The aquarium is fantastic. There are lots of activities for kids. We enjoyed the tour. Our guide was Marco and he shared a lot of local history and information as we drove to/from the aquarium. We added on the Ferris wheel ride at his suggestion and the view was great.

Itinerary
During the tour, we can take pictures (no flash, please) in areas such as the Recinto Oceânico e de Mergulho (Oceanic and Diving Enclosure), the largest tank in the Aquarium holding up to 3.3 million liters of water and seven meters in depth. At the same time, we learn a little bit more about aquamarine life and the impact of our actions in their ecosystem. Close to the end of the tour, we pass underneath a tunnel and see the underwater above us, which gives a unique feeling.
Created for the 2016 Olympic Games, the Olympic Boulevard has attracted the attention of grafitti artists around the globe. Stroll around to see the biggest grafitti in the world: the Mural das Etnias by Kobra.

The tour guide Marco was super, a really nice guy and he was so helpful. He organised tickets for us to go on the Yup Star too. The aquarium had lots of displays and it was really interesting.
My family and I had the pleasure of having Monica as our tour guide. Monica was amazing. She was full of knowledge and very personable. The tour itself was great and lasted about 6 hours. It commensed at AquaRio and ended at the Real Gabinete Português de Leitura with other great exhibits in between such as the Musuem of Tommorow and Mosteiro de São Bento 100% recommend this experience when in Rio!
Meilin was my tour guide, only for me, she was fantastic. I needed a carioca by my side to feel safer. A great experience to ask her a lot of questions about Rio. She explain me everything, from the origin of favela, the samba factory, the idea of the museum, experience of the city during Olympics and future projects at the port area. AquaRio is nice to see it, also have other attractions for kids. I love the big aquarium with sharks and coral reef. The biggest graffiti Mural das Etnias is fading away and some trees are grown in front. Museum of Tomorrow seems like others of Calatrava, I decided not to enter. I was lucky to see the tree that inspired the name of Brazil. The only thing is that you need to walk so much under the sun, bring water, hat and sunscreen.
This is not a review. I just want to say how wonderful our Tour Guide was. One of the best we have ever had.
The aquarium in Rio de Janeiro is four-five times better than Monterey aquarium in San Francisco. There are sharks, sting rays, you walk through a tunnel with sharks above your head, if that's not enough of a high you need to swim with the sharks. Our tour guide was bilingual, so me and my girlfriend knew everything, no one was left out. Like any zoo, or aquarium the prices on food and beverages were high, but you can justify it knowing they have to keep maintenance, and a habitat suitable for the aquatic life.
My visit to the aquarium in Rio de Janeiro was an incredible experience. I loved the variety of marine species I could see, from colorful fish to sharks and rays. There was also an impressive collection of algae, conchs and other marine invertebrates. The atmosphere is impressive and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I learned a lot about marine life and felt like I was at the bottom of the sea, and the place has a restaurant for lunch and areas to buy drinks and snacks. Recommended!
For what you offer there, and also read on the net, it is a bitter disappointment. The entrance fee for 2 perons is already 320 real, which is usury. Even if it is just under €50 in euros, what is offered there is just not as nice as it is written. There I know other cities (Toronto) where the Aqua Rio is far behind and also offers more than in the Aqua Rio. Not worth the money. Not only was there not even a plant to be found in the aquariums, many tanks were taped with pictures, and the tunnel, I beg you, is mini. The light was too dark in many places, and a roaring teacher with a microphone also ran away with 20 children, not very pleasant. The cymbals are way too small for me. Many corners had no basin at all, but there were only walls with pictures. What this has to do with an aquarium is not really obvious to me. Many fish species were not visible at all. You have to go up in an elevator, which made us stucco. Aquariums are actually downstairs. Not a single plant was found in the parts. Whether this is species-appropriate is arguable. The Aqua Rio is not impressive. Others give away more, for much less money. No, not recommended, just a waste of money.
One day of knowledge, fish species that you don't see in Colombia I came to meet in Rio de Janeiro, to take the children is ideal
Very good aquarium. Not so the "Sea of Mirrors": expensive and also do not allow to take photos in the last room, which is the most interesting, and on top of that they charge apart those photos.
The bad thing is the price, as it is quite expensive for a tour that can be done in half an hour. In addition to this the other attractions are paid separately. It is a place to go with the children as they quite enjoy the place and there are some people who tell about the species they have in the aquarium. The place is pretty nice. I recommend going early so that you can take pictures without so many people in the tunnel, which is the best thing about the aquarium.
Very interactive the visit, I really enjoyed sharing with people of other nationalities and know the culture of Brazil very good the tour
Best in the world Naomi Caipirinha free with it The best location in the world! The best with her! Thanks for everything!!!!
I liked it too much, especially the Guide Meilin, who in addition to the tour of the aquarium, provided us with a true lesson of history in a city tour of the area of Plaza Mauá, gave a tip of a wonderful ice cream shop
Hermoso lugar en Rio de Janeiro para conocer. Muy bien ambientado y muy interesante. Un destino para realizar en dias de lluvia y conocer una zona revalorizando de Rio!
Excellent tour to get to know Rio de Janeiro. The aquarium is excellent. Very good care. We then took a walking tour of some historical sites. Lots of information, clear and precise.
Spectacular, fun, comfortable and very good facilities, the only sad thing is that the "Chicago" wheel is under maintenance. It's a safe place, right there
GENTLEMEN, I PURCHASED THE FAMILY PACK AND I DID NOT RECEIVE THE PURCHASE VOUCHER, ONLY THE CONFIRMATION I REQUEST YOU TO CONTACT
A wonder not to miss it, a large pond with varied marine fauna. If you travel by cruise is a step from the port
Must-see in the visit to Rio.Very well sized the tour to see all kinds of fish including sharks and manta rays.
We were a rainy day as an option for the child and enjoyed it very much, Highly recommended. The hotel guys helped us locate taxi and beforehand know how much would come out and have no surprises.
Note 1000! No words, just it was magnificent! I will definitely be back with the family next time.
It's a top-notch place, recently built. Great variety of truly amazing marine species and giant aquariums. They also have a very interesting module on education and environmental awareness. I recommend taking advantage of the walk along the boulevard to the Museum of Tomorrow.
Today we went on an adventure... I didn’t expect it to be so beautiful and entertaining, still surprised by the Aqua-Rio, a huge number of marine species, is. a must if you visit this city. It cost me 70 reais taking advantage of a promotion from Banco Santander...once purchased.la.entry, do not forget to bring your meat and a card from the.bank because they will check if you are a customer...you still save yourself...the.price is $110 reais Uber me.cost$ 25 reais one way and taxi 35 reais.
Very cool. Beautiful and pleasant. A space in the central area of Rio that was exploited and revitalized. It offers many interesting educational activities and exhibitions as well. I did not use the transport, as I was in my own car. I loved it.
It is a large aquarium, where there is a wide variety of fish, there are passageways where you can see the fish as if you were inside the water and take pictures.
I expected more, but it is a good option for the family and especially for those who have a child. A healthy walk where you can observe marine species and even sharks. It has a very cool tunnel but it is impossible to get a picture, it's a lot of people...The Aquario is not expensive, it has a store and nothing cheap. But you have the photo option with setting and very good service. Certainly a new option for visits.
I think it's a really nice ride. Very enjoyable if you have time in river. The aquarium is small. The most impressive thing was the pond with the shark. Very organized and neat. I think the price is a bit steep.
It's a very different equipment, full of attractions. It's not cheap, but it's very beautiful and organized. There is facility to arrive and leave, own parking (paid), snack bars and souvenir shop. It's not a cheap ride, but it's worth the aesthetics. I recommend leaving for lunch in the foodtrucks near the Museum of Tomorrow. There are good sandwiches, good and practical meals.
Finally, Rio has a first-world place. Amazing tour to take the kids. For those who have family it is very worth c9mprar the annual pass and escape the shopping. Offers advantages such as not facing queues
Very good Aquarius! There is no need to include transportation on this tour. You can take metro and VLT, you will spend R$80.00 entrance (full), R$3,80 VLT and R$4,50 meter, consider going and going! In the aquarium the critic is on account of the insistent warnings not to use flash instead of informing about the object of the aquarium, because if you start reading, the warning cuts and stays there for a while on the screen. Now, since you need such a warning, fix a plaque in each Mood and try to confiscate the equipment of the reticents and apply a fine! So resolve with this poorly polite people!!!
