Informative but not a great presentation. I do enjoy a good audio tour and listen to them quite often when I travel. This was a little dry. Not sure I would embark upon this production company again.

A useful guide & easy to download for use as you move around. Just be sure this is guide only not entrance. After tour I discovered a second exhibition on Ancient Rhodes opposite cafe but only open 2 days weekly & a stone hall in garden with more details of the knights. Neither were advertised any where which I think l is missing a good selling point for the castle
This is a con it leaves you to believe admission is included, so I was turned away and had to pay again, this is misssold and useless, and I was refused a refund, total waste of money as all your descriptions are already at the palace.
€20 per person?? And there is little return. Items on display tell no story and the annotation was either missing or difficult to read (faded). Staff listed around the site were gazing at their phones (who can blame them as it was so boring) and they occasionally shouted out when a child touched a stone on display… one chap was equally bored and switched off a light which caused a staff member to have a melt down (that was the highlight of the visit). But hey, you’ve come all this way so give them your €20, have a wonder, have a moan (like me) and leave. Then treat yourself to some amazing food in a roof top terrace… you deserve it!
I am a maybe because it took me a while to figure out that I had received a message in the app with a download link. It wasn't visible until after the morning of the scheduled event. Not realizing that I would be downloading the audio to my phone I set out to see the Grand Masters Palace. I arrived. I asked the ticket ladies, the gift shop ladies, the security guard, andy that looked like they might have a clue. Where could I pick up my audio listen device like had at many other places on my trip. I was told by the ticketing office that this was a scam. I was pretty sure that was not the case. After being there for about an hour I finally saw the message eith the link. I downloaded it and went back to the gate to follow the Tour. It was not exactly up to date with the flow of the rooms. It made it hard to follow. There were exhibits going on which probably threw off that flow as rooms were open that were not mentioned on the Tour. What the audio did have to was informative if you could follow. If I had to do it over again I probably would choose a different way. If you want to do the Tour at your leisure and go as fast or slow as you like then "maybe" this id the option for you.
Purchased an audio program that clearly claimed the cost of the ticket to the attraction was €8 but when we got there the entry cost was €20, and additional €12 more than we budgeted for, took so long to get an answer from the tour company and Viator, there wasn't enough time to be able to enjoy the attraction as well as we didn't budget for the additional cost for the 3 of us. The customer service was disgraceful, simply told there would be no refund with no reason other than bad luck. So disappointed we missed this once in a life time chance.....but it's obvious Viator only care about taking your cash...
Audio guide is great! Note that the site does not sell audio guides at entry so this was well worth it to appreciate the site. Great price too. Definitely download this guide to understand what you are looking at!
The audio tour was pretty good, had some mistakes early on but able to get back on track. I did other tours from them, one was worse and one was better.
Would rate 0 stars if I could - unable to even access this experience as no activation code was emailed to me on the allocated day. Sent a message to the tour operator and received no reply. Denied a refund Don't waste tour time and money - Can easily tour and enjoy the palace without this scam.
It is unusual for Greek monuments to have no guidance apart from short description at each item you might see. Tour guides are expensive because it involves a real person, probably retired guide with local knowledge, which is fine if you can make group of 4+ ($30 pp or about) but if you cannot make numbers-you are stuck. We purchased this audio self-guide in advance as carefully and with great detail explained on Tripadvisor website. It was easy to download (I am just a user and was able to do it with nobody assistance) . It is true that download have to be stored in your mobile. Explanations were detailed, in clear well-educated English, we had no headphones and we just adjusted sound on our units. We enjoyed explanations very much at the great envy of other visitors: I was at least stopped and asked twice by others (some in the group left to wonder alone) and I told them what we did prior our visit-I think this product deserve a little free marketing. This is probably the best attraction related to Rhodes: there are many aquaparks, sandy beaches and sports attractions, but there is only one Grand Master Palace of Rhodes, well preserved with some awesome features: historical, architectural and beautiful in its own right. I was left wondering why nobody approached Cleo Muse and commissioned this product: its sensibly priced and well designed. I really do hope that attraction next door-archaeological Museum - Hospital of St John Order could be included, some interesting items I would like to hear more about.
New, for me leaving a review but I want to warn others who may look to travel to Rhodes, October half-term week. Don't go-choose another destination as Rhodes closes down 1/2 way through the week ready for winter. The 5 * all -inclusive resort AKTI IMPERIAL, Ixia has the same approach, they close down sections each day into your holiday and withdraw more & more of their facilities, pool bars, restaurants etc. The 'tourist tax' charged for the 7 night stay rubs your nose in it! Very disappointing and a rip off as they charge 7 nights but offer only 5 nights full-service.
I thought it was a useful tour that went into too much detail about objects in the rooms at the castle that really had very little to do with the period. I was able to download the tour without issue and did find some of the information valuable. That said, my two teenagers didn't like the tour and abandoned it after just a few minutes.

Could have used more real time explanation (placards, etc). Would be a simple thing to do. Otherwise, you really need a guide to get the full effect
The palace of the Grand Master is such an amazing place to visit in Rhodes. The guided tour provided enhanced the experience and made the navigation easier while providing interesting information.
The palace of the grand master is astonishing on its own, but what really makes a difference is this self guided tour. It felt amazing walking around having my personal tour guide explaining to be all sorts of things and with such amazing content. Definitely recommended.
Very expensive guided tour app, for same information also availaibe in the castle. 11.99 euro's each person without the castle entree was too much. The People working at the castle didnt even know about this guided tour from TripAdvisor.

Do not take this service, the ticket is not included and the audio guide is free with the museum entrance ticket which is 20 euros
An extensive, interesting collection. This dealt with various themes from antiquity to the present grandmaster. There were staff in all areas. A disadvantage was that there was no handrail along the stairs.
On TripAdvisor we bought 2 tickets to the Grand Masters Palace which were not accepted at Welcoming, it's theft
Full visit, the audio guide in French is downloadable on his smartphone and is a real plus to make the visit...
The best and easiest way to get a guided tour of the palace. Without an audio guide you are a bit lost, as there is little information on the spot. You have to orient yourself a bit, as the rooms are presented differently from the guided path. You can manage that pretty well.

Très déçue, on avait telechargé l'audio la veille et le lendemain, sur place ça ne fonctionnait pas. On n'était 3 adultes pour essayer de l'écouter. C'était mon premier achat sur viator.
