Christ The Redeemer Helicopter Tour - Rio De Janeiro

Though a cloudy day, the tour in the helicopter was still absolutely incredible. The flight was very comfortable and all I can say is what a fantastic pilot we had. The journey felt practically weightless! This was so relaxing and allowed me and my partner to sit back, relax and enjoy beautiful views from up in the sky. The venue is great, they’ve done wonderfully with the decor and the staff are all friendly and polite. We upgraded to a private flight for a small extra fee which was most definitely worth the money. Would recommend this experience to all.

Every aspect of our booking was very easy and professional. I was contacted within minutes of my booking and the arrangements were made without any fuss. We added transfers from the hotel and were kept updated about the arrival time on the morning of the flight.The team at the heliport were very friendly and explained what was going to happen. The flight was amazing with spectacular views of Copacabana beach and of course, Christ the Redeemer. A fantastic experience and one that I would definitely recommend.

Our helicopter tour over Christ the Redeemer was absolutely incredible! The views were breathtaking and such a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We were so appreciative that the team was able to accommodate us on the next flight after our other tour ran longer than expected. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience seamless from start to finish. The flight itself was unforgettable — seeing Rio from above was truly amazing. Highly recommend!

Starting point is about 45mins drive from centre of Rio, so you spend a lot longer in the taxi than you do on your helicopter ride. Guess that’s why it’s a little cheaper. No safety talk, very little interaction with staff before boarding, then you are off. It’s a pretty small helicopter of its for three of you so beware if you are a little claustrophobic.

If you can do it then do it. It’s one of the highlights of my trip to Rio. The staff was friendly and communication was easy.

I purchase a ticket to flight around Christ the Redeemer with Helicopter Co on January 8, 2026 for my birthday Feb 13th. I messaged them and asked them what time would the helicopter flight be. They responded and stated 4pm I can arrive at 3:30. I responded ok. The morning of the flight I was traveling and received a message that the flight time was for 3:00. I told them that wasn’t the time they originally told me. I told them I wouldn’t be able to make it because I had to check into my Airbnb. They told me since I couldn’t make it they would have to cancel. So instead of checking into my Airbnb I went straight to Helicopter Rio. I have all my bags with me carrying down the entire Helicopter Rio. I get there and I had the worst experience ever. They made me ride in the back of the go cart. I sat in the middle. The other riders closed all the windows, it was hot. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I told the manage about my experience and she said she couldn’t do anything.

I booked a shared helicopter flight. About two hours before the scheduled departure, Helicopter Rio contacted me to inform me that due to unstable weather conditions, they could not guarantee full visibility of the scenery during my flight time. They asked whether I preferred to proceed anyway or reschedule. Since I was leaving Rio the following day, I replied that I wanted to keep the flight as planned, or, if they decided to cancel it, to receive a refund. They informed me that they would need to check with the other passengers on the shared flight. I did not receive any response in the following minutes, and as the flight location was about one hour away from where I was staying, I had no choice but to take an Uber and head to their premises to avoid missing the flight. After arriving, I completed the registration process and all required formalities. However, only about 20 minutes before the scheduled flight time, I was informed that the flight was cancelled because the other passengers on the shared flight had decided to reschedule for another day. While I was eventually refunded, I consider this behavior unprofessional. The flight could and should have been cancelled earlier, before passengers were expected to travel to the premises. As a result of this last-minute cancellation, I wasted approximately three hours traveling back and forth and incurred the cost of two Uber rides, only to be informed at the last moment that my flight was cancelled due to the decision of the other passengers.

A must do, so worth it. Professional and experienced company. Very slick operation. A*. Could not fault it. Highly recommend

A fantastic experience, with a circuit of Christ the Redeemer giving a perfect perspective you don't get from the ground. My son's highlight of our trip to Rio, with a highly professional pilot. Highest recommendation.

The overall experience was let down by the fact the prior to making the booking it was sold as 3 passengers on the helicopter with the seat allocation being configured by a lot. We arrived to find my husband and I as well as another couple were on the flight. This meant that 1 of the 4 passengers would be squashed into the middle of the back seat with a restricted view. My husband actually won the front seat but kindly swapped with me after I'd drawn the middle seat in the back, I'd been really excited about the experience and he wanted me to get the full buzz of riding shotgun in a helicopter for the first time. We were taken to the helicopter and when he got in the restricted view from the middle seat was a disgrace (see attached photographs). Even when I the sky he had strangers either side of him moving around taking pictures with their phones meaning there was very very little time or space for him to enjoy the experience! Everyone paid a equal amount to be on the flight and one passenger be it my husband, myself or any of the other 2 were given a completely underwhelming trip at the exact same cost as the others. I thoroughly enjoyed the flight taking in the sights over the wonderful coastline beaches and Christ the Redeemer. The only thing that spoiled it for me was the seating situation in the back. I complained to the provider after seeing the photos my husband took of his view and they have since updated the page on Get Your Guide stating that it's the luck of the draw as to what experience you'll get after paying £150 - £170. You'll find out 5 minutes before you take off what sort of view you'll get for your money and sadly there's a 1 in 4 chance it'll be a poor one. If we'd known prior to arriving we'd have cancelled and booked a private tour for just the 2 of us. My husband said if we hadn't sat in traffic for 2 hours he'd have just sat and waited for me with our driver once he'd seen the restricted view and requested his money back. The middle seat should be at the very least half the price of the others if it's to be sold on a tour. No way is that seat value for money at an equal cost to the rest. Special shout out to Eduardo who collected and returned us to the hotel. We were stuck in traffic for 2 hours before arriving and he returned us in jig time. Lovely man who's English was limited but went the extra mile to communicate.

An amazing experience, absolutely worth doing. The information in advance was good, and they followed up the booking on GetYourGuide immediately. The people at receptio, especially Michelle, was so kind and welcoming. The pilot was the sweetest guy and the view is unmatched. I loved it!

Simply unforgettable! The helicopter ride was an incredible experience from start to finish. The view from above is breathtaking and provides a wonderful new perspective of the city. The staff was extremely professional, attentive and passed us a lot of safety throughout the flight. I recommend it to anyone who wants to live a unique, exciting and beautiful moment. Worth every second!

The landscapes are amazing, we took huge photos , loved!!! I hope to be back soon, well worth it, without a doubt the best experiences!! 👍🏻👍🏻
