Christ The Redeemer, Selarón Steps And Sunset At Sugarloaf

I had an incredible experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to my guide, Fernanda. She made everything feel easy, engaging, and genuinely special from beginning to end. Seeing Christ the Redeemer in person was breathtaking and absolutely lived up to expectations. I ended up enjoying Sugarloaf Mountain even more. The views were unforgettable, and the whole experience felt richer because of Fernanda’s knowledge and the way she shared it. Fernanda was wonderful. She brought such a natural warmth and energy to the tour and made it feel personal without trying too hard. It really would not have been the same without her. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. She made the experience.

We opted to take a private tour which cost us multiple over than the normal price for this tour in order to meet our ship departure time. Unfortunately, the day before the scheduled day for the tour. the operator contested that that the tour was private and was planning on having another guest on the tour with us to which we objected. He later apologized after we have told him how much we had paid for this tour when then he redeemed the situation by sending on a private taxi with its nice guide driver. Thereafter, the tour proceeding very well.. The pre-start was unsavory but the end was good. The communication between Viator and its operator should have been clear in the first place. Another issue we had with this booking was that Viator had charged our card the full amount not passing on the 5% discount on the other tour as shown on their confirmation. Must do better

I had an extra day at the end of my business trip and tried to make the most of it despite the terrible weather that caused another operator to cancel a similar tour. Ederson was the guide and the owner of Trip in Rio. Since the others on this tour had postponed due to the weather, he contacted me and made sure I still got to see the sites. He personally drove me to these places and was the best guide I've ever had. He knows everybody - all of the drivers, facility staff, vendors. AMAZING! A very friendly and popular guy. His English speaking was on the level of native - very helpful for an American. He made sure my tour was wonderful. I will definitely book with Trip in Rio next time when I bring my wife.

The views were beautiful!!! One of the bonuses of our experience was all the great pictures taken by our wonderful tour guide, Eddie. The Christ the Redeemer statue was all I hoped it would be. We also saw monkies and a great gift shop. The items in there are of great quality. The Selaron steps are beautiful! Eddie shared the history and significance of that wonderful site...amazing!! Sugarloaf was not only amazing but has great history. It's a great place for pictures. Our tour guide was one of the best photographers around. He captured some beautiful memories for us. I would highly recommend him! He made the trip truly memorable.

Our guide for the 6 hours was Ederson Oliveira, and he was very professional and took great care of us. The process of booking him and how he interacted with us pre our arrival to Rio was second to none. He was friendly and helpful and was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic day in Rio. We leant a lot about the history and culture while we visited the top attractions in Rio. We can highly recommend Ederson.

Jabier gave us a great tour despite on-and-off rain blocking some views of this magnificent city. He was able to show the city at its almost-best, knew lots of history and anecdotes, and was fun and accommodating. We'd definitely use him again for a future visit!

Highly recommend choosing Ederson as your tour guide around Rio!!! He mapped out an itinerary for us- but the day of the tour it was unexpectedly foggy and rainy. Ederson improvised a new plan on the spot, and we could not have been happier with how it went. We still feel like we got a great feel for the city and got to see a lot while learning about the history and culture. He was great at communicating with us from the moment we booked - and even ended up bringing items we accidentally left in his car back to us the day after our tour.

My husband and I did this 5 hour tour of Rio on the last day of our trip in January 2020 and it was by far the highlight of our vacation. Ederson’s half-day tour of Rio was the highlight of our 3 day trip, and we’re so grateful to have had the experience to spend time with him exploring the well-known and hidden treasures of this amazing city. He waited outside our out-of-the-way hotel 20 mins early in his own safe vehicle, and from there we kept a solid pace exploring Christo, Santa Teresa, the Selaron Steps, the downtown Cathedral, the Columbo Coffee Shop, and Sugarloaf, with plenty of time for shopping and small notable diversions along the way. Rio’s a big city, and having someone like Ederson who understands how to maximize our time was crucial for enjoying the experience. He speaks fluent English and has a ton of pride in showing-off the beauty + charm of Rio (like taking small short-cuts to show off cool sights/architecture), providing history facts and lessons along the way. He also seems to know everyone, and it’s awesome to be able to spend time with a guide who’s truly pasisonate (and honest) about what’s great and not so great about his hometown. He even checked out the restaurant we wanted to check out post-tour to make sure it was ok....do yourself a favor and book Ederson for your trip.

After completing a business trip, my colleagues and I decided to spend an afternoon visiting sites in Rio. Ederson was very accommodating to our schedule and was great during the tour! He went out of his way to customize the tour based on our available time. We visited Christ the Redeemer and Mt. Sugarloaf, and provided the history of many well known (and not so well known) sites along the way. I highly recommend Ederson for small private tours! If I'm ever back in Rio, I'll be sure to contact him for another tour to various sites.

A special tour! We visit the main tourist attractions of Rio de Janeiro, always receiving historical information from each of the locations. Ederson welcomed us at the airport and took us back to the end of the tour, conducted with a lot of sympathy and attention. He also helped us with the photographs, including giving tips for different pictures in the Carioca landscapes. Another highlight, on the Ederson tour, is that he can perform it in both Portuguese and English, which in our case was very important. We only had one day in Rio and we were able to visit all the points we wanted, in addition to others. Ederson capricious in everything and helped make this visit to the wonderful city extraordinary.
