poor quality. After we ate we were dropped off at another village that we stood around until it was time to leave. They said we were supposed to watch a sunset but that didn’t happen. We would randomly see our tour guide but it didn’t matter because she couldn’t speak English anyway. We seen more of the taxi drivers than we did our tour guide. They would just come up to us, point, and take us to the next stop. They couldn’t speak English either. For this reason we canceled our Buzio trip because we don’t want to get caught up in the same situation. I don’t blame the tour guide. I blame the company for not providing a service I paid for. We never had enough time to do anything because we didn’t know what we were doing at the last stop. We didn’t learn anything. It was a waste of a day because we didn’t get the service we paid for. I requested a refund but was granted a partial refund of $35.00. We paid $117 plus city tax. The math isn’t matching!

We received this tour as a wedding gift from a friend, how disappointing! The day starts with a 3 hour long ride from Rio to Arraial in a comfortable van. There is one break on the way. Close to arrival, someone enters to sell you smartphone protection cases for the beach. Indeed, you are only being told IN THE VAN that you will disembark in a speed boat with only a cellphone thus needing a protection case. The 2 stops at the beaches are too short to fully enjoy. The second stop is 40 minutes, which is absolutely NOT sufficient to go to the famous stairs. There is also a short stay in the water for you to dive where there are 3 fish and nothing else to see, except all the other boats. "Lunch" is offered at 4 pm in a restaurant. Food is not good, there is no variety. You then go back to Rio by van. On top of this, our "guide" for the day let the whole group WALK ALONE in Arraial from the van to the port and went with another person from the group with A TAXI ! She kept calling this person "the fatty one" which is incredibly rude. Really not recommend this tour, this is a big tourists scam.

This was a really fun and unique experience. When we arrived to Arraial we boarded a party boat with an upstairs deck and slides on the back. The bar on board served up good snacks and drinks. There were a lot of boats sailing around the bay with tourists and it was a very festive atmosphere with good music playing. Everyone was having a great time on the boat. We had a few stops to visit beaches and for using the slides, and also sailed on the outside of the cape for a bit which had great scenery. Note that the drive to Arraial do Cabo is about 3.5 hours each way (includes a short pit stop each way at an nice travel center) and you also factor in some time stopping at different hotels for pickups/dropoffs. This results in a long day, but the 5ish hours spent in the town and on the boat were really great and exceeded expectations. The scenery is amazing and a nice change from Rio beaches. Definitely worth doing if you can be patient and accept the drive time. The tour guide was professional and organized. I would recommend this tour.

Lucas never forgot about the only American on board. I am surprised he handled everyone and still had time to explain everything. This tour literally made my trip to Brazil to enjoy its beauty outside of Rio. The music on the boat the logistics of the taxi to get us to the boats was well coordinated. Maybe our tour guide was just the best Lucas thank you made our day. Long day but worth every minute. Do not miss this tour the beaches the water the experience was worth it all.

The place is absolutely amazing, this haven't any discussion but the negative thing is the tour guy was with us TODAY, him name is LUCAS and he is SCAMMING to the tourists: 1. Doesn't matter you got the booking all included, he is gonna ask you for extra tasas (25 reales or more for taxes, taxi...) when the only service not included are 6 reales (3 tax of boat and another 3 tax management garden). You can check it on your viator ticket (I showed him before paying and he mentioned how it is wrong) 2. This tour don't mentioned anything about snorkel or cover for phones, well, as optional they gonna offer you a RENT it for double price before arriving at the boat port (Marina) where you can get it in the shops for haft prices before boarding to the boat. 3. He didn't bring me back my change and either others tourists when we paid the taxes. We were a group of 40 peoples, towards the end of the tour, he didnt ask any tips and that's make sense, he scammed all tourists in the beginning. I hope Viator takes actions in this tour, its disgusting people like that working in tourism.

When booking this trip we were told they would pick us up at our hotel. Right after paying for the trip I asked about pickup at our hotel. They then told me that they would not pick us up at our hotel. Instead, we would have to take a taxi at 6:00am to go 40 minutes to a pickup spot. So I told them I wanted to cancel. They refused even though I first told them that with 24 hours notice. They kept emailing me back asking me to continue. Communication was difficult as their english was not very good. I messaged them back and forth after to try and get my refund and they refused. I contacted Viator and they refused as well. They were very difficult to deal with. I ended up having to contact my credit card company to get my refund. Even after doing that they refused at first until I provided my credit card company with copies of all our emails. After almost 3 months I finally got my refund. I would never trust this tour company. I would also never use Viator again. Instead, we got a taxi to take us on a custom tour that day. It actually cost less, and we went exactly were we wanted to go. And of course they picked us up at our hotel.

Great trip worth every dime. Breathtaking views. The beaches are beautiful the water is so blue. Our tour guide spoke very good English considering everyone speaks Portuguese, she was very helpful and friendly It was an amazing experience

This tour is a great way to get a taste of the beautiful region that is Arraial do Cabo The Caribbean of Brazil’s eastern coast The price includes a long bus ride, party boat with 3-4 stops for swimming, and a buffet dinner. And transportation back. You’re guided the whole way with a guide to orient you and keep you going in the right direction. The area is very pretty, clear water, big tourist attraction without having to figure it out on your own and do the driving and such.

Trip was great, well cooperate and organised. Enjoyed lot of with beach and boat ride, driving into sea.

Even when I requested for an English speaking tour. There was no translator Plus the scheduling was all over the place. Nothing was done on time.

Amazing beaches, fun boat trip with fun staff and a good holiday vibe but badly organised. pick up was 30 minutes late, dropped off almost a km away from where we were staying, lunch was at 6pm Still a fun day but very Rio in terms of organisation

It took us almost 5 hours to get to the destination, to only get off 40 minutes to the beach, and then do boat tours without being able to get off, honestly I didn't like it, 80% of the time we spent it back and forth

The tour is very top. Many places to visit in Rio in a single day and always. The guides Magnun and Mr José are sensational, attentive and very friendly. Very good.

Arraial do Cabo was a bad experience. We were excited to visit but when we got there we were faced with reality. Dirty city, horrible internet anywhere in the city, very expensive food and worst of all, poor quality food, we are poorly served, not to mention being extorted on the beach! Anyway, what's worth it is the boat trip along the beaches, which are really beautiful, but that's it. A day at a camp is a good time!

The tour was incredible. We had great service from start to finish. The guide, Bianca, is an excellent professional. As a suggestion, review the tour time, as we had delays and little time on the beaches. But I would go on tours with you again.

What was that trip?!!! Simply perfect! Beautiful place, I was delighted. The beaches are beautiful, the guide is well-humored, which is a positive point, the jacuzzi tour was perfect, the captain super fun, put everyone to dance. Just one observation, on this tour we left a little late, so we finished the tour already at night, the ideal would be to leave earlier. But nothing that has hampered the walk, it was very worth it, already give the desire to return. I recommend the agency, great service from the first contact.

The beaches are paradisiacal. For those who swim for the first time, the sun is very strong. The city is very quiet.

The landscapes are amazing we took lots of pictures! Super recommend! When I get back to Rio I'll do it again with this agency.
