City Tour Full Day In Rio: Christ The Redeemer And Sugar Loaf

I think it would have been fine if it was not for the guide, Rosie. I have been traveling for weeks, did a dozen guided tours, and she was the least informative out of all of them. The infornation she shared she mostly read from paper. Other than that she was nice, but not what you’d expect on a guided tour. I’d request an other guide.

The tour was very well organised and everything ran right on time. Sofia was an amazing guide: very knowledgeable, attentive throughout the entire experience, and also really funny! She made the tour even more enjoyable with her energy and sense of humour. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great experience! 😊

Our Guide Rosye was exceptional. She kept us well informed in both English and Spanish. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. The weather did not cooperate with us at Christ the Redeemer as the fog would allow for a clear picture, but being up close to it was a life changing experience. We will definitely be back to try for some sunshine and request Rosye again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Rio De Janeiro!

Everything was well organized, thank you to Adrianna and our professional driver.. and we really enjoyed the whole tour. Definitely one of the highlights of our Brazil trip! Our guide Rosye is amazing! She is very kind, responsive and organized. We had a very smooth trip thanks to her. I have to leave for airport early, and she arranged to drop me offf in a police office station so I can wait for my taxi safely.

The tour with Rose as the guide and Julio as the driver was truly exceptional! Rose is an expert, knowledgeable, and very personable guide. We visited Rio's most interesting spots, accompanied by excellent commentary and perfect timing. The small group size and the minibus made it easy to get around quickly. What was scheduled as a 9 hour day turned into 13 hours. Several changes of itinerary meant we went to Christ the Redeemer when the sun had gone down. The sites we visited were great but we spent too much time "killing time" and hanging around. Diego, the guide, was lovely and it wasn't his fault but he could have communicated earlier the reason for dragging things out (ie we had a 5pm slot at JC).

It was an unforgettable experience, Giselle was a great guide, super friendly and calm. I would repeat it again for sure.

Our tour had 18 people in a van. It was very well organised right from pickup to drop. We had enough time to enjoy sugar loaf and christ redeemer. We also stopped by spanish steps and the stadium and had views of the city. Our tour guide Rosy and our driver was amazing. Lunch and cable car along with tickets to sugar loaf and christ redeemer were included. Everyone on the tour were on time for visiting all the sites and stop for lunch. Definitely recommend this tour and value for money.

There were six of us -- grandparents, parents, a 13-year-old and a 10-year-old. Guilherme took great care of each of us! He took us everywhere we wanted to go, designing the route to make the best use of our time, answered our questions, helped us "skip the line," shared his "local insider" knowledge and made great recommendations for dinner. Highly recommended!

Amazing tour of Rio! The visit to Cristo Redentor and Sugarloaf were incredible, and we were really lucky with perfect weather and the Brasil vs Japan football game was on the same afternoon so it was a great atmosphere in the city. The guide Didi was super fun and friendly, I had such an enjoyable time. Driver Luis was wonderful too and I'm so glad I wasn't driving in the Rio traffic. It was much easier to be driven everywhere and not have to worry about admission fees as it was all included, well worth it. The other stops were nice too, and about right in terms of timing. Cathedral was much more impressive from the inside. Would thoroughly recommend the tour!

The entire day was amazing! Our tour guide Rosye was phenomenal!! She treated my group as her kids, made sure we always stayed together, stopped when we needed a second to tie shoes or take a smoke break. We were able to get a lot done as well as having time to do everything! Couldn’t recommend more

The food wasn’t great because I’m vegan nothing was labeled and the options were extremely limited. I would have like a bit more time at the Jesus statue. We had an amazing day exploring Rio! The tour was very well organized, and visiting both Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain in one day was absolutely worth it. Didi was our tour guide, and she was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, energetic, and always making sure everyone was having a great time. She shared interesting information throughout the day and kept everything running smoothly. Transportation was comfortable, the buffet lunch was good, and we loved seeing landmarks like Escadaria Selarón, the Catedral, Maracanã, and the Sambódromo. Everything was taken care of, including the tickets, which made the experience completely stress-free. If you’re visiting Rio and want to see the main attractions in a single day, I highly recommend this tour. And if you get Didi as your guide, you’re in great hands!

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to cover Rio’s main attractions in a single day without the hassle of planning. The itinerary was well organized, and we managed to visit all the major sights. Our guide, Deedy, was wonderful-friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The only area for improvement would be the amount of time spent at Christ the Redeemer. The site was extremely crowded, and with so many people competing for photo spots, the visit felt a bit rushed. A little extra time there would have made the experience even better. Overall, a very enjoyable and conveniences.

Didi is a knowledgeable and friendly guide who made the tour enjoyable. However, She often switched between Portuguese (or Spanish) and English while explaining things, which sometimes made it difficult for me to follow the information. I think the experience would be even better if he could separate the languages and speak in one language at a time, allowing guests to fully understand each explanation before moving on.

I spent the day with Rosie our guide and Jonathan our driver, Rosie was really passionate about her job you can see how much she loves being around people and the driver also really kind he brought us everywhere!

Dee Dee was very knowledgeable and was impressive speaking several languages while serving as a guide for diverse group. I recommend having lunch at one of the restaurants ene route to the Christ the Redeemer statute, even if its necessary to to pay for your own meal, as an alternative to the buffet style dining establishment chosen. For the cost, this tour was a good value. DL

Fine experience in Rio de Janeiro

Great day out with Rosey touring the key sites in Rio. Everything is booked in advanced, so it’s a stress free day. Also includes a buffet lunch. Highly recommend if you’re short on time and you’d like to cover Rio’s key sights.

The trip was excellent. It's just that we have limited time in each attraction. Rose, our guide, was competent and fluent in English. It is feasible to visit all of these attractions in a single day. Van transportation is also comfortable. Buffet lunch is also included. They will pick you up and drop you off in your accommodation.

One of the best city tours I’ve ever experienced! I absolutely loved every moment of the day it was amazing from start to finish. Our guide, Rosy, was wonderful and made everything perfectly organized . Rosy was such a great person to meet and made the day even more enjoyable with her kindness and professionalism. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch buffet at a lovely restaurant the food was excellent. Truly one of the best experiences in Rio!

Great experience. With 6 million people we knew Rio was going to be a challenge to explore so the tour made it easier … still challenging dealing with so many tourists crammed into the hotspots but having Rosye guide the way was fabulous. We saw: Christ the Redeemer - amazing but so busy. Big tip … avoid weekends if you can. 220 steps at the end which would have been ok if not for all the people. Would suggest taking the train to the top if you can. Only one lift was working so it added yet another lineup if you can’t manage steps. Sugar Loaf Mountain - cable car ride to the top is great if you get a spot by the windows. Save photos for the viewing decks. Amazing. Maracana Stadium (outside only) - waste of time if you can’t go in. The Cathedral - oddest looking cathedral but cool to see inside. Saleron (steps) - loved this. 200+steps lined with tiles (and tales) from all over the world. It’s an Insta hotspot and fun to see how everyone tries to get “their”shot. Plenty of souvenirs on offer. Nice buffet lunch. Huge day. Our guide Rosye knew her stuff and repeated it all for those of us who couldn’t speak Portuguese.

Our guide Didi was AMAZING! She was fun, knowledgeable and charismatic. We got to see all the main important spots in Rio and some more. Needless to say, I WILL BE BACK!
