We booked this hotel as we're platinum Marriott members so wanted to continue earning points. We didn't really know where it was before booking. However, the location turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. We were close to some very good restaurants (Catch/ Riviera) and some very cool buildings, and the park. Check in was smooth and the team there understood and spoke English perfectly well. They helped us with our room upgrade request and free breakfast via our membership level. The room is well decorated but small. You get a nice comfortable bed, TV, coffee machine but the toilet/ shower room is tiny. There's not much space overall. We even put our suitcase on the desk as there was no place for it on the floor. The breakfast was functional. A staple of scrambled eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, yoghurts, juices etc all made for a decent start to the day. So, really the hotel only gets 4 stars as the rooms are quite small. Otherwise, we would highly recommend as a place to stay for the location.

Great location, very friendly and professional service staff. Room was really nice. The Lavazza coffee machine was a nice touch. We had a good stay.
The main reason I booked this hotel is because I spend 20% of the days in a year inside a Marriott hotel all over the world and due to that, I get some perks. It is always great to get in a hotel and be greeted as a member and several times get an upgrade. That was my goal. I got to this Marriott hotel and no greeting, no upgrades and that would be ok for this 4 night stay, but they gave me the broom closet. A very small room, with a loosen toilet seat. A broke trash can, a non functioning TV and some old pillows... I went down and asked to pay for a better room since I noticed half of my floor had larger rooms. They refused to change and said they were full. I went online and found they did have rooms available to book on the suites... I stayed 4 nights with the broke tv "not connecting" and the bad bathroom, but this is a hotel that I never intend to return.
Good location with walking distance to the old town. Hot water for shower was sporadically, even at several occasions the water turned cold immediately then scolding hot! It felt unsafe! The customer service for breakfast needs to do better. 1st day there were no utensils on any tables. My husband asked one of the employees, Maliana (spelling maybe incorrect), and was told her colleague would do that for him while she continued to whatever she was doing and uninformed her colleague. So I had to walk around to find a couple of clean utensils. The next day at breakfast was not any better either. One employees disregarded our table and was about to move our table to be joined with the next table, I had to point out that my husband and I were sitting there and had our drinks on the table. While the other table had already taken our utensils, I had to ask the same one from the day before for utensils, she pointed out there were utensils on the bar counter. Don't bother to ask them for anything even with a politeness and nicely, they will not do for you.
Had a wonderful stay and would like to give a special thank you to Omar at reception for being so kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. On one occasion housekeeping forgot to remove the rubbish and replace the coffee pods, but it really wasn’t an issue and the reception team were lovely and happy to help. Overall, a great experience and I would happily stay again.
