Great stay in Rimini – amazing staff and spotless environment Our stay at Hotel Sporting in Rimini was a truly wonderful experience, and I would especially like to highlight the exceptional staff. Absolute praise goes to every single receptionist across all shifts. They were incredibly willing, helpful, and attentive whenever we needed assistance—whether during check-in, resolving an issue with lost property, or handling parking. From the very first moment, we felt we were in great hands. As for the hotel itself, it feels very modern, new, and spotless. The housekeeping staff did a flawless job; everything was impeccably clean. Breakfast, which was included in our package, was tasty and enjoyable. We really appreciated that while the core selection remained stable, the staff made an effort to refresh it daily with new details and small variations, which was a lovely touch. I can wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Sporting to anyone looking for excellent service, cleanliness, and genuinely warm, professional hospitality!

The hotel is very clean and modern. Wonderful rooms and food. We got a room with a beach view on the 7th floor (last floor) And the view is amazing!! It does have some downsides: 1 The wifi barely worked. My phone kept switching to mobile data. 2nd: they only have 3 rows kf beach seats that are also in the back.
Didn’t stay here but dropped into the pool bar on the way back to our hotel after dinner for a cocktail. Live music was playing and the drinks were great. I think we might stay at this hotel when we come here next time cos the rooms look great for the price 😁👍
We stayed at Hotel Sporting Club from May 21–24 to celebrate two important family birthdays. This hotel holds special memories for us, as it was where my family used to spend holidays when I was a child. I mentioned this when making the reservation, hoping to revisit those memories with my own children. The hotel has many strengths. The building has been renovated, the location is excellent, just steps from the beach, and the swimming pool area is attractive. Most of the reception staff and the restaurant waiters were professional, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, several aspects of the experience were disappointing. First, the renovated rooms (top floors with seaview) are very small. We booked three rooms. One was reserved for two adults and two young children, as clearly stated in the booking, yet it contained only a double bed and a single bed. We had to move one child to another room. None of the three rooms offered meaningful luggage space, and storage was extremely limited. Second, the room amenities were basic for a 4-star hotel. There was no coffee machine, no hair conditioner, and no body lotion. Future guests may want to bring their own toiletries and coffee. The biggest issue was the swimming pool. When booking, I explained that we were travelling with two young children and asked whether the pool would be open. I was told that if the weather was warm enough, it would open. Two days before arrival, the hotel confirmed by email that the pool would open on Friday, the day after we checked in. Upon arrival, however, the reception manager told us it would not open until Saturday. This was difficult to understand given the 25°C+ temperatures, full sunshine during our stay, and the written confirmation we had received. What I found unacceptable happened as I left the reception. In front of my wife, the manager called the pool supervisor and said: "Can you open the swimming pool tomorrow? Otherwise “I get crazy here." This comment was unnecessary and hardly aligned with the hotel's website promise that guests will be welcomed with "genuine smiles and discreet attention." The following morning, when I went to collect pool towels, I was informed that each towel cost €3 to rent and required a €25 cash deposit. This came after spending almost €2K for three rooms over three nights. It is rare to see a hotel charge guests for towels to use its own swimming pool, and even rarer to require a cash-only deposit. At the same time, guests are forbidden from using room towels by the pool. Communication before arrival was confusing. I was initially told the restaurant would not yet be open and the pool would probably be available. Later, I received 2 emails referring to buffet schedules (to eventually find out the restaurant was indeed closed) and a confirmation about the opening of swimming pool. The same confusion appeared when my mother asked whether the hotel still had beach facilities, as it did years ago. The answer initially seemed to be yes, only to become: "We no longer own beach facilities”, to then “we have agreements with nearby operators but you pay the standard public rate." The positive side is that we had a wonderful time in Rimini. The city is fantastic: beautiful beaches, excellent restaurants (including other 4* hotels who already opened their restaurant), a stunning seafront promenade, a charming historic centre, and genuinely friendly people everywhere we went. We came to Hotel Sporting Club to honour family memories. In a way, I think we closed that chapter. We will certainly return to Rimini, but unfortunately Hotel Sporting Club will not be part of our future visits.
The hotel is very well located, the rooms are spacious and comfortable — we would normally have rated it 5 stars. Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by one waiter (short, wearing glasses, I believe his name is Sergio) who repeatedly ignored us on several occasions, serving every table around us but never ours. On the third day we complained to the manager, who apologized for his behavior. We were the only non-European guests in the room, and it is hard not to see this as discrimination. This left us deeply hurt and added a very bitter note to an otherwise excellent stay.
