Friendly guider, speaking English, with attention with his group. Very nice 🥰 I hardly recommend it, it worth it!

Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro is simply the icon of the city and all of Brazil. It is the third largest statue in the world, one of the new seven wonders of the world, it was declared a World Heritage Site along with the rest of the Rio landscape and is considered a legendary and mythical monument on a planetary level. The statue of Christ the Redeemer, the "great statue of Rio de Janeiro", the "Christ of Rio de Janeiro" that majestically dominates the 710 meters high summit of Corcovado (the mountain symbol of Rio de Janeiro), is one of the largest tourist attractions attractions from all over Brazil. Corcovado is one of the hills of the city of Rio de Janeiro, famous in Brazil and in the world for its 38 meters high statue of Christ the Redeemer. Escadaria Selarón is an architectural work from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, decorated by Chilean artist Jorge Selarón who called it "my tribute to the Brazilian people". Located in the heart of the lively neighborhood of Lapa, a dilapidated red light district that is slowly becoming the center of Rio's nightlife, remaining dangerous in many areas, the staircase is set between colorful buildings in perfect style. 215 steps covered in majolica, hundreds of small colored tiles.

I wanted to see and do it all. This package made it possible. I saw things I’ve always wanted to see (Christ the Redeemer), I saw things I’ve never heard of (SugarLoaf Mountain), and I saw things for the first time (Selaron Steps), and then more….fantastic! The tour was informative and the guide gave you time and space to explore.
Everything is taken care of. Able to skip a lot of long lines. 3 important highlights and knowledgeable guide.
I wanted to give this 2 stars but we did get make it to all of the destinations eventually. Anyways, our tour bus was 2 hours late and their excuse was because they were having difficulty adding someone in a wheelchair on the bus. For one, the listing clearly says "Not wheelchair accessible" and two, NO ONE was in a wheelchair when they finally did arrive. It was a lie. Our meeting point was near the Selaron steps which we did not know until our tour guide told us to go take some photos and be back in 10min while he finds some other guests. If we would've known that, we would've been over there but at this time, you couldn't even see the steps. Way too many people by then! Plus the whole point of a tour guide is to talk about the destination, monument etc but that didn't happen. We finally end up leaving 2.5 hours after the scheduled meetup time and we notice the tour guide STILL is not saying anything. We basically had a driver and not really an informative guide. He actually didn't start talking until maybe 5-6 hours into the tour towards the end We also started to notice that people started to trickle off of the tour because it was just THAT unorganized PLUS we noticed he was appearing and disappearing. Apparently we had a bus of other people behind us and the tour guide was hopping back and forth between buses! When he finally did start talking about destinations, it was in Portuguese. He barely acknowledged my friend and I who had clearly confirmed and asked for an English guide. Sometimes he would blend English in there but it was 95% Portuguese. We also ended up being late for the lunch buffet and literally got there at closing. They were nice enough to let us in but at that same time, it wouldn't have been a smart move to shut off consistent business with the touring company so I didn't really feel any gratitude towards it. Also, I'm not sure if this is on Viator or the company but it allows you to add in dietary restrictions and I added my friend was vegan. There was barely anything for my friend to eat at this buffet. I told the company and they stated that they don't accommodate dietary restrictions. Then WHY is there a box that says to fill in any dietary accommodations?? Overall it was highly unorganized from the start and we didn't really receive any historic dialogue on anything but we did make it to each destination.
Great day. Got to see Christ the Redeemer and Sugar loaf mountain. Tour would have been better if it was a single language group, if doable
1 Day in Rio is the best you can do if you will stay a short period of time. Best guide and driver. They were very helpful and informative.
We had a great experience even though the weather not good at Christ the Redeemer. Great Guide, great lunch, great day.
Hi, everything was fine, the guide: Monica Francesca knows exactly what she was doing, very organized and very well structurated, full of energy! And gave us a nice recomendation after the tour, she really took care of all details required for a excelent service! Thanks
The tour did well at getting us to the major attractions as promised. It did start a little late so Christ the Redeemer was very crowded by the time we arrived. Our guide was friendly but said his English was poor. He gave us information as to where and when we were to meet, but few facts of local color or history. He spoke Spanish and Portuguese throughout the tour so others may have enjoyed this additional information. We were satisfied with where we went but would have liked to know more.
Great tour. Saw the sites of Rio. Christ the Redeemer was awesome. Good view of the landscape from Sugarloaf Mountain
This tour enabled me and my wife to visit two attractions that we always to see… Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain. We enjoyed the included lunch buffet
The tour was basically as described - we stopped at every place mentioned. However it did not live up to the "no queue guarantee" and we had to wait for the guide to buy tickets and then line up in several places. We received some information about the city but the guide was just reading it out and we could have just used Wikipedia for such impersonal info. The guide seemed bored by having to give us info. The lunch was at the very end of the day (4:30pm) and we were starving by then. The guide really hyped up the lunch, however it was at a terrible cheap buffet and we were honestly too worried about food poisoning to eat more than a few bites.
The tour was great with all the sites to see as per the itinerary though the guide was not good. He was unclear in the timings and had 4-5 languages to deal with in the same group which did not allow us to understand the history and information on the sites.
Amazing! The weather was not our friend but our tour guide, Monica B, did an amazing job to make the most out of it :) I would recommend this tour!
Good experience. The guide took extra time to help other and explanations. The sugar loaf was unique and christ redeemer wonderful
The crowds and the traffic were out of control! Way too busy and the lunch spot was The Grill Inn was a buffet and the tour leader got a discount or kick back! 8 hours was a long time to be on a bus!
The was a great tour! All the major attractions covered . The tour guide was a great and friendly. His knowledgeable city history and funny personality made our tour more exiting and memorable .
Great tour guide, who was punctual and super nice and helpful. Great itinerary - would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to see around the city and go to the major spots.
Good day tour, but not enough time to enjoy. The tour ends so early, but visiting sites are only two with a short time. I think it would be better to change the whole literary.
This tour was amazing , the views were great, a dream came true. Richard the tour guide was so knowledgeable of the history of the city and very professional service. Thank you
We really enjoyed the full day tour! Our guide was great - she kept us on schedule ensuring we were able to visit all the sites. The weather was challenging that day and she adjusted the schedule throughout the day. And she did all this in Portuguese, Spanish and English. We had a great time. Thanks
Really great tour, our guide was always on hand to answer any questions we had. Such a great way to see the city all in one day, we visited all the top sights and it was simple to get into each of them with our tour guide. The lunch that was included was a buffet at a local restaurant which was incredible.
Very fun and informative. Our tour guide Anderson did a really good job in explaining everything. Felt safe at all time. Thank you.
Very disappointing. The tour was advertised as English language, but was almost entirely in Portuguese, with a little translated into Spanish for two Spanish speakers in the group. The buffet lunch was below par. A number of different tour operators were using the same restaurant, and as a result it was very busy, with each person on the tour left to find a seat wherever they could. I picked this tour because of all the positive reviews I read, but even if I spoke Portuguese this tour would have been 3/5 at best.
Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf. Good tour but terrible communication on pick up , overbooked so had to wait for second vehicle. Shame but good guide!
Fantastic tour, lots of information about this beautiful city. The tour guide Marcio was great, took his time, and made sure we were hydrated and safe. Highly recommend, a tour of a lifetime in a wonderful city. All thumbs up!
The tour started with a bit of delay but we got back on schedule easily. The tour guide was nice and easy going. It was a good day!
Visiting the top spots in Rio is awesome. Our guide Marcio made it fun and light with tons of information and useful tips and hints about the most beautiful city tucked in between the mountains. All stops were great, lunch was awesome and the day flew by. Thanks again. Highly enjoyed and definitely recommend!
The event was perfect for seeing as many of the important spots as possible in a short space of time. Can recommend it to others.
Exceptional experience with 'One Day in Rio'! Breathtaking sights, knowledgeable guide, and seamless organization. A must-do for anyone visiting Rio. 5 stars!
The booking process was easy & I was kept informed ffabout possible delays. My guide Anderson was AWESOME!!!! I have a knee injury & he was not only very helpful, but very patient & attentive. I’m keeping the details & recommending it to all my friends & family. Thank you !!!
The tour was very thorough and the guides kept us on-track to see all the famous sights in Rio de Janeiro. Lunch was an added bonus to the day.
The tour guide Macio picked us up on time in a clean air conditioned tour bus. It was a cloudy day and he adjusted the schedule to give us the best possible view from the Christ the Redeemer statue. He was animated and informative, he interacted with everyone on the tour bus. I was impressed that he was able to communicate in at least 3 different languages. I would recommend this tour to everyone
Very interesting tour with useful information and a great guide Anderson, highly appreciated and recommended!
The Escadaria Selaron was amazing to see the artist's work and dedication to his craft. The view from Christ the Redeemer is worth the time, effort and crowds. Our tour guide was a true Papa, keeping us safe and on time.
Had a fantastic time throughout, smooth journey, attentive host and met some new friends. Highly recommend!
Anderson was great! Day went by smoothly, nice to meet other people from all over. Would book again!
Great tour. Got to see the highlights of Rio. Marcio, our guide, was informative and made sure the group stayed together. Only thing I would have liked is if we had more time to get souvenirs/food. Although we had plenty of time at the sites, more time for souvenirs would have been great. Marcio, did give us a few mins to finish up though, which was good.
It was supposed yo be English guided your It wasn't. The guide had difficulty explaining things. The group was mostly English speaking, we didn't get any explanation about the tour. Viator needs to work on English speaking guides . Thanks
Wow, we got to see a lot in one day. This tour was great. Everything went smoothly, our guide (I can’t remember his name) was great, he took pictures of us and was very informative. I recommend this tour.
Our guide spoke basic English, but at times I don't think she quite understood our questions. She gave very little information about the sites or even instructions on where to go/what we were doing and just generally seemed disinterested the entire time. We only had 25 minutes at Christ the Redeemer to fight through the crowds up the stairs, take our pictures, enjoy the view, and push our way back down and felt rushed the entire time. We thought she was going to leave us at Sugarloaf Mountain, as she kept mentioning we could stay longer and make our own way back, and kept disappearing and inching closer to the exit. She barely said goodbye as she left the van at the end. All in all, a very disappointing and awkward experience with the guide. We did, however, get to see all the big sites of Rio in 1 day, which was a plus. The lunch buffet was way better than we expected. And pickup/dropoff was on time at our hostel and much appreciated. The van was very spacious and comfortable. Could be a great experience with a different guide.
Very good. Timely, the local guide is good. The trip was safe, very lively and covered all the main tourist points.
Pick up on time, professional tour guides, excellent service. We have really enjoyed the guide in many languages, enough time to explore, flexible approach and friendly staff.
Team was polite and friendly, best experience! obs: Unless the van was really hot, but if you Try to fix the Air conditioning next time it will be great after that everything was cool, tourist guy was amazing explaining pretty well in Spanish and English as well.. Obrigado!
