We had a great experience exploring Tijuca Forest! Our tour guide, Silva, was wonderful. He was very patient, friendly, and knowledgeable, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire tour. He was also very helpful and made the experience enjoyable for our whole family. We truly appreciated his kindness and professionalism and would definitely recommend him.

Wonderful views of the mountains and forests covering them. Good leaf covered forest tracks allowed our three year old to enjoy our short hike on the rainforest floor even after some rain.
Tamara is the best tour guide so far in Brazil. Very personal, informative and friendly, thank you!!
It’s really a chilled trip with lots of beautiful sights to see. View points are amazing for photos. If you go in the afternoon it can become chilly towards the end of the day so maybe worth bringing a top or trousers for after. You can also do some swimming so maybe bring some swim suits/shorts. Your guide Tamara was warm hearted person really friendly and bubbly and made sure everyone felt comfortable a pleasure to spend the trip with.
Superb experience! Our guide, Silva, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He explained every attraction clearly in both English and Spanish (for the Spanish-speaking members of our group), making it easy for everyone to follow. We also enjoyed chatting with him throughout the trip. Silva was always punctual and provided clear, helpful recommendations. He was very caring, flexible, and made sure everyone had a great experience. The highlight of the tour was reaching the Chinese View (Vista Chinesa), where we enjoyed a breathtaking panoramic view. It was absolutely stunning, especially on a sunny day. I also recommend bringing a light jacket or an extra layer, as the jeep ride can get quite windy. Highly recommended!
Good experience, excellent customer service! Our guide very very knowledgeable. Our guide was a man named Silva.
Great experience. Silva, our guide, what a great guy. Super knowledgeable and passionate about Rio and its natural beauty. Great trip.
The guide was awesome. It was a very informative tour and I really enjoyed the experience. I loved seeing the anaconda.
The jeep ride was fun and much better than sitting in a car or van. The stops in the jungle were great, especially the waterfall and the trail hike. The guide was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend!
It was an overall good experience, my hostel was not in the pick up area so I had to go to the garage where the car was parked and meet the guide there. We passed through the main points in the Tijuca National park, it was an okay experience, don't expect much other than see nature , forests and some views as well as a waterfall area where you could possibly swim if you want to.
A very good tour for anyone wanting to experience a bit if the rainforests but no time to travel far. This a good experience. The guide is thorough and kept everyone entertained.
Our Jeep tour through the Tijuca Forest with Silva was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, Silva was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience so much fun. He shared fascinating facts about the forest’s history, wildlife, and hidden gems, and his passion for the area really showed. The ride was smooth, the views were breathtaking, and we felt completely safe the entire time. If you’re visiting Rio and want an unforgettable adventure, I can’t recommend Silva enough — this tour was the highlight of our trip!
Very enjoyable, but cut short by heavy rain( I know, rain in a rainforest!!). Good fun and very informative. Grreeeaattt
Guide canceled the tour 30min before meeting in the morning due to sickness. Can‘t say anything about the tour.
I really appreciate this solo tour with Alex. While driving with his cabrio car in the touristic points he was always giving me explanations I needed. I recommend it to who‘s looking for a quieter/private tour in the nature and real Brazilian culture and less crowded places!
Absolutely terrible. I tried to get a hold of him the night prior and the morning of multiple times to confirm a pick up as we had to do with all other tours, was not able to get any response. Finally got ahold of him 30 minutes after 8 where he never apologizes or acknowledged the miscommunication just that what’s the problem you want to go or not. He takes you in his crappy car. On his way to first stop he stops for coffee and breakfast for himself on our time. We get to first spot you can’t see a thing bc of weather. This tour should not be allowed to be put on if weather is poor as he cannot deliver the service promised. He then proceeds to say usually in rain we can take you to aquarium or museum but you have to pay extra for entry. I can do that myself thanks. We just ended up having him drop us off in town so we could do our own thing because it was a complete joke and waste of money. Do not recommend!
We had a private tour to ourselves the day we took this trip. Our guide was very informative giving lots of background about Rio's history and the national park. It was clear that he cared deeply about Rio and the natural beauty there. Unfortunately one of the key roads was closed the day we visited. A special effort was made to make sure we still saw the Chinese view (it was empty, as clearly other tour guides were not making the same effort). However, we missed out on the waterfalls, and when finishing he suggested we end the tour at the first beach and walk across the Ipanema. This turned out to be a lovely walk, but meant the tour lasted only 2.5 hours and some of the mentioned attractions were missed (not all due to the road closure). This was slightly disappointing, and we would have liked to see an effort made to view other attractions, or some kind of reimbursement for a tour of just over half the advertised length.
He was extremely knowledgeable and gave my husband and I an unforgettable tour. There are so many gems in Rio. Our guide showed us so many beautiful sights. We definitely recommend his tour!!!
We had a great tour with Evandro in the Tijuca national park. Not the normal tour you can get everywhere. We did some special hiking and climbing and came to some very beautiful spots, including several waterfalls. After this we were driving to the Chinese view and another historical spot where you had a fantastic view over Rio. Evandro is very friendly and fluent in English. Highly recommended, because of small groups and individuality! Thank you very much, Evandro. We will sure come back!
I had pravite tour because that day I was the only one tourist booked the tour. The gIde showed me 4 hower Tijuca park Chinese View etc. He was very kind. Explained me a lot of abaut Rio, people of Rio, how they protect nature and are invaremently friendly. I enjoyed the tour.
It was very nice to drive around Rio de Janeiro. The forest is, in fact, a place worth visiting. My wife, even while pregnant, didn't feel any difficulties on the outing. I recommend to everyone who is coming to Rio.
Great experience, very friendly guide who explained lots of things to us about the biodiversity in the Tijuca forest, we were able to see several beautiful viewpoints as well as monkeys.
Very beautiful nature, The guide was very cool and explained everything you need/want to know Travelling in his car is also a lot of fun
The national park is worth a visit. We left the hotel very early and took the metro to Jardim Tijuca, then took the bus 301 up to the national park. You must have experienced. We thought the bus would fall apart at any moment, so we were shaken up, but we got to the top in one piece. The national park has various entrances and is available free of charge. It is wonderful to see that everything is really left natural here, and you get the impression of being in the Brazilian Amazon. The variety of plants, as well as the size of some plants just beautiful to look at. The coolness under the trees also contributes to the fact that you are very nicely sealed off in the heat. What we didn't like so much was that cars are allowed to drive around the park, even taxis have driven up to the top, not nice, for the environment. Instead, you should offer electric bikes for rent at the entrances, so that the "lazy" can also make it upstairs. There's no need to drive a car around, even the jeeps. You have feet, and with the trolleys you just drive past things that are really exciting and beautiful to look at. The falls are great, and we found all five. There are certain routes, but on the entrance notes, it is indicated to stay only on the path (red line). We really spent the whole day there, so beautiful it is there. Yes, of course the roads and paths are not the best here anymore, but it is just left natural. Even the old chapel has seen better days, like some other viewpoints, but it is nature, and should be left that way. The views (there are a lot of viewpoints) from above are spectacular because we had great solar weather so we could look far away when we reached the top. So far the park is very clean, many animals can be observed there, including snakes and really beautiful butterflies. As already mentioned, the plant life is breathtaking, as you feel like you are in the jungle. The waterfalls are nestled in fields and greenery, wonderful. Back we walked from the national park to Jardim Tijuca. In total it was about 27 km, is fun and you get much more out of it than just sitting lazily in the car. Since it is also available free of charge to the population, we were very surprised how clean it was there nevertheless, overall a very nice excursion.
Interesting tour through a beautiful flora and fauna. Lots of detail information by the best guide in Rio.
The Tijuca Forest National Park is the best we have in Rio de Janeiro, we have a huge forest surrounded by beautiful waterfalls
C’est une expérience vraiment incroyable , le guide nous a bien tout expliqué dans les moindres détails sur tous les endroits visités je recommande fortement ! 💚
Top Tour. The tour guide Silva was super friendly and made us a good tour with several stops. The jeep was also very good!
