We will learn the basics of Capoeira, including the movements, the music and the history. You will have a teacher taking care of all your needs in a unique cultural experience. We will take care of your body, doing a full warm-up before teaching basic Capoeira movements and how to play the musical instruments.
Amazing experience! Not a touristy thing at all but a real capoeira class - was really special to be welcomed in to the class with locals and taught some moves. Highly recommend this to anyone - no experience needed and you will have a lovely time!

Really nice experience came with my partner and the teacher was so accommodating. I was a complete beginner and was nervous throughout but the atmosphere was amazing.
Come prepared to experience something like never before. Bring loose fitting clothing and stretch prior to class. Bring water to drink afterwards. You will be sore a few days after class. Nevertheless, it’s an awesome experience.
This was a fun way to learn capoeira in Brazil and was an interesting counterpoint to typical tourist experiences. The dance is beautiful combining stylized martial arts and music, and the group was open to those of differing physical ability.
This was wonderful!! I'm a trained fighter and had a delightfully humbling experience. The group was welcoming thr instructor was a amazing and made me feel like i was already a part of a family. I would reckoned this to anyone looking for a unique experience especially if you want to learn something wonderful about Brasil a d it's culture. My wife was injured earlier in the day and didn't get to participate and still had a great time taking photos and playing the instruments. I would give this 10 stars if I could , just be ready to sweat !!!

Fun experience! Easy in the beginning but got progressively more challenging…still a great activity for beginners. Highly recommend! I spoke very little Portuguese but everyone was very patient with me, tried their best to help and was very friendly!

It was very impressive to learn the ways of capoera. The end was incredibly fun and inclusive. They are one big family ready to take in people who are interested in this sport.
Unique experience. I had no idea that Capoeira had so many beautiful facets. Omri explained everything very well and after some practice I was able to join the rest of his group in singing and dancing for an even more authentic experience. 100% recommendable!

Really fun class for all fitness levels, it was easy to learn and try it out and fun to see the experts at the end and where you can really take the movements. We especially enjoyed the integration of musical instruments to bring the dance alive
The teacher speaks 4 languages and you indeed learn the basics of the dance. As someone who is a regualr at the gym, I was suprised at how difficult it was! I left exhausted and frustrated by my poor abilities, but the instructor is encouraging. If you are low on flexibility or have weak glutes, you won't accomplish much, but those of you who take yoga, do calisthetics and compound exercises may be much better. Love the music circle at the end for practice, but it is quite long at about 30-40 mins.
Great introduction to the art of Capoeira, really welcoming people and everyone has a huge smile on their faces. The music and singing at the end is pure joy.
This is simply a must do if you’re visiting Rio. There is nothing like taking a capoeira class in Brazil. It is so welcoming and uplifting. It is a workout so it’s good to wear comfortable clothes, but the energy is something I will never forget. The instructor is amazing, and takes time to really show you how it’s done. And he took videos of the experience so we didn’t have to. Not to mention, they do so much goodwill in Rio. 10/10!!
My son and I had a great time at this capoiera class. Omri was an excellent teacher who helped us learn the basic moves, and the regular students were friendly and kind. This was not a "tourist" group. Most of the students live in Rio and attend regularly. We ended the class playing musical instruments while different students performed. The music, the history, the moves -- it all added up to a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this.
This capoeira class was definitely a highlight of my time spent in Rio, the teacher and the students were incredibly welcoming and nice ! Thank you for this beautiful experience that I will remember for a long long time !
What an awesome end to our trip. We were able to participate in class as well as get some insight on an awesome social initiative that is supported through capoeira. We had a great time and Omri and the other fighters made us feel very welcomed and comfortable trying out this martial art form! A must do if visiting Rio!!
While on vacation in Rio, I wanted to have some authentic cultural experiences and Capoeira class was a great choice. Ferradura was a gracious host. I attended a group class and left the session feeling like part of the family.

We booked this as the weather after Carnival was due to be terrible. HOWEVER, it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. After booking I was contacted by Omri who gave me all the information I needed and made sure I was prepared. On arriving at the lesson the instructor, Luiz was friendly and passionate. He did a great job of translating the lesson in both Portuguese and English. We did a warm and some strength exercices before doing some techniques. Finally, a couple of us had the chance to do some non-contact sparring. I would highly recommend.
It was just great 😊 An incredible energy, we are 5 novices and we enjoyed this initiation. Sharing with the regulars is very nice. This must be done without any hesitation. Thank you for this moment.
An immersive experience, where you enter the local culture in a square where you are embraced by Rio and the companions you will meet in a ritual dance. Omri allows a meeting of cultures, countries and souls and for this he should be thanked.

Der Unterricht war super! Wir haben die Basic Steps in Caipoeira gelernt und direkt angewendet in einer Gruppe aus Anfängern und fortgeschrittenen Locals, da das Willkommenheißen anderer Kulturen zum Tanz und Brasilien gehört. Typisch mit eigener Musik mit Instrumenten gespielt im Kreis, in dem sich die Tänzer abwechseln. Eine tolle Erfahrung!
