Stayed 5 nights in this hotel. Unfortunately got a room on the first floor facing "The Blue Lagoon", a very noisy venue open every night (appart from sunday) that also has a punching ball available on the street. And a gigantic LED screen facing the room. The noise was going through, as well as the light of the screen. I couldn't really sleep for 5 days (maybe 2-3 hours a night). I've asked from the first day on to change rooms. I got told that they will try to find a replacement. Never happened. I got told the hotel was full. Wasn't really the case. Long story short: I came for relaxing vacations, I came back home more exhausted than I originally was.

Total disappointment. We paid €1,220 for 7 nights, and this hotel not only failed to meet our expectations but completely ruined our vacation. In the photos, the hotel is presented as modern, with a good breakfast and spacious rooms. However, not a single one of those claims was true. We stayed in room 3016, which has no window. Imagine staying in a room where there is no possibility of fresh air or ventilation while two people are sleeping there. Another issue was that we were not given enough towels. After the first day, the housekeeper started leaving only one towel per person, and when I complained, she actually asked me why I needed two towels a day. Another major disappointment was the cleanliness of the room. The surfaces were never wiped, the bathroom was never properly cleaned, and the floor was never mopped. We were literally staying in a room that was never cleaned—only the bed was made, and fresh towels were brought. The breakfast was also much poorer than what was advertised in the photos. On top of that, once the food ran out, it was never replenished. So if you wanted a proper breakfast, you had to be among the first guests there. On our last day, we had to leave the hotel before breakfast service started. We asked if we could either eat some of the food that had already been prepared (such as cereal) or receive breakfast boxes (packed lunches). Both requests were refused. So apparently, the €175 per night we paid—€1,220 in total—was not enough for the hotel to provide us with a couple of sandwiches before our journey home. Paying €175 per night, which is an extremely high price, and receiving so little value along with such poor hygiene is simply unacceptable. Rhodes is a beautiful destination with stunning beaches and crystal-clear water. Don’t let an overpriced hotel ruin your vacation the way it ruined ours. This is definitely not a hotel I would recommend staying at.
I checked into the hotel last Thursday after 5:30 p.m. The following morning, housekeeping opened my room door without knocking. I immediately told them I didn’t need service that day, and they left. Later that evening, my family and I left for dinner around 6:30 p.m. When we returned after 10:00p.m., we found our hotel room door wide open. It wasn’t just unlocked—it was open all the way to the magnetic door stop. Naturally, I was very concerned and first checked to make sure all of our belongings were still there. I then went to the front desk to report what had happened. The receptionist told me, “That was me. I went in to give you shampoo.” This explanation made no sense. I had never requested shampoo, and since I had declined housekeeping that morning, there was no reason anyone should have entered my room. Leaving a guest’s room wide open is a serious security issue and completely unacceptable. Anyone could have entered the room while we were gone, putting our belongings and personal safety at risk. It was also very difficult to get in touch with the manager. When I finally did, he said he would meet with me to discuss the incident further, but that meeting never happened. The lack of follow-up only added to my disappointment. I cannot recommend staying here.
Right at the heart of the city! The rooms surprised us so much - we expected much smaller room, since it is a city hotel (and city hotels usually have smaller rooms) - but the room was extremely spacious, clean and big! The breakfast was very rich and the stuff very friendly and polite - all compliments. This hotel was the best choice!
Absolutely fantastic stay at Island City Hotel in Rhodes! The hotel is modern, spotless, and in a perfect location for exploring the city, with everything within easy walking distance. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our stay, which made it feel really relaxing and enjoyable. The breakfast was also one of the highlights!!!!fresh, tasty, and with a great variety every morning. A special mention goes to Clara at reception, who was outstanding. She was always friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful with anything we needed. Her professionalism and warm attitude really made our stay even more memorable. Overall, I highly recommend Island City Hotel. Excellent service, best breakfast, clean rooms, and amazing staff. We will definitely come back again! 😊🏨🌟
