Our charming guide Elisa took us to 5 food stops as well as many other sites. We tasted many traditional Lyon specialties including Quenelle de Broche, local charcuterie, and tarte aux praline. A great way to get to know Vieux Lyon.

My wife and I just finished this tour and had a great time. Elisabetta did a splendid job of sharing much of the history and traditions of Lyon. We visited only local providers who have been around for many years. The food and drink was excellent and we learned of some of the many places that the Lyonnaise frequent. This is really valuable since we are here for five nights so will have time to enjoy the food scene more thoroughly. This tour is an excellent window into the local culture and we highly recommend it.

We had a great time eating our way through Lyon. Our guide Nicolas was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained the history behind the culinary traditions (in both French and English!)

Anna, our tour guide, provided an excellent informative walking tour, describing not only the surrounding neighborhoods but the history of the food we were sampling. All 5 sites where we tasted were interesting and welcoming, and all the food was delicious both savory and sweet. We were promised the equivalent of a full meal and this tour delivered. Excellent tour. Our guide, Anna, gave us great food experiences and good information about Lyon food and history. Ask in advance about food restrictions. One of our tour dropped out due to nut allergies.

The tour started late, she texted she could recognize her as she would be wearing sunglasses and a badge. The provided no help as most people in the big square were wearing sun glasses and her badge was appropriately 3-inches by 2-inches. The guide had a very soft voice making her information difficult to hear. We realized we learned very little on this tour!

Really great tour with Marie-Clara. Lots of good information about Lyon and the food was good. The only improvement I would suggest is not going to 2 candy/chocolate shops-switch one out for something else.

We had the pleasure of being taken around Lyon with Anna to experience the food and treats of Lyon. We had a great day, Anna took us to some great places . A cool wine shop for cheese and wine , a great lunch and then on to some great chocolatier’s. We enjoyed the confectionery shop where Anna translated the interesting stories re the evolution of confectionery in Lyon and she introduced us to the famous Lyon La Praluline. All mixed in with interesting stories and humour. Thanks Anna

The tour was fantastic. Food was delicious and the history and architecture was exactly what we wanted. Elisabetta was extremely friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. She gave great recommendations for more places to check out and also made sure we were all safe and comfortable on the walk! 10/10 recommend.

This was a fun, relaxed and informative evening with Nicholas. We enjoyed cheeses, wines, meats and a delicious meal in several establishments. Nicholas also provided great advice on where to eat and where not to eat. Highly recommend this evening tour of about 3 hours. Our group size was 12 people, 8 UK, 2 Swiss and 2 Canadian.

Great tour that incorporated some history along with a gastronomic experience. We enjoyed each stop and had a nice variety of foods. We left feeling full and with a knowledge of Lyon’s local dishes and rich history. Elisabetta was a wonderful guide! She was knowledge and customized what she talked about based on our interests. We especially appreciated the great recommendations she made for us to enjoy the rest of our time in Lyon. We followed many of her tips and they did not disappoint!

Anna was a great tour guide. She reached out the day before with clear instructions on where to meet. The tour was very informative, neat locations and food and a great overall experience. Anna was aware my mom had mobility issues and took great care of her - modifying the tour so she could participate. Really appreciated that. Would recommend a tour with Anna for sure! 5 out of 5!! :)

Just not value for money. We had dinner previous evening at top bouchon restaurant and total bill for outstanding meal was less per person than your. Wine was certainly not ‘quality’ wine. Also because of festivities inside the square, guide arranged another meeting spot but we weren’t notified therefore spent several frustrating minutes trying to find him. He finally called us. All in all we were very disappointed in tour.

Small group of 8. A variety of food tastings with a full entre, followed by desert at different venues. A good review of Lyon food without the tripes! Easy pace and visiting oh old Lyon. Well worth the visit.

It was the best tour of our trip. We have taken many food tours but this was exceptional! Daniel was so engaging and pleasant and full of historical facts as well as information about all the stops we made. All of the food, the chocolates, the waffles, the beer, the full lunch was amazing! We all loved everything about it!

Loved it. Our guide Nathalie was brilliant. Her passion for the city, its food and how it is intrinsically linked to the city’s history was a delight. Nathalie and the proprietors of the various foodie stops were able to accommodate my husbands dietary requirements which meant he too could enjoy the experience. Great tour with our bilingual tour guide. During ~3 hours, Stéphanie guided us to a tasting of 5 different Lyon specialties with also a detailed explaination of the different places and history of mosthly the old town.

The tour was great, learning Lyon culture with delicious food. Our tour guide Elizabetta was great. She is knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was well organised and smooth. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and her company.

Stephanie was an excellent guide. Her communication with us during the tour, pre and post tour was excellent. The pace of the tour was good and the information provided was interesting. We had 5 stops for food. The first provided a board of charcuterie, sliced meat, pate en crout, briochewith sausage. The next stop was at a charming restaurant. We had a choice of one of two dishes, quenelle stuffed with pike fish, baked served with lobster sauce or ravioli served with cheese and spinach. Everyone loved the food. The next food treat was an ice cream of our choice from a menu with over 100 favours, including, blue cheese, rhubarb, brownie, bacon etc. The final food stop was to try 3 different chocolate confections. They each had a story regarding their appearance. They were very sugary, more Ike lollies than chocolate. Stephanie went in to another shop and bought a take away wrapped brioche for everyone. The walk around Vieux Lyon included a visit to a tabouleh and historic information about the area and its sights. Thank you Stephanie. We enjoyed our tour with you.
