It was OK, but not quite what I expected. The guide didn't speak English, she communicated with me via Google Translate on her phone. The driving from Rio de Janeiro to Arraial do Cabo was very long, almost 5 hours. You have to change two vehicles and walk quite long to get to the boat. The boat was fun and the views are amazing. However, we disembarked on two beaches and I didn't know that we would have to put life jackets on and enter a rubber boat. They didn't let me bring my purse, in which I had money, documents, my phone, my camera etc., so I couldn't go and I stayed on the boat. After that we had lunch included, but actually it was so late that it was more like dinner. The guide sent me to the restaurant with two other tourists, who also didn't know where it was, and we got lost. It took a lot of time and effort to find our way back. I almost missed the lunch and the ride back to my hotel. However, once I reached the restaurant the food was quite good and diverse. Eventually it ended well, but all in all, it was a rollercoaster. The positive side is that I really enjoyed sailing on the sea and took wonderful pictures, and the guys on the boat did their best to entertain us.

Enjoy the ride from Rio to Arraial do Cabo. Relax and enjoy the view.
You can only reach this beach by boat or by trekking. The turquoise blue water invites you for a swim.
It has been considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil. Only 250 people are allowed every 45 minutes. It is worth a visit.
See from a distance the beautiful Blue Grotto of Arraial do Cabo.
Depending on the time of day or the sun light, you may see shades of green or blue in the water. But it is always going to be calm and crystal clear. It is a great place for a swim.
Enjoy the ride from Arraial do Cabo back to Rio de Janeiro.

Reviews
perfect trip by Carioca tour and tour leader Monica. we enjoyed boat and beaches a lot! thanks a lot!
Ilha grande tour I was extremely disappointed to see how disorganised and environmental-UNfriendly this tour was. DO NOT waste your time and money on the Ilha Grande tour in Brazil, during which they will take you around the island to stop at a few beaches and snorkelling areas FULL of visitors with cans of beer at hand and throwing the last bit of their cigarettes in the ocean. No comments made at all by the staff. You will sail on a boat with extremely loud commercial music all the way, and stop to eat on a small beach with its own little mountain of plastic and garbage flying everywhere and in the ocean. The bus arrived late in the morning and dropped us off at 9.30pm instead of 7.30pm. Over all, we spent more time on the bus than out there sailing. This is really sad for the environment, especially Brazil which has such a wonderful biodiversity and open, wild spaces that people are slowly killing. I am fully aware that this is also an issue of behaviour and selfishness from tourists themselves, but touring companies have a responsibility in all of this as well to educate people about the environment they are taking them to, and make sure that basic requirements to respect nature are in place. The guides are nice and friendly, but we were truly appalled by the evident lack of consideration for the environment and will never look at their offers ever again.
The waters were beautiful but this long tour was way too short. Travelled 2.5 hours one way just to stop at the first beach for TWENTY minutes, and second beach for ONE hour, the THIRD "beach" or "stop" was a 15 minute jump in open water from the boat if you wanted to. Lunch was a very crowded and public buffet, all drinks and shrimp/food offered on the boat you paid for. I would definitely skip the "third stop" and spend more time on the beaches.
On a normal day maybe this is a good tour but we did it during the carnavale with no knowledge of how the festivities will affect the tour. The organisation was really bad. Though pick up was 7am, we were told to get to the location at 6:20am. We spent more than half of the day in a bus sat in traffic. When we realised we were still only an hour from Copacabana after 4 hours of driving, we asked the tour guide to turn back but her boss apparently didn't let her. We ended up spending over 6 hours in traffic and arrived at arrial do cabo super late. When we got there, the sun was about to set and it was getting dark. The tour guide asked us to pay extra for entry even though nothing of this was mentioned when we booked. We were so tired that most of us didn't get off the boat at the second beach stop and since it was already super dark we skipped the third stop on the itinerary altogether. We had "lunch" at about 8:30pm and got back to Rio at past midnight. The whole day gone and most of it spent sitting on a bus Waste of time, waste of money. Two things you don't want to waste on holiday.
Firstly, shoutout to the tour guide - Monica. She was being very accommodative and understanding towards everyone during this trip from the toilet break up until we are on the boat. No one was left behind. The journey was properly planned and everything went smoothly. Pick up - 1 hour ride - toilet break - another 1 hour - arrived at the jetty - took the boat and did the tour. The experience was amazing especially when the crowd is so joyful. The boat has a minibar where everyone can purchase drinks and food. Reasonable amount of time was allocated to each stop. It was a good trip!
Professional Guide! Timely managed trip if 14 hours and most importantly food was awesome in Arraial do cabo
We were on 1/02/26 Teresa the coordinator a genius.!! All on time. Recommended !! . The boat ride very good, lunch at home gives excellent stone.
From Rio not recommended, lots of traffic jams so you are in a fairly uncomfortable van for a long time. Also opted for an English guide who turned out not to speak English. We were the only foreign speakers this day so everything was in Portuguese. I don't know what we've all seen. On the boat there was loud music, a lot of drinking and we seemed to be on a party boat. Lunch was finally only at 5.30pm. Stops and islets were beautiful so worth it. Take into account a day trip of 4pm.
We only liked the beach of Atalaia, did not have the boat ride, so our expectations were frustrated, the navy did not release the pass.
Our experience with Rio Carioca was not the best. We bought the tour to Arraial do Cabo on the day 07/11. Our guide was wonderful, organized everything right and the barbo walk was also very good. What happens is that the Enterprise wants to save on transportation to Arraial do Cabo and put a minibus that was not there big things for us to take. Afterwards, we arrived around 5:00 p.m. in the parking lot to return to Copacabana and to our surprise the bus was not there. We waited for a long time standing, about an hour waiting, being wet and cold until the bus arrived. I believe they have companies who think better about logistics and hire better means of transportation and who are on the spot at the time of departure. It may be a strategy of companies to save a little, since the boarding/drop point charges to stay there. That said, I think it's better to look for another Enterprise.
Worth it for those who never did, the place is really out of the curve in terms of beauty, with stunning beaches and an amazing sea. However, it is not a walk that we would do again. The beaches are extremely crowded, without much quiet, and the journey is very tiring: the transit between Búzios and the place of embarkation is time-consuming, the logistics is complicated, and we ended up having lunch almost at 5:00. We got back to the hotel in the evening, with the feeling of having lost the whole day on the tour.
We would like to record our dissatisfaction with the service contracted for the tour of Arraial do Cabo. We purchased the tour in advance, made the payment and received the contract, with the guarantee that there was availability. The seller assured us that everything was in accordance and that there would be no problems. However, around 19:00 we were informed that there was an error and that there was no more space available for the tour. This last-minute notice made it impossible for us to contract another tour with other agencies, given the schedule. In addition, at the time we made the payment, there was the vacancy confirmation, which makes the situation even more frustrating. We understand that the agency should take responsibility for the occurrence, as the sale was carried out based on the promised availability. we will be considering filing a formal complaint for the disturbances caused, since we trust the service offered and guaranteed by contract.
Estar en Rio de Janeiro y no visitar Arraial es una pena. Como dicen: el Caribe brasileño. Un paseo excepcional. Recomendable.
All wonderful excursion, except for the return trip since a tire was punctured and the agency does not have anything emergency and the passengers had to change it.
Visiting the beaches is worth the trip, but it's not very easy to enjoy spending 20 minutes at each one, taking a boat there and back to the shore. Furthermore, lunch is a huge disaster... It's in a very popular restaurant, where we sit with strangers and there's endless shouting, a desperation to accommodate everyone - and it's totally overpriced... There wasn't even a knife at hand. disposition. We arrived at 5pm for lunch, having to leave at 6pm!!! That part was pretty unhealthy. The guide was also not very friendly, being quite rude at several times. It felt like he was doing us a favor, being that the experience was well paid for what it is. The boat staff, Jagau, was quite pleasant. In general, it's really only worth it to visit Arraial do Cabo.
Very good experience you see several beaches and the guides speak in Spanish, have music on the boat and look for you at the pickle point closest to your hotel
The tour starts first thing in the morning, they leave looking for people from leblon to the center, here it was quite disorganized by the agency.Every time they go to look for a group, they were warned at the same time and you have to wait between 5 to 10 minutes for each person, you should warn in advance (10 minutes before passing) the person to be ready as soon as the bus arrives. For this specific case, the last group took 30 minutes to get off and delayed the whole trip, it was 5 hours out (7:30 until 12:30 in arraial do cabo), in personal opinion, should not wait for people who delay the others, but well .. already on the boat, it is a very good experience, two descents on different beaches, I recommend going when the day is nice, the sailors (most Argentine) very friendly and motivated the whole group, which makes the trip have a hard time. It ends 5 p.m. in a buffet restaurant, and at 6 p.m. back to the river, where they spend first leaving the people of Leblon (3 hours back). As a recommendation, if you are couples or group of young friends, I would take the tour, otherwise I would rent a car by river (20 reais) and get directly to arraial do cabo (place on google maps: Boat Pass em Arraial do Cabo - Tubarão Rio) where you can hire the same boat tour for 50 reais.
Very good walk, contact with nature. Great organization of the event. I would recommend this tour to acquaintances.
I really liked the transfer, found it punctual. Very well received by the guide. The boat ride was very good, with excellent reception and crew. And the lunch is of excellent quality and well organized.
Arraial seems to have come out of a movie! The people are very receptive, the whole tour was very lively I could swim with the fish and see some turtles. the buffet food was good and despite the queue walked very fast. my family loved the walk! we intend to come back more often. All the professionals involved in the tours were very attentive!!
Excellent! Highly recommended !! We came from Chile, we found the agency consulting in the city and the experience very good. They took some amazing pictures 😍
I would like to congratulate the entire team of Rio Carioca Tur for the beautiful experience I had with the trip. I was treated suuuuper well and the staff mto helpful. Exceptional guides. The beaches, the walk and the city are too beautiful. I recommend everyone on the platform for this unforgettable and wonderful trip. Oh the kind of thing you'll never forget in your life.
Tour note a thousand with a super organized team, worried about the well-being of the group since the purchase of the tour, comfortable vehicle, careful driver, attentive guide and very lively boat staff. Punctuals on schedule. Super recommend!!!
