Gita, our guide, was absolutely fabulous - thoroughly knowledgeable, very engaging and also funny, she imparted so much of Riga’s history and is so passionate about this city. So many of the main sights were included, and it gave us a good basis to explore further in our own - highly recommend spending this time on your first visit to Riga - thanks Gita!!

Tour guide did not show up. Other tour members said the guide did not show up the day before. Another guide said the English tour guide often did not show up.

I really enjoyed the Riga Old Town walking tour. It was a lovely way to explore the charming streets, admire the architecture, and learn more about the city’s history. I would have liked a little more time at some of the stops, but overall it was a worthwhile experience. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Riga for the first time!

A great tour through all the major sites in Riga’s old town. Diana is very knowledgeable and pleasant. I’d definitely recommend this tour for first timers in Riga.

Kuna was a wonderful guide, she was funny, witty and kept a good pace. Easy to understand and really gave us a great history of Latvia.

It was our first visit to Riga and Guna our guide was amazing and gave us a huge amount of information about the country. She was very eloquent and had a great sense of humour.

Goona was a fabulous guide. She gave great perspectives on the various sites and was able to answer every question with facts and commentary. She was charming and engaging.

We did the tour this week with Guna, she was a really lovely guide, funny and we learnt a lot about the history of Latvia and were taken around the important sites in Riga in the Old Town. It was raining throughout but Guna was good at finding places out of the rain, and it was still a good tour. Took about 1hr45 but went very quickly. I’m still always shocked by people who leave without leaving a tip on a free tour. I wonder how they would feel if they weren’t paid for a couple of hours of doing their job.

We arrived at the Old Town Center well before the scheduled meeting time, exactly as instructed. It was raining, and we stood there waiting-looking for a tour guide in a green t-shirt, just as the activity description stated. It became uncomfortable and embarrassing having to approach every person wearing green to ask if they were our guide. No one ever showed up. We contacted the tour operator after the tour start time and received no response. We paid for an international call to reach Viator customer service, only to be told to keep waiting. After all of that, the only follow-up we received was that the tour operator refused to approve our refund request. We genuinely do not understand how they can keep our money when the service was never provided. This experience was unacceptable, and we will not be booking anything with this tour company again.

Riga is such a charming city. We really enjoyed our walking tour and learning a lot about Riga and its people. Our guide was kind enough to point out things to see and do and where the locals eat so we had plenty of places to explore after as well. This walking tour was a perfect addition to a perfect day in Riga!

It was the best walking tour I have ever been on. The guide was absolutely fantastic, and even with a large group, everyone could always hear him. He covered a lot of territory and provided a great deal of information. I was much more familiar with the history of Latvia and Riga by the end of the tour.

Brilliant tour. Baiba was a fantastic guide - very engaging, entertaining, and informative.

Susa(spelling?) was very inspirational and knowledgeable about Latvian culture and was even brave enough to share her singing skills which is very important in Latvian culture.

Guide was very good .She had a good knowledge and was clear. A bit tedious and boring for people who are not too keen on history. Keep it short and interesting .

Zane was very entertaining and covered all the major historical landmarks of Old Town Riga while giving us a good perspective on the history of Riga and the Latvian culture. Highly recommend.

The tour group was very large, at least 20+ people. The tour guide also chose to wait for some guests who were late, which felt inconsiderate to everyone who arrived on time. We started the tour about 15 minutes late. Otherwise, the tour was fine.

This was a great tour - it covered much of the highlights and gave us great info so we could then follow-up if we wanted to. Our guide provided lots of good historical information and also good advice for additional touring and where to find good food.

Great orientation trip to start a holiday in Riga and Latvia. Our guide balanced just right the giving of historical and everyday information to help visitors understand more about the country and culture. Well worth it!

An excellent overview of what is a historically complicated city. Without this tour we would not have understood what exactly we were looking at.

This was a great tour...so many wonderful sites to see and Gita, our tour guide, was amazing! She shared the history of Riga and made the rest of our stay there so meaningful. The walking was just enough and there was never a time where we felt rushed.

Our guide was savy, funny and friendly. Got a little trouble finding him since there was mixed Information about the starting point of the tour but, he made up for it. Totally recommend it!

Great guide, knowlegable, with a little humour thrown in. Would recommend this walking tour of Old Riga Town.

Would give 0 stars if it was an option. Got a text indicating our tour was moved 30 minutes later at the same meeting point. I confirmed I received the message and we would see them at 11. We got to the meeting point at 10:50 and stood around until 11:20. The entire time we were looking for anyone with a sign and there was no one. I attempted to text the number that had texted me this morning, no response. I tried to call the number associated, it went straight to voicemail. Tried to message through the Viator app, received no response and of course it’s too late for a refund or to cancel even though THEY moved the time and then the tour guide never showed! So disappointed. Do not recommend and do not book.
