Everything was perfectly arranged, and our guests were very happy with their experience. The hotel has an excellent location in the heart of Lyon, making it very convenient both for sightseeing and for enjoying the city. The staff were extremely welcoming, professional, helpful and attentive throughout our stay. We would especially like to thank Ambre for her excellent assistance, kindness and professionalism in organizing our group accommodation. It was a real pleasure working with her. As a tour operator, we truly appreciate hotels where we can feel confident that our guests will be well taken care of — and this was certainly the case here. The AC in the room didn't work and there was just an old fan in the room. As it was already late in night we didn't want to change the room anymore, but of course with still around 30 degrees outside it was not comfortable to rest and sleep. The rooms and hotel itself are also quite outdated and far from 4 star level hotel. In addition the location is not ideal as it the evening it was really noisy due to road noise. So I can now recommend in terms of comfort and quality.
Georg was the highlight of my stay. I experienced the worst modern-day traveling accident anyone could experience: loss of phone. Thankfully I had credit cards on me. My Uber driver returned my phone and Georg brought it straight to my room. This is all past 0100. Georg was so kind and had great energy about him. I never saw him again but I'll never forget him (and the Uber driver). Great location to public transportation, and a tasty, plentiful breakfast at Belle Saisons. Allez Les Bleus!!!🇨🇵 ⚽️ 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hotel has 4 stars, which does not correspond with his quality. It is a beautiful building, but very old and needs the renovation! Location is good (near the train station and center), but quite noisy. Rooms are clean, beds confortable. Breakfests are sufficient.
Hôtel Mercure Lyon Centre Château Perrache is a charming hotel situated in a prime location near the heart of Lyon, making it an excellent choice for visitors. As it was my first visit to Lyon, I found Château Perrache perfectly situated for exploring the city’s main attractions and transportation hubs. The room I stayed in was spacious, comfortably furnished with modern decor, and had a charming ambiance that made me feel at home. It was spotlessly clean, with thoughtful touches such as a re-filled water bottle each day and complimentary drinks in the minibar. However, I must mention a disappointing aspect: both hotel entrances appeared unwelcoming and quite plain. I understand this is due to ongoing construction work, which initially caught me off guard upon arrival. On a positive note, the hotel staff truly stood out. Their service was exceptional, I would confidently rate them a 10 out of 10. Every staff member I encountered was genuine, friendly, and professional without being overly familiar. Special praise goes to the restaurant and bar staff, as well as the two ladies and a young gentleman at the reception desk. Although I regret not remembering their names, their attentive service made a lasting impression. Overall, I believe Mercure could elevate its guest experience by adopting the excellent customer service standards demonstrated at Château Perrache across all areas of the hotel.
