Great old charm Hansa Hotel in Old town. I am suprised of Reception lady hospitality , room level, and great location. Hotel is old and full of small details...smelling great history. Thank you.. 🤗

I booked with the hotel for one night from their main website. The current offer was for a 15% discount and a late check out, so I booked a single room with a desk as shown in the photos. When I checked in, I confirmed the room had a desk, but when I got to the room, it didn't have a desk it had a chair facing a nook with nowhere to put your legs. Not a desk. Second, I confirmed the offer when I booked for the late check out. This wasn't part of the offer apparently and I needed to pay €30 for a late check out until 4pm. This was very misleading. A couple of hours after my check in, I had a conversation with the evening clerk about my desk situation. He said no desks were available, so I asked about a refund on the late check out. He told me to wait for the manager the next day. The following morning, I spoke to the manager about all this. He said that they could probably find a desk for me but it was too late for a refund on the late check out. This would have needed to be done ON THE SAME DAY. Another instance was the hotel sauna. I asked to use it. The woman at reception was very hesitant about it and had many excuses about how long it would take to warm up, and maybe there wasn't enough time. AFTER that whole conversation, I said I still wanted to use it and THEN she said "Oh and its €25. It's not free for hotel guests." When I checked out, the woman asked me how my stay was. The same woman I spoke to about the sauna. I explained to her why my stay hadn't been the best. No apology or any other gesture of good will.

Spacious room with a bathtub. Excellent location. A bit old-fashioned, but it suits the Old Town perfectly. Easy Bolt ride to and from the parking area (4€).

The hotel is in a great location. It really doesn't get any better. You're within walking distance of so much. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were ample size. Initially, the bathroom had a bad odor but it seems the trap pipe probably dried because once we ran some water in the shower the smell eventually went away. The shower was a bit small and lacked a tray or something to put your shampoo, soap and razor. I ended up having to put it on the top rail of the shower door. The breakfast was okay but it was the same thing everyday with no chance in variety each day. In all, I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is beautiful from the outside.
