This might be my favorite hideaway on earth. This year I scheduled one week, solo, to just do running and writing. Although they offer plenty of adventures, I was happy just going for a morning run on one of the many trails, then dipping in one of the river pools, then relaxing in the afternoon. Food and restaurants are good. Service was great. I can't wait for next year.
I am a travel advisor and just returned from a trip to Costa Rica to experience the destination along with other travel advisors. During our trip, we had a great stay at Hacienda Guachipelín and the staff was very welcoming. The food was excellent and we enjoyed every meal. The activity choices offer an authentic Costa Rican experience surrounded by nature. We all did the tubing on the 25 rapids and it was fun although a bit of a challenge for me personally but one of the many guides tubing the rapids with us was kind enough to sense my apprehension and offered to assist me on the bigger rapids which he did which helped me tremendously so shoutout to him! The rooms are comfortable and it's easy to get around the property grounds. It is a great resort for families, singles or couples, young and old. Hacienda Guachipelín checks all the boxes and I will definitely recommend this resort when planning trips to this beautiful country!
Wow!!!!!!! My wife and I just spent two days at the hotel and had our minds blown at how incredible it is! It sits in the shadow of an old volcano, and the property is absolutely beautiful. The restaurant is excellent, and if you have Jose for a server, you’re in for a treat. I had the beef soup (traditional) one night and the lengua the next, and it may have been the best I’ve ever had. Breakfast was equally incredible. 10 out of 10! The hotel maintains miles, and miles of beautiful trail, excellent amenities at Hot Springs, multiple waterfalls, and has an excellent relationship with the national park. I would recommend this place to anybody, and if we ever get back here, we are coming back to this hotel.
I did not stay at the hotel, but I did do all the adventures and it was so much fun. The staff was courteous and professional. I even fell after getting off the last zipline (my fault) and they were so caring and helpful. They made sure I was okay. All the activities were so much fun and I highly recommend them.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hacienda Guachipelín. The property offers so much to do, and we especially loved how easy it was to take the shuttle to the waterfall areas and explore the self-guided hiking trails at our own pace. We stayed two days but could have easily stayed another day or two to enjoy the more adventurous activities. The food options were excellent and we really enjoyed the included breakfast. The rooms were spotless and the beds very comfortable. The highlight of the trip was definitely the thermal baths. We spent a relaxing afternoon there and it ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our stay in Costa Rica.
