Then, take your croissant and go to the Montée du Gourguillon, a vintage street of the hill of Fourvière that earned its place in the UNESCO Heritage list. This hill road used to be the only link between the Roman city and the riverside districts. Legends say that in the early 14th century, Pope Clement was crowned in the upper town. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, on his way down, his party was partly buried under a falling wall. The Pope's crown fell and a sizable diamond was lost... Some people are still looking for it today, but only a true explorer can find it. So, look around you to answer the question and find the diamond!
Now we are headed towards the Eglise Saint-Just, a church in Lyon that will lure travellers to it through the power of God, of course, but also through its impressive architecture that needs to be admired. But who was Saint Just? He was a well-known bishop, but it is said that he abandoned the episcopate and left in exile in Egypt, following some tragic circumstances which involved a maniac in the doors of his cathedral. Whether you are a saint or sinner, you need to investigate this case, answer the question and advance to your next destination.
On a not-so-sumbre note, welcome to the Loyasse Cemetery, created in the early 19th century to cope with the increase in the urban population. It is considered the “cemetery of the rich” and it is the burying place of the great Lyon families, as well as many of the names that have marked the history of the city. You don’t need to be scared! The funerary architecture that we find in Loyasse is characterized by a great diversity of styles and for good reason, the owners of the spots are free to manage and construct them as they see fit. Check your surroundings and solve the challenge which hopefully, is not buried too deep!
Congratulations! You haven’t been scared so far and now you are about to discover the last mystery that revolves around the Cathedral Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Lyon, the majestic crown of Old Lyon. An impressive mix of Roman and Gothic styles, Saint Jean Cathedral stands out from the crowd in the cobbles of Vieux Lyon, chiming its bells to welcome visitors through its oak doors. As a tradition that dates back to the 17th century, on 8th of December, Lyon holds an annual Fête des Lumières (Festival of Lights), the cathedral playing a starring role, with vivid projections lighting up the main façade. But one place was not lightened enough, as it seems, and you need to discover it in order to call yourself a true Questo explorer!
We did not know what to expect but we are always up for a quest. We had fun and learned a lot.. some of the quests were tough. got to see adorable neighborhoods outside Lyon Vieux. Please be advised there is a lot of walking predominantly up hill. Must be in reasonably good health. Recommend!
Lots of fun. Good story, clues, and directions. Lots of sites and history. This was our first introduction to Lyon and it took us around to varied and interesting places.
À few interesting things to discover about the background of France’ s former capital city. I wish there were more rifles to solve for a one hour walk though …
We did this in early december, our first Questo ever! We started just after 4pm, it got dark quickly and the atmosphere was set for the ghost hunt! We did several walking tours in Lyon, this one was by far the best from the way it was organized around the story line! Only time we had to google something to get the answer was due to darkness and the stone being wet, we couldn't read what kind of memorial it was. We had great fun and recommend it to all our friends visiting Lyon.
I would absolutely not recommend this tour! The app was a fun idea and I expected to get some good stories of the city. The game takes you into the neighborhoods outside the tourist area. We did see things we wouldn’t have seen but we walked uphill the entire way almost and about 2 miles away from the city. The tour takes you through some deserted streets and leaves you in the middle of no where with really bad directions back to where you started. It took us almost as long to get back to where we started as the entire game. Do not waste your money!
My thirteen-year-old son and I used the game to take an evening walking tour of Old Lyon and both had an absolutely great time. Highly recommended!
Played with a group of family and friend (6 people) we split up in teams of two and had a blast! This was not only fun but we got to walk around the city and learn quite some interesting facts. It got a bit competitive but everyone had fun. You should try, it's quite amusing, and an excellent excuse to stay outdoors and discover the city.
This experience was a try for us because we searched something to do and we heard there were a quest in Lyon, so let’s do this we thought and we were very happy to tried this adventure because we discovered some new places with my family :) I suggest it to you
The game it's really nice because we can discover a known city as a new one and see different things and have different viewpoints than the habitual famous monuments/places. And it's easy to play with friends with the only one paid ticket for everyone! I hope to see more in other cities!
The price is ok because you get an access for 4 . We really enjoyed the quest in Lyon, we walked a lot and discovered many places !
An experience that allows for a beautiful discovery of Fourvière and its history.
An excellent way to see our city from a different perspective, to discover part of its history through people who lived there. Made by day. The puzzles are nice and the thread of the story very well until the end. We were 6 adults, we took our time, deepened some places so it took us more than 3 hours.
Great. fun and informative walk. A good time to spend in the streets of this beautiful city. Start a little physical but it's easy.
The course was very nice and fun, a nice walk in with beautiful discoveries, only flat, to start the game and be in group with my friends, it was complicated and not at all intuitive...
Nous avons acheté l'application pour 2 personnes, mais n'avons jamais réussi à faire fonctionner l'application simultanément sur nos 2 téléphones. Du coup, nous n'en avons utilisé qu'un seul. Dommage.
J'ai visité des endroits moins touristiques et j'ai découvert une histoire de Lyon que je ne connaissais pas. Par contre très physique!
Nice story flow, a good big plus for the historical anecdotes throughout the game. It allows you to discover in an original way a part of Lyon where we rarely go. Downside for the end, which does not take place where one might expect (the basilica) from almost the beginning, but which left us in the middle of the street, and not the calmest in the game.
Great experience another way to discover the city...to finish with the scooter...

Interesting concept! This made us walk in lesser known areas of Lyon. The puzzles aren't bad either. I think there’s real potential, putting a bit more puzzles, or doing a circuit with even less known areas. In any case, we liked it, and the announced time is respected, even taking its time.

Nice moment, very good concept, I would have liked to discover more emblematic places of Lyon, but the city is so big! Very affordable puzzles, quick chat support in case of blockage!
Friendly activity to discover the less touristy streets of old Lyon. The puzzles could be a little more fun by adding interactions with people on certain places such as shops or Welcoming staff on sites such as Notre Dame de Fourvière Basilica.
A well thought out story, Lily loved it! But what a shame not to go through Fourvière! Remember to put on good shoes because all the climbs are in the quest;) Too bad the game doesn't make a complete turn! We're stopping right in the middle of town. Attempting other quests ...

We tried Questo around Halloween with our youth association and it was great, we had fun and we could discover nice places. The story is very well told and it was a pleasure to read it for my group. To do, alone or with several.
