Wonderful hotel in the center of Lyon. Very easy to walk or bus to the attractions. The pool was a fantastic way to cool down after a hot day sightseeing.

Beautiful old hotel.Great location close to everything in central Lyon. Friendly staff, front desk 24 hours. Rooms have A/C, very comfortable rooms and bed. Swimming pool off to the side of the breakfast room.

We had an amazing stay at Grand Hotel des Terreaux. The front desk staff was extremely friendly upon our arrival and our room was ready early. We checked in and were surprised with a bottle of champagne and swan towels for our honeymoon! Such a fun touch. The room was nice and spacious, and had AC which was crucial during the heat wave. We also took advantage of the small pools/“ponds” to cool off mid day and in the evening. Only note is that it is off the breakfast area, which is a bit odd, but still nice and tucked away. The location was central to everything we wanted to explore in Lyon, we walked just about everywhere. Highly recommend, and we will be back!

The hotel was disappointing. We had agreed on check-in at 14:30, but the room was not ready at that time. We came back an hour and a half later — and the room was still not ready. The room itself is very small, with barely any space to move around. We chose this hotel mainly because of the spa area, but it did not meet expectations at all. The water is not heated, and it’s impossible to stay there for more than 10 minutes. Overall, the experience did not match our expectations. I do not recommend this hotel.
