We were picked up 30 mins late, from then on it was disorganised chaos. The guide had to go buy the tickets but we ended up in the same queues for sugar loaf mountain, we missed the sunset (which was the whole point!!) and ended up seeing it in the dark. Really disappointed, the guide did his best and told us some interesting facts but I would never recommend this. Christ the redeemer part was fine.

Itinerary
Ipanema beach is bordered by Arpoador Beach on one end and Leblon Beach on the other end. This beach is considered one of the main centers of activity for the city of Rio. One of the most expensive places to live, the neighborhood is full of wealthy residents.
Is one of the most famous and most beautiful beaches in the world. The atmosphere is very vibrant and the people are colorful and fun loving. After the pick-up we will start the tour from Copacabana Beach.
The Botafogo beach are one of the most beautiful postcards of Rio de Janeiro, being inside the Guanabara Bay and having the Sugar Loaf ahead to set the scene. However the beach is more frequented by locals, for sports, sun bathing and recreation, instead of swimming. Occasionally some music concerts are organized in the place.
The palace was built around 1853 for a merchant named Machado Coelho in neoclassical style. It was acquired by the imperial government in 1865 in favor of the recently married Princess Isabella and the Count of Eu; On this occasion, the architect José Maria Jacinto Rebelo underwent some transformations to the building. He also planted a hundred palm trees to give more solemnity to the access road. In 1889, the building was confiscated by the Republican government and subjected to a new restoration in 1908 under the direction of Francisco Marcellino de Souza Aguiar and landscape architect Paul Villon, in an eclectic style. After various uses, the palace belongs since 1960 to the government of the state of Rio.
The Tijuca Forest or Floresta da Tijuca is a tropical rainforest in the city of Rio de Janeiro which is 3.5% of the city of Rio de Janeiro, around 11 times Central Park in NY. The tour will reach Tijuca Forest with a stop at Paineiras to board the official vehicles of the National Park Authority to be able to reach the top of the Corcovado Hill where The Christ The Redeemer Statue is located.
From the top of Corcovado Hill you will be able to admire The Christ of the Redeemer statue, which has 38m or 125 feet in height and was made of reinforced concrete clad in a mosaic of thousands of triangular soapstone tiles, and also will have a chance to see some of the most beautiful views of the city.
Only in case of poor visibility on the summit of the Corcovado, we will make an alternative stop at Mirante Dona Marta which offers one of the most incredible views of the city, guaranteeing the title of one of the most visited tourist attractions in Rio de Janeiro.

We had a great time at Christ the Redeemer. It was the perfect amount of time to get photos. They did change the time of our reservation a a day or two prior which was a little annoying since we wanted to be there early but nonetheless still a great experience!
I booked the early tour with a view to avoiding the worst of the crowds, but they changed the time so went when it was very crowded. Lucia was a great guide, kept things under control and navigated the chaos.
Amazing tour!! Thank you. I loved the fact that we were able to get there at a reasonable time. Thanks again
I got moved to a different tour since this was not offered during Carnaval, so I was one a tour that went to Christ and Sugarloaf. The tour that I went on was definitely not one of the first groups there and it was packed. I think it would be better to decide on a day where you want to go to the statue and wake up early to take yourself there. I also don't think you would need a tour for Sugarloaf. There's a large shopping center at the top of both mountains and it would have been nice to sit and have lunch or a few drinks there. But since we only got 30 minutes at the top of sugar loaf and 20 minutes at the second stop, there wasn't time. For both Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf you'd be better going yourself and getting up early.
The host was friendly and great overall just read the inclusions we had to pay for the entry fee in both locations I believe there was a different package on here that includes the entree fee just makes it easier.
Despite letters to Customer Relations, and also the Chief Executive, I have had no response to my request for a refund for a payment we made to a seat change several weeks before our flight. I enclosed copies of a receipt for the paid seat selection and also our boarding passes. NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER.
Mercury retrograde gets a bad reputation, but did you know all planets experience retrogrades? This guide breaks down the meaning and effects of retrogrades, explaining how they influence communication, relationships, and personal growth. Learn how to use retrograde periods for reflection, reassessment, and personal transformation, rather than succumbing to chaos or confusion.
We had an awesome experience with our tour guide Monica. She was very informative and knowledgeable. Everything ran to a tight schedule and was extremely professionally handled. No standing in long queues. Would highly recommend.
Misleading, you are just paying for the travel to the statue where you only get around 40 minutes. The tour guide also spoke minimally about the view because many others were going to Sugar Loaf mountain after and would see similar views, so again using this tour option I didn’t get an actual tour. It is very overpriced considering this. I opted out of the journey back in order to spend more time at the statue and enjoy the cafe. I asked the operator to consider these factors and offer a partial refund but they said no. Yes the terms are listed in the T&Cs of the tour but for the price you would think entrance is included, something that is normal in most tours. My original booking was also cancelled as they didn’t have availability. They didn’t let me know until the evening before either so I had to re-arrange my plans last minute. I wish I just cancelled now!!!!
This was a great experience, great host, very informative and interactive!! I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Rio
Sabrina is an excellent, helpful and knowledgeable guide. It was a great experience. Thank you very much.
The driver Valdemar and guide Sabina were great, very friendly, and helpful. However, we purchased this tour by the title: " Corcovado and Christ Statue," but they never mentioned this is JUST the ride to the place. It does not include any entrance. So DON'T buy this if you want to go to the Christ. This is a poor description of what you will get. The title should have said: TRANSPORTATION ONLY to the Sugarloaf & Christ! You either buy a full package with transportation and entrance included or get this transportation ticket and be willing to pay additional there.
Our tour guide, Aline, was fantastic. She explained the history of Rio as we headed to Christ the Redeemer. Aline was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend this company to friends and family. A shout out to Lino, our driver—he was very nice and a great driver. THANK YOU 🙏
This is basically a shuttle service to take you to Christ The Redeemer and Sugar Loaf. This is in no way a reflection on the driver and the guide who were very helpful and informative. You get to these places as everyone else maybe with an expedite process of getting tickets but that's it. Might be worth it in high season but not the shoulder period.
I had a wonderful time in this trip to Cristo. I highly recommend this service. The air conditioned van picks you up early and brings you right to the destination with help of a fantastic guide. Don’t hesitate!!
The tour we booked was combined with a different tour group who had a full day tour. For a 3hr tour, I had expected to stay at Christ the Redeemer longer. We stayed only 45 min since the other group had more sites to see. Also had to wait while the other group was dropped off at Sugar Loaf before we could return to our hotel. Felt like a lot of time was wasted especially when we were not one of the first to arrive at Corcovado. The place was already packed.
Just the best! Amazing energy and aura from Victoria really made our experience even sweeter. My son & I traveled very far just for this attraction & im so fortunate to have found such a great tour company to make our visit absolutely magical. The views were breathtaking. Our photos are flawless! Taking the tour first thing we were on the first bus up. It’s just my son and I in our photos. Exactly what we wanted! Definitely a must do tour with this company.
It was pouring the day of the tour, other people with reservations cancelled, but my guide Kiko and driver Flavio made sure I had the greatest time. And I did! For a couple minutes it was just me and the Cristo. A memorable and touching experience
The visit was amazing and tour guid was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well. It is a must do in Rio had soooo much fun and the morning time is best time to go due to huge crowds of people. That is a tour definitely to take advantage of it was amazing.
If visiting Rio, the site of Christ the Redeemer, is a 'must do'. It is iconic. The views up there are fantastic (although be aware that the pinnacle is so high up, there can be clouds obscuring the view). On the day we went, fortunately they parted. There are various ways up there. We think it is amazing that anyone could actually hike it (incidentally, we heard of armed bandits recently robbing a group of hikers in the forest trails, way below the site). From a distance, you get the perspective of just how steep and high the peak actually is... We took a minibus with joint entry ticket deal (leaving from Poste 2 in Copacabana). The journey up is great, but the arrival point at a vehicle staging post was a scene of chaos....You sort of work out where the queue is. It took nearly half an hour to reach the turnstile. Our ticket featured a bar-code (journey/entry ticket)- we showed the image code on our mobiles to the attendant at the turnstiles. It may be confusing as other people at that point are looking to buy entry tickets. In eventually getting through the managed turnstiles you then join another queue. Some of the queue lines are undercover but other parts not- beware hot sunshine or potentially heavy downpours (a fold up umbrella is useful). The second queue weaves about until you reach a staging post for a shuttle of minivans. These drop you off near the base of the statue - there are steps or use of lift (aka elevator) to reach the decking area. Around the base of the statue the decks have amazing views in all directions. It was absolutely packed up there but the effort is worthwhile. It may be worth considering the time of day to visit- we arrived at about 10.30am. In leaving there is another queue, waiting for the shuttle bus down to the initial staging post (again no outdoor cover- so be aware!)
Carmen was an excellent host, great experience, a lot of fun Where is, wear sneakers , a bit of walking involved
After an early pick up, the guide gave us a commentary on Rio en route to Corcovado. By the time we got up to the top, there were only a few tourists around. This meant we were able to get a nice picture of the statue with being crowded. By the time we had walked around and seen the rest of the views the place was packed! So grateful that found this tour. The tour guide was also nice enough to take photos for us.
Excellent activity. We were truly the first super early in the morning. Kiko our guide was very knowledgable, super nice and super cool! Really recommend it.
Do not get the train, get a taxi up instead and buy your ticket. Arrive early to beat the crowds and travel in low season to avoid 40+ temperatures 2 hour waits.
Go early, take the mountain train, sit on the rhs ( When on the train facing up towards the mountain top) and face backwards for marvellous views. At the top, the views are fantastic, you can even get a drink and buy a souvenir.
We were unlucky with the weather, basically no visibility during our time up there. However, the visit was still enjoyable, thanks to our guide Gisela, she tought us many-many interesting information about the Corcovado and Rio generally. Without mentioning her advices what to visit later on (Carnival Experience (a must !), Colombo Confeitaria, and last but not least : Rio Scenarium for samba dancing).
Great pre tour information re our hotel pick up time. Good driver. Gisele was an efficient and helpful tour guide. It was easy for us to buy the entrance ticket with the credit card. We were one of the first to reach the Christ the Redeemer statue on a day with clear blue skies. This gave us stunning views of the surrounding area. The statue itself is very impressive and well worth a photo. The road trip up and down was also interesting. We were delivered back to our hotel in good time via a comfortable van.
We enjoyed a wonderful tour with Gisela Vayda of RST. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant and ensured that we missed the crowds as much as possible.
The description is true - we were the first at the statue and have photographs to prove it. Gisela knows exactly how to get this unique experience with no fuss. It might be an early start but the information she shared during the drive was both informative and educational and getting up early was so worth it. She flipped from Spanish to English and back with consummate ease. She also lay on the ground to capture that all important photo - definitely goes beyond the regular tour guide. I'm looking forward to returning to Rio and booking my next visit with her again.
We went on the early morning half day tour which promises to get you to Christ the Redeemer statue before the crowds. Well I thought it was too good to be true but we were actually the first group at the entrance to the park and therefore the first ones to get to the top. And it was well worth it to get those amazing views and pictures without hords of others blocking your shot. Our guide and fellow travelers were great too. The small group mixed well, would highly recommend to others.
<p>This was great, we were the first people in the morning to visit Christ the Redeemer, it opened 8.00am so we had pictures without any crowds. Great informative guide. This trip is highly recommended.<br/> David Brisbane Australia.</p>
<p>The Christ statue visit was wonderful despite the bad weather. We were just shocked to be told by the tour guide that our tour was over immediately afterwards that there were no Other 6 Attractions for us to participate in, so we were dropped at our hotel! Something is wrong with the organisation as we were also only picked 30 min after the nominated time.</p>
<p>What an Excellent Tour!! A great way to see the City of Rio!! I strongly suggest the 7AM tour - as it gets to Cristo at 8AM for opening. Within 1 hour, it was very busy and hard to take pictures. Bring cash, as the shops at the top have internet issues. The shop at the bottom is overpriced. We had Katia Kathy as our Guide. She was an incredible delight!! Definitely takes pride in her job. And was always available to assist in picture-taking. Knowledge about the drive up/back to Cristo, and available for questions.</p>
<p>We enjoyed this excursion to Corcovado very much. Our guide, Kiko, was ready for us as we arrived to the pickup point 10 minutes early bonus points! and provided us an enjoyable, descriptive trip to the mountain. We had plenty of time to see the statue before the clouds and the crowds rolled in. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Rio.</p>
Credit cards are accepted at all attractions. Pay currency in your countries by credit card. This will save you money.
fantastic, fun trip to the top. beautiful view over bay, neighborhoods and beaches. cool guide with lots of info. absolution recommended
We got there early, so no queues for the train upstairs. Arriving at the top there was fog in the bay and it was misty on the mountain. That was a shame. It gave a serene feeling, the Christ image shrouded in mists. There were few people, so we could walk around and take pictures, occasionally the fog lifted a bit. But it didn't get really bright.
We went early, at one of the earliest times. It was excellent! no fuss, no long waiting time. It was very windy up there and it was cold! There isn't much to do other than take photos with the monument.
Although it is the number 1 ride in Rio, it is too noisy, which takes away some of the shine. The climb through the alleys of Cosme Velho and the Tijuca Forest is cool, the panoramic view (very dependent on weather conditions) is stunning, but the number of people fighting for places to take photos is irritating and takes away from the essence of the tour.
A must do. They picked us up from the hotel. Very nice guide (English) who taught us lots of things. We arrive in the 1st so not too many people. We didn't queue. If you can afford to spend a little more than an Uber + guide I recommend
Great experience, beautiful view. Take an Uber up and buy the tickets in the shop. There the tickets cost less than 60 reals in the off-season and a little over 80 reals in the high season. However, if you buy them outside, the tickets cost 180 reals
It is a fantastic experience, just arriving you feel something incredible not only because of the work executed but also because of a spiritual filling. Everything is very well organized.
We went up with the trenzinho which was pretty. I thought it better than go up with another transport. The purchase of the ticket is made via the internet (you must print the received email to present at the checkpoint). We arrived with 30 minutes in advance and even having a problem in their system, were attentive and was quiet to enter and choose places. Even though it was Friday morning, which theoretically is a not so busy schedule, it was quite full but not crowded. The business is to have patience and wait a bit to take the special photo. A must do it from the river ne???
Always very good service. Very good food.we are here every time we are in Rovinj. Coming back every time. Live this place. ☀️👏
Fui muito bem atendido! Otimo passeio!! Amei A Katia guia, foi super atenciosa com todos! O transporte de myita boa qualidade!
It was good, a privileged view, hot and very hot. Carry water. Lots of people taking pictures. Hard to get a good picture.
100% recommended, excellent guide. They looked for us at the hotel and it was a personalized, very professional and friendly Service.
We start the morning visiting the Christ the Redeemer, then the Maracana, the Seleron Staircase, the Cathedral, the Sambadrome. We had lunch over Copacabana and went to Sugar Loaf. Beautiful excursion. He knows the whole city. It starts 9 hours and ends 17 hours. Wonderful tour!
Exhilarating the Christ the Redeemer so majestic and immense work of art and the derio view from there is wonderful
