She was a wonderful source of knowledge and you could tell the community really appreciates her as they all greeted her as we passed by. Thanks Anna. I took a private tour around old parts of Lyon last week. Anna was a great guide with excellent English & knowledge of the old parts of Lyon. It was raining the day of the tour but we were able to take shelter on our wonderings from place to place. The restaurants we visited were very welcoming & hospitable. A great couple of hours with Anna. She was warm, thoughtful and was super responsive with follow up help. She was particularly interested in introducing us to the specialties of Lyon, and coupled it with some local history that was entertaining and informative.

I had high expectations going into the tour and Anna blew them away. She was so personal with our group and made us feel right at home. She has a great knowledge for the food and history of Lyon making this tour an incredible experience for our group. She even gave food recommendations to try outside of the tour and it became one of our favorite meals we had the entire trip. I would recommend doing this tour early in your stay in Lyon as Anna will help you gain a better appreciation and idea of what to look for while eating your way through the city. I could not recommend this experience more 10/10.

Anna was amazing! She not only introduced us to Lyon’s favorite foods but also gave us a comprehensive history lesson as well. I highly recommend her and her tour to anyone wanting a fun and educational (not to mention delicious!) tour of Lyon’s old city!

This was our first visit to Lyon and our guide gave us a wonderful introduction to the history of, architecture and foods to be found in the Old Town of the city. We enjoyed walking along narrow streets and through “secret” passageways. The servings of different local specialties such as a charcuterie board, a very sweet Pauline, and a quenelle were very generous and tasty!

Our tour was cancelled the day before the event. The next date available was over a week away. The option to rebook was over a week after our scheduled tour so it was not possible to revise. Ironically, the other 2 tours I booked through Trip Advisor in Lyon changed their dates or time. What's up in Lyon?

What a great way to see Lyon while tasting your way through this beautiful city! Anna is authentic, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. Our group was small and intimate which made for a very pleasant experience. Anna provided a sample of many local delicacies along with an explanation of their historic significance. In addition, to the tour she also provided many restaurant recommendations and other sites to see in the city. We can highly recommend this tour.

Anna provides a fabulous walking tour of old Lyon, complete with history, stops for delicious food (some sit downs, some tastes), and a trip through a traboule. The tour we signed up for was in English, which Anna (who is French) speaks very well. I have a specific food allergy, which Anna asked about ahead of time. At each stop, she would let me know if I could taste the food or not due to my food allergy. We did the tour on our first day in Lyon, and I'm so glad we did! This experience helped us understand and navigate Lyon in a much deeper way for the rest of our time in Lyon. We can't recommend this tour enough! And if you are seeking something more tailored to your small group, Anna is able to work with you.

Anna was GREAT. very knowledgeable about local food, customs, history of Lyon. Also excellent suggestions of other things to see and do while we were in Lyon and the area. She kept things moving and the 3 hours went by FAST. We did the tour with her on Thursday September 11, 2025 from 11-2pm. There was a group of 6 of us. Her voice carried very well, despite some loud noises around us, you could hear her clearly.

Anna was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many interesting stories about the old town. From hidden details of the street to cultural insights I would have easily missed on my own, and I especially enjoyed the little quizzes she included along the way. I had actually arrived in Lyon the day before and briefly walked through the old town, but after this tour, I began to see the streets in a completely different way. The places I passed without much thought suddenly had meaning and stories behind them. If you’re visiting Lyon and want to explore the city in a meaningful (and delicious!) way, I highly recommend her tour.

My partner Helene Marie and I recently did a 3 hour history and cullinary tour with Anna and thw whole expereinec was fantastic. As I'm South Afrcan and not a native French speaker we asked Anna to do the walk in english. Everuthing about the tour was light-hearted, fun and informative. While Anna shared some great stories and legends we got to experience the old city of Lyon both histrically and cullinary. I don't want to share too much about the tour as it will spoil if for you. However I do suggest that when you're next in Lyon, do this tour and book Anna as your guide. It will definitley be one for your travel memories. Gary and Helene Marie.

Anna was a wonderful guide for our history and food tour in downtown Lyon! It was our first full day so she also included lots of recommendations of things to do, museums to see and restaurants/bars with great options for our family. It was a lucky day when I signed up for Anna’s Food and History Tour—a perfect balance of relevant history, culture and local gastronomy. Although I’ve experienced France quite a bit, Anna’s tour made my first time in Lyon spectacularly refreshing, highlighting unique attributes of Lyon. She wove interesting stories and anecdotes into a flawless presentation of history in a way that even this history-challenged traveler ate up. As the focus of our tour, food reigned with a wonderful variety of local cheeses, sweets, saucissons, and one of Lyon’s iconic specialities, quenelle. I had to go back for more of a couple goodies to take home! Anna brought us to many corners of Vieux Lyon, which was a welcome portion of the tour to get some nice walking in. I highly recommend Anna’s tour—she is an enthusiastic, fun, knowledgeable guide and I would sign up for any other tour she may create in the future!

Being new to Lyon, all I knew was that it’s the gastronomic capital of the world, all of the restaurants are overwhelming. Anna did a phenomenal job ensuring we got to try Lyon’s key sweets, appetizers, and main dish. The tours focus is food (of course) but Anna is extremely knowledgeable of the city and its culture/history. She has interesting anecdotes to accompany the tour, which make it fun and engaging. I also want to include that I (22m) went with my mother, and we both had an amazing time. 10/10 recommend

Awsome tour ! We got to learn more about Lyon, its history and the history and gastronomy in this beautiful place that is the Vieux Lyon (old part of town) with lovely and funny Anna. We saw beautiful sights, walked a bit, ate a lot, loved it !!
