The tour led by Charlotte of Central and Old Lyon was excellent. The tour was full of great historic details that made these sites come alive. Charlotte was excellent in speaking in borh French and English. Lastly, she went out of her way to make great suggestions for the rest of our stay in this wonderfûl city. I Highly recommand this tour
We had this tour to ourselves, and it was fascinating. Lucy, our guide, was highly knowledgeable about the city of Lyon: its history and architecture. For two and a half hours, she showed us various sights in the city, explaining the history as she went. We especially loved the secret passageways. She spoke in fine English, and she asked us questions in order to engage us on the tour, like a good teacher. Lucy's personality is charming, and she made us feel like friends. Do it!

We were a family group of 40s/50s and late teens. Everyone really enjoyed the tour, Lucie did a nice job of weaving together history and the buildings and spaces we saw. Just the right length and amount of walking. Highly recommend!

Lucie was a great guide. We would have NEVER found the traboules she took us through if we’d been on our own. She also cleared up some rumors I’d heard about their use during the Resistance movement. Lucie made sure we arrived at the Cathedral in time to watch the astronomical clock and shared some information about Lyonnaise dishes that very helpful when making our dining choices that evening.

This was one of the best guides ever and every place was fascinating. I loved loved loved this tour!! Our guide Lucy walked slowly for us and others who couldn't walk fast, she was patient and kind and interesting and knowledgable, spoke excellent English. Lyon has shot right up as one of my favorite cities and Lucy took us to some fabulous places, beautiful and interesting.

We learnt about the history of the city, the fabulous hidden laneways, architecture etc. We walked through the old town and stopped to visit interesting historical buildings that we would never have discovered on our own. We had such a great time on the Old town walking tour with Charlotte! The tour fits perfectly into two hours, we really get the time to understand Lyon’s history across the centuries. Walking through the Traboules was honestly amazing, such cool hidden spots and definitely a highlight of the tour. There’s lot of interesting info along the way, from the Canuts (silk workers) to local inventions and all the different cultural influences that shaped the city. And as a bonus, Charlotte gave us some excellent food recommendations at the end! I 100% recommend this tour!!
Nicely paced walking tour with plenty (but not too much) information. Ideal for 5 of family with 3 teenagers. Charlotte was very pleasant and helpful with lots of tips.
Our guide was both warm and knowledgeable. She knew where the good places are, related much about the history.
Very nice and competent tour guide. We expected more due to the hint about hidden traboules. Only one traboule is visited, which is also recommended as accessible to everyone on the city bus. Basically, it is a completely normal city tour. Unfortunately too expensive for that.
