A very long day (longer than anticipated- 7 am to 10pm back at hotel) but the town is definitely worth a visit. Lovely place. The food was pretty awful. Only ate a couple of bits. Has something to eat when got back. I’d do again but would try and leave food option out.

Our guide Ricardo was very friendly and helpful! We were the only English speaking guests and he made sure we we were able to communicate with the boat guides for snorkeling and pictures as well as keeping us informed in English for the entire trip! Búzios was beautiful and a highlight of our trip to Brazil! Highly recommend this trip and highly recommend Ricardo!
We booked this English speaking tour to Buzios which really is such a beautiful area. The area is well worth a visit however I would not recommend this exact tour especially if you are English speaking. We got picked up at 7.30am as discussed and made the 3 hour journey, all was going very smoothly until the boat tour. The boat trip included 3 separate stops with opportunities to swim at each which in my opinion is not needed, I'd say 1 or 2 maximum. With this came a lot of hidden costs. You had to pay 35 reals per person to swim in certain parts of the sea where the fish and coral are visible. With this deal you got underwater photos, to swim slightly away from the boat and a snorkel. We didn't want the snorkel or photos and said we just wanted to swim in the sea and see fish/coral but staff were adamant the fee still applied. There was no food or drink included in the cost on the boat (not even water!), this was all extra. After we had our swim we were advised we could buy the underwater photos which was another 200 reals. After paying 70 reals to swim in the sea then being stung to buy the photos we were told were included we were not happy. Whilst we were in the sea there were various small boats pulling up alongside our boat selling kebabs, ice cream etc. The staff allowed these people on board right next to our bags containing some of our valuables. The guys could have easily grabbed our bags and drove off. Thankfully nothing happened however this cut short our swimming time in the sea as we wanted to ensure our belongings were safe. Most of the boat staff including our tour leader were swimming in the sea, drinking cocktails and sunbathing in skimpy swimwear which in my opinion really isn't professional. Nobody explained to us in English where we were, what the plan was, etc. other than our very basic leaflet which was handed to us in the morning transfer. Apparently there was a turtle but again we were not told until we docked. Eventually we got back to the harbour. We then walked at least half hour in 35 degrees heat to our restaurant. After no food or drink since 7am at our hotel, by around 4pm we felt exhausted and more than ready for our included "lunch". I cannot fault the restaurant as the all-you-can-eat buffet was very nice, staff were attentive and friendly and the views were spectacular. Unfortunately we were told we had to meet at around 5.30pm to start our journey back to Rio. This left us an hour and a half to explore the streets of beautiful Buzios, rush our long awaited "lunch" and see the beach. Overall the boat trip was way too long, this was definitely not a tour for English speaking tourists and there was not much time to see Buzios. I wouldn't recommend this tour but I would recommend visiting this area as it is very beautiful and well worth the journey.
This is an all day trip. About 2 hours outside of Rio but such a beautiful little beach town. They take you to 3 different locations on the boat and good food at a local restaurant.
We were staying in a hotel in Leblon that was not on the tour company's list of hotels where they picked up passengers, so we had to leave our hotel much earlier to ensure we made it to the pick-up location in time of 6:50am. If we'd know the first 2 hours of the tour were going to be driving around the back streets of Ipanema and Copacabana picking up other passengers, we would have wouldn't have even gone. It's a 3+ hours bus ride to Buzios as it is. To make matters worse, at more than a few stops we had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for the people to emerge from their hotels. On the way it seemed these same people had to get up and ask the driver if there was internet on the bus. There wasn't, contrary to the sign that indicated there was. We finally arrived in Buzios around 12:30pm...already nearly a 6 hour day for us. On this day, no fault of the tour company, we were told minutes before we arrived that the schooner ride was cancelled by the Brazilian Navy because of high winds. So we eat lunch first since the schedule was now thrown off. Lunch at a local Brazilian buffet was just okay, great staff, but the food was nothing to write about. After lunch we met up with the group and the guide. I figured the trip would be cut short and we'd head back in a few hours, but that was not to be the case. The guide told us we were free to run about the city and to meet back at 5:40pm. 4+ hours to roam around Buzios. Nice city, but 4 hours was a bit much to walk around a place that doesn't have much except a lot of restaurants and bars...and we'd come all this way to ride a boat. The guide indicated we would get part of our money refunded, but I'm not certain we did. We finally get back on the bus. Again, a few people apparently can't tell time because we wait for them to make their way to the bus late. So begins the long ride back to Rio. Just as the ride to Buzios, half the bus has to get up and beat on the door seperating the driver from the passegers, this time about who know what. Thinking since we were the first to get on the bus that we'd be the last to be dropped off. Pablo, the guide, must have been thinking what I was and we found ourselves being dropped off first. Thank you, Pablo! Taxi back to the hotel, we arrived at 10pm. A heck of a lot longer than 12 hours, and that was without the boat ride. Personally, when the boat was cancelled, the trip should have been eat, shop, look around an hour hour and half, tops, Get back on the bus and go. We should have been back a lot earlier. Also , maybe to improve service and save time, instead of driving a big tour bus through the crowded streets of Rio picking up people, require everyone to meet the bus at a predetermined location at a set time. Everyone meets the bus, hops on, and it goes. Just a suggestion. While we experienced a place many never will, this was a complete waste of one of our precious days in Rio. We almost got off at one of the hotels when it was taking forever for the people to get on and cut our losses, but we thought better of it. Now we wish we had.
Not worth the 7hrs on the bus. The tour guide didn't translate anything in English he kept talking Brazilian & even though we told him we don't understand he just ignored us. He didn't give any information about how the tour was going to be etc... i don't even understand why he was there as he didn't do or explain anything. The tour is around 4hrs on a very old, dirty boat & they bring you to one spot to snorkel where there are some fish & then they stop to 2 more spots where there is nothing at all. After that you have lunch at 4pm in an unpleasant dirty restaurant. Won't recommend this tour at all..
Joyful day cruising, dancing Android swimming surrounded by an unspoiled landscape. Helpful guide Who tried her best to speak english with us.
Lovely views from the coast. Lunch was ok although the restaurant was overcrowded. Buzios is an amazing place to visit.
Viator would not give 100% refund, even though it rained. Supplier was willing, however, but couldn't without Viator doing so. Boat trip was a complete waste of time...another drinking party that you pay extra for. First stop was not far from the dock? Ride to/from was between 3-4 hours. Buyer beware!
Very bad since the boat have failed to have been waiting for the transfer of the bus to the center of Buzios in the morning more than 1 hour and at the end of the day more than 2 hours with rain and without any kind of support from the operator. The guide did what he could and I think he was already afraid that the 45 people would revolt!
Spectacular, super attentive, tidy schedules met them fully, Cami, the excellent guide 10/5 because they only have to rate up to 5 and I would put a 10
Very good tour despite the weather and very friendly Newton guide! The boat ride is for not Miss it as well as enter the calm sea of Buzios!
Buzios is a beautiful place. Shipping is good. We took the snorkeling experience but there were no conditions and we saw nothing, verbatim nothing. Lunch was bad and the place left much to be desired. The worst was the transport. The driver was driving like a maniac who was late somewhere. Finally when they could leave us closer to our hotel they left us in Lapa and It complicated our return. Some things to improve.
Amazing experience, super attentive agency, very lively guide, beautiful city of more! It is very worth it, they treated me super well!
All very beautiful. The tour team was very attentive to everyone. We swam in several places and the caipirinhas were very good
Excellent ride! I live up to my expectations. The boat ride a wonderful experience. And the bug ride, I loved it. Very happy with the tour.
The really good organization. Schedules are up. Above the caramaran a very good and pleasant wave is created between all passengers. Very well prepared caipirinhas. Lunch doesn’t have as much variety, but it really is a detail all over the rest.
Tight times. The very professional guide. It's suitable for group use. Driver drives very fast. Greater variety of food on the boat.
I went to several catamarans but I never had as good a time as in this the great people the big and cute boat very tidy super perfect, the only detail is that I would have liked to go down to the beach but as a tour it was perfect everything
Very good experience, I will recommend it, very attentive and organized guides, all on time and as they offer, security all well, value according.
Hello look I really didn't like the tour at all, I demand to get my money back as it's not what I expected. the tour guide super rude, he teased me, at lunch, or law firm charged me 200 reais for lunch that I didn't have to pay for I comment to the guide and the guide teases me saying "the Chilean has money that complains" I find a lack of respect that a tour a guide laughs in my face so I ask for the money back since I'm not at all happy with the tour
At first I bought the tour to Angra dos Reis, but due to the pandemic the city of Angra blocked the entry of tourists and C2Rio offered to replace the tour to Búzios. The trip was great, the transportation to Búzios was in a comfortable vehicle, the lunch was of quality, as well as the boat ride. The guide Priscilla Fonseca was an excellent professional, friendly, charismatic and very attentive to everyone. The only complaint I have is regarding the delay in reimbursing the excess amount I had paid for travel from Angra, as I had to contact C2Rio countless times until I got the money.
Very nice experience, had an amazing time. Priscylla the tour guide was a key point, spoke three languages throughout the tour, shared with us and made the trip much better!!!
Buzios is an extremely nice destination but going on a day trip is hardly recommended. It takes at least 3 hours by car, then I had my own driver who drove fast. Count between three and five hours per car journey. I just got back from there. Buzios should be enjoyed per walk, during the day you can walk between the different bays and up and down the mountains, it is close to food and drink everywhere In the evening you should stroll on the promenade in both directions from Brigitte Bardot's statue, she sits on the pavement. Eat in a good restaurant, like the one with her name. It is absolutely safe to go there as a tourist and that is extraordinary for South America. Bath water does not impress but clearly better than Copacabana and Ipanema
I have to emphasize that it is the Rio Tourism Enterprise of the best excellence since I went to four of them and only in this one I was well served. Units are small making small groups. The guide was trilingual and explains everything we saw along the way. The driver drove well, the boat trip too. The place of the cute food.
We love the trip to Búzios with DestiGo in the company of the guide Ana Cristina! Quiet and organized trip, with itinerary including boat tours, lunch and a time for shopping! Thank you, Ana Cristina, for providing us with such pleasant and fun moments!
The place is very nice and great attention from Newton, the guide, who was attentive at all times to any questions.
