Radisson claim this as a 4 star but it’s definitely a 3 star hotel. Rooms are adequate but main flaw is that there is no functioning air conditioning. I swapped rooms but in both the air conditioning didn’t work, or only worked for a few minutes before turning off. The location on the edge of the old city is good but tram tracks run past the hotel from 5am til midnight, making it impossible to have the windows open and sleep. The hotel is worn in places, with dirty hallway carpets but the rooms are clean. The gym is scarcely bigger than a closet. Some weights & bench and a cycle that barely fits. Breakfast is mediocre. Several options but the hot food looks more reheated than cooked. Saving grace is the staff who were friendly and tried to help but are limited by the deficient hotel they work in.

Friendly front desk staff and wonderful location. Liked · Easy walking to both old town and new city centre. Right next to a good coffee and cake shop! Our room (308) on the park facing side (nice to wake up and see the well-groomed park across the street) was pretty spacious and comfortable but quite noisy with the early morning trams. Disliked · Breakfast was ok but I really prefer my bacon fully cooked (crispy even). A greater variety of fruit would make it 5 stars.
Really enjoyed my stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and happy to help with any questions. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, and the location was excellent—just a short walk from Riga city center and the Old Town, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, everything was even better than I expected. I’d definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Riga.
My stay at Radisson Hotel Old Town Riga was exceptional, and a huge part of that experience was thanks to the outstanding people working there. I would especially like to express my sincere gratitude to Ansis, whose professionalism, kindness, and dedication truly stood out. From the beginning of my stay until the very end, he consistently went above and beyond to accommodate my personal needs and make sure everything was handled with care and attention. No question was too small, no request felt inconvenient — he explained everything clearly, offered help proactively, and created an atmosphere where I felt genuinely welcomed and looked after. His level of service reflects the very highest standards of hospitality. I also want to thank Undine for such a memorable welcome upon my return to the hotel after a long and exhausting day. Her outstanding attitude, warmth, and positive energy immediately changed the atmosphere and lifted my spirits. It’s rare to encounter someone whose professionalism feels so natural and inspiring at the same time. People like Ansis and Undine are what transform a hotel stay into something memorable. Their dedication, human approach, and exceptional service deserve recognition. I would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel to others. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable.
Ece at the concierge is simply outstanding. Her kind service and willingness to help guests is the very best, I've experienced in all my travels. I was under time pressure to find a service on a holiday when most places were fully booked. Ece made multiple calls and searched the internet until she found a perfect solution for me. Her care and perseverance are remarkable and made our stay at the Radisson Old Town feel like a home away from home. The hotel is centrally located, has a wonderful bakery around the corner and know you will be well cared for!
