This was an amazing trip. Eduard was a phenomenal guide. He kept the group engaged and entertained with the information he shared. He was an excellent driver as well and we experienced all sorts of weather in the one trip. The sites were incredible. Highly recommend this trip!

Itinerary
This breathtaking waterfall will leave your jaw dropped. You have definitely seen pictures of Seljalandasfoss but nothing beats the experience of getting a little wet when walking behind the falling water!
Discover the magical charm of Gljúfrabúi, a hidden waterfall concealed within a narrow canyon. This unique spot offers a memorable and almost fairytale-like experience, weather permitting.
This waterfall is a completely different beast! A huge amount of water is dropping down with tremendous force forming an everpresent water mist that creates beautiful rainbows. It feels like you can almost touch them.
We will make another stop in this charming little town.
This is certainly one of the brightest highlights of this tour. Named one of the top 10 beaches in the whole world by National Geographic, this spectacular location will leave you speechless. Basalt stacks, roaring waves and stunning scenery!
Stunning location where you can experience glacier from up close! Walk along the glacier lagoon and touch the ice itslef.

Fantastic tour to some of Iceland's loveliest places with a great guide! Monika made the day a lot of fun and gave us plenty of time at each site to enjoy. Would recommend.
Booked my south coast tour, right before leaving was notified the tour was oversold and I was "upgraded" to another tour. I called the customer service number multiple times, first few times a human never answered the phone. When I finally did connect they couldn't find any reservation under my name or booking number. Went on the "upgraded" tour which included horseback riding. What they didn't mention was that there is a size limit to riding iceland horses. I was "to big" to ride the horse and was not able to do this part of the tour. Once again tried to call number, never got anyone that could help.
Our vacation was coming to an end and there was time for only one tour. Literally the day before as my eyes are going wonky trying to figure what to choose but we knew we had to see more of beautiful Iceland. Finally decided on this one from EastWest which was the right choice and Devin with his very well spoken English and vast Icelandic knowledge really cement it. The glacier waterfalls are beautiful, the landscapes are wondrous and seeing the countryside makes you further appreciate the country. It’s a long day due these spots being further away from the city but plenty of bathroom breaks and a lunch break. You are not rushed at any of itinerary spots. This small group tour is also great because your tour guide (if you are lucky will get Devin) will pivot if one spots is too crowded or the weather is not ideal and will circle back to it. Definitely recommend this tour.
This was the best day of my life. The waterfalls and glacier were breathtaking. A once in a lifetime experience for sure!
Fabulous day today. Our guide, Martin was fab. Full of good information, very friendly and laid back. The sites were amazing. Would recommend 👌
Long, but interesting and beautiful tour. Our guide David was amazing, he made always sure that we were comfortable, safe and were informed well. Would recommend booking this tour!
Martin was an excellent guide. He was friendly, informative, and made sure all travelers knew how to enjoy each stop safely. Fantastic day and we lucked out with great weather.
The landscape of the south coast is definitely worth a visit. Overall, the tour was well-paced and our guide was decent, but not exceptional. He did an excellent job of warning us of how to be cautious around the surging waves of the black sand beach, and provided some good information, but possibly could have been a bit more informative. However, it was still a solid tour that I recommend. One word of caution: Back To Iceland did not seem to operate this tour. Our instructions for meeting the van said to look for a Back To Iceland sign. However, our bus was labelled as EastWest tours: a different company. All went smoothly, and the guide jumped out at our stop and specifically asked for us by name. However, it seems like Back to Iceland does not fully operate their own tours with their own labelled vans.
This tour is good, not great. You see a beach, some waterfalls, a glacier, which are all cool, but not necessarily special. We enjoyed the experience and would still recommend doing it, but our silver circle tour was better. Of course it is a matter of opinion. What you should know is the tour operator and guide are great as well as the vehicle they use to transport you.
Just returned from 8 day Northern Lights tour with Nordic Visitor tour group. A wonderful trip. We traveled the Ring Road around the Island. Our guide Dagur was great. His entertaining stories made us laugh as we learned about the History and Culture of Iceland. Nordic Visitors picked us up from the airport, we booked an extra stop at the Blue Lagoon and the driver waited up to 2 hours for us then continued to the hotel. We started our tour the next morning. We traveled the Golden Circle, then started making our way around the island, hitting all the major points of interest and a few lesser known ones. The accomodations were all clean and comfortable. Most breakfasts and dinners were included. Our main desire was to see the Northern Lights and we saw them 4 evenings. Being on the Ring road was helpful with less light pollution and it seemed the coastal areas of the east and north were more likely to have clear skies at night. All of the locals were very helpful and tapping a credit card made shopping easy everywhere without having to worry about having Icelandic Krona. Free Wi-Fi was available just about everywhere we went. Our tour had a maximum of 16 and no minimum so we didn't have to worry about the tour being canceled on us last minute. We had 13 in our group. We booked our own flights through Iceland Air. A direct flight from Orlando, Florida was reasonably priced and we drove down from Jacksonville, Florida. Iceland Air seemed to have direct flights from many major hubs. We did not have any cons to the trip. I highly recommend Nordic Visitors as a tour group and hopefully you can also get Dagur for the guide.
The guide demonstrated excellent knowledge and provided clear, insightful explanations throughout the tour. The overall experience was highly satisfying, with ample time allocated to explore all the destinations. I’d highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a memorable tour!
We booked a private tour to the South Coast with Back to Iceland and weren’t disappointed. Anton our guide picked us up at our hotel in a minibus so we had plenty of space for the four of us. We visited all the places on the itinerary and more.. Anton provided lots of information as we were driving about Iceland and the places we were passing as well as little stories and jokes. We had a brilliant day on the South Coast and would highly recommend both Back to Iceland and Anton. There weren’t many reviews on the Facebook groups I’d joined prior to our trip about Back to Iceland but we couldn’t fault them!
An excellent day trip. Our guide Anton was friendly, informative and pleasant to be with for the full day tour. We visited three waterfalls, black sand beach, and a glacier with plenty of rest reststops as needed. We had all sorts of weather during the trip from sunny moments, to rain, snow, sleet, and brief blizzard with high wind and Anton got us through safely and efficiently. Recommended.
Amazing guide and experience! Highly recommended!!! Beautiful sights, you will feel like you are in another world. Love the intimate group size as well.
Antanas was a fantastic driver and guide on today’s South Coast tour! Would highly recommend booking this magical day trip from Reykjavik, as it was our favorite one out of several. The sights are amazing.
The guide is very knowledgeable and provided many information on the whole trip. Safety device like crampons were provided, and got help to put on. There were only 4 people on the trip, I am so glad it didn't get cancelled. The winter view in south coast were amazing.
The driver, I can tell a lot about him, as he told us a lot about Iceland. Friendly and warm attitude towards passengers. recommend 100%
We ended up having a private tour and I 100% recommend this service and our guide. Not only did we see amazing sites, but our guide shared his knowledge and insight along the way. Our kids we are 18 and 13 had the best experience and so did we. Definitely 5 star service.
Antonio was a great driver with plenty of knowledge to share, in a fun way. The places we visited are amazing. We did have some boulders rolling down at the glacier, but we managed to avoid them. You can't go behind the water falls in winter..understandable, but we'll just have to come back.
Antanas went above and beyond for us on our Southcoast tour. We ended up with a private tour and he made it so special and is a very chatty, funny and kind man! 10/10 service with a smile. The sights you will see are breathtaking and he even did some additional stops as we weren’t able to go to one of the stops due to it not being safe with the weather conditions. I would 100% highly recommend this tour and would definitely look into their other tours that this family run company provide. He even provided us with the use of crampons which meant we weren’t slipping over like skittles on the ice. In Iceland it’s not mandatory that you tip and he was so shocked when we wanted to give him a tip even offering to give the money back but you could see it really meant a lot. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip so thank you so much again! I just hope he sticks to his word and works for another 24 years as a tour guide - even if it is to escape the wife! ;)
Anton was an excellent guide with lots of funny anecdotes and interesting facts about Iceland which made the journey easy and entertaining! We managed to hit most of the destinations before the big buses which made seeing the sights much more enjoyable! Being a small group made it much slicker, Anton also provided crampons for us to use which was a nice touch and much needed - we saw lots of people slipping without them. The Glacier for me was the stand out must see but everything was just beautiful and I would highly recommend!
We had a brilliant day on this trip. Our guide/driver Anton was great and very knowledgeable. Plenty of time at stops and for lunch - highly recommend!
This tour was excellent. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating of our needs. This tour was worth every penny and better than the typical larger touring company.
The scenery and waterfalls were amazing. Loved, loved, loved our tour guide. We would definitely recommend.
The whole tour was great, the Glacier was a real ‘wow’ but there were so many amazing sights to see! Thomas our driver and guide was brilliant and gave us so much information throughout the day, plus he planned which sights to see when, according to the weather etc. Being in a minibus was also a plus point and as a small group, we all got along well and enjoyed the experience together. A brilliant day!
Antonin(?) our tour guide was wonderful. We couldn’t go to one of the places on the tour because of the weather so he allowed extra time at others. We say a lot of waterfalls, black sand beaches, and glaciers.
This was basically a personalized tour; it was great to have such personal attention! I'm glad I chose this one!
Fantastic day out highly recommend this tour ,the driver been really friendly and knowledgable ,the minibus is very comfortable ,wi-fi on the board and charging points for phones is a bonus ,plenty of comfort stops ,we visited 4 waterfalls ,the black sand beach ,glaciers and stopped in Vic for lunch
We brought a group of 7 to Iceland last week and ended up booking multiple tours with Back to Iceland (Golden Circle and then Winter South Coast). On the Winter South Coast tour we lucked out and ended up with a private tour. Our guide, Antones, was knowledgeable, funny and well experienced to show us the sites. Because this became a private tour Antones gave us as much time as we wanted at each of the sites. Antones was in contact with other guides and was constantly checking the weather to ensure that we were able to safely travel. At one point we thought that we'd have to change plans but luckily we were able to see all of the sites. I highly recommend signing up for a tour with Back to Iceland and if you get Chris or Antones then you will have a fantastic adventure!
Found this tour relatively soon as an alternative plan for the day fell through. This tour was 10000x more enjoyable than others. To begin, the sprinter van was so much more comfortable than the other "minibus" of other tour companies which are so uncomfortable & offer no leg room or recline - this tour bus had both. Anton gave us more history and fun facts of Iceland than any other guide and it is so clear he loves his job and Iceland. We never felt rushed at any stop and there were multiple stops for coffee/restrooms throughout the journey. Again, everything was great but Anton was the best part. Great jokes on top of everything. I caught the "Iceland virus" and plan to utilize tours with back to Iceland. Thanks again for such a memorable day!
This day tour takes in the breathtaking sights of the southern coast of Iceland. We were incredibly lucky with the weather but the landscape would no doubt be just as stunning without sunshine. Antanas was a brilliant guide with a fantastically dry sense of humour. He kept us entertained with stories of his life in Iceland and maintained the same friendly energy from 8am right through to 6pm. Thank you for a fun day!
This tour was amazing, from the tour guide to the scenery. My sister and I booked this tour because we did not want to do a big bus tour; we ended up with a private tour as no one else booked for the same day. Our guide, Antanas, was great! He shared a lot of information about Iceland in general and about some of the volcanic events from the last 13 years. He even took a couple detours to show us some things not normally part of the tours. And the scenery! So breathtaking and amazing! Side note: if I had not already been impressed with this company that the tour was not cancelled when there were only two people booked, Antanas’s concern sealed the deal. I got sick just before we made it back to the hotel. Thankfully, he had plastic bags for trash in the car. He immediately pulled over and took care of the trash while my sister helped me. That went above and beyond. We are already talking about what other BTI tours we can take when we return to Iceland.
Amazing tour day. Our driver was so knowledgeable and gave us an amazing tour of the south coast. I would 100% recommend.
The small ground tour around Southern Iceland including our 4 people and one other couple. I was like a private tour. Chris, our guide, was wonderful! He took very good care of us and stopped for bathroom stops, food. He asked if we wanted to see another waterfall and it turned out to be the most beautiful one we saw on our trip. He had many stories to tell on the ride too. We would recommend this tour.
Had a great time on this tour, our driver Antonis was really great and gave lots of information throughout the day about the tour and Iceland in general (he does talk a lot, but lots of useful information). The minibus was comfortable, only 7 of us on the day, so we had even more room, and pick up was as described. The stop offs were well planned and we didn't feel rushed at all, I would highly recommend this trip. I have the virus he talks about, you'll understand this if you ever do a trip with Antonis :-)
Awesome ! The driver made the whole day. This is a must. Best way to see the south coast just sit back relax & enjoy
Superb trip and Anton the driver/guide/owner is superb and very knowledgeable. We visited lots of attractions and places of interest.
Very good guide, very knowledgeable, Picked you up at stated times and good communication before hand. Vehicle was very warm and clean, the guide couldn't do enough to make the trip fun. Would highly recommend this trip to anybody thinking of a tour. Well worth the 5 stars!
It was all superb and Anton was a superb knowledgeable guide for the day, transport was very comfortable
This was a great tour and Anton our guide and driver was just brilliant. Our first time in Iceland and we did a little research and could see others had written good reviews so we took the plunge and I can honestly say it was worth every penny and Anton was really enthusiastic, flexible and clearly loves his job. He drove us to some wonderful locations, explaining each one ion detail as well as providing us a fantastic insight into Icelandic history, culture and way of life etc. I thoroughly recommend this tour. Thanks Anton and we shall surely be back and look you up again. Regards Brendan and family.
From start to finish this day trip was exceptional. My wife and I travel alot and this day trip was full of great activities. Our driver was great and full of knowledge. He allowed us to call the shots on the trip as it how long we wanted at each activity, when we wanted to stop for breaks and extra time at lunch. I would highly recommend this travel co and this day trip.
We enjoyed it all. Waterfalls, black sand beach, glacier. Great intersesting guide Anton who did not rush anyone on the tour. He was a lot of fun.
If you find yourself reading reviews trying to find the best your company to book your Iceland trips with look no further! The weather can be very unpredictable in Iceland causing plans to change suddenly. We had booked the South Coast tour and Golden Circle tour via Back to Iceland tour company. Thankfully Back to Iceland were very accommodating and changed our tours around to different days so that we were still able to do both. We had tour guide Antanas for both trips. A great guide - funny, informative, flexible with time if able. There was the odd snowy blizzard (with very poor visibility on the roads!) during our trips and we always felt safe thanks to Antanas’ experienced driving. He was also prepared with crampons and ponchos should they be required. The tour itself is quite long approx 9 hours but we enjoyed every minute! Thank you 😊
The tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly. I learnt the most on this tour compared to others I had in Iceland during my stay.
Anton was a great guide. He gave us a lot of information about the places that we were visiting and Iceland in general. We were the only people in the group and he gave us a private tour without extra charge The places that we visited are breathtaking and probably the best things to see in Iceland
Excellent experience with Anton who was very nice and knowledgeable. He brought crampons for us to use and be safe. He was funny. It was a small group and that gave us more time to ask questions and explore the different places he was showing us ( so many and so hard to pronounce that I couldn’t remember the names but awesome places). Highly recommended.
The bus was comfortable, had a good vibe, and we felt safe the entire trip on the winter roads. Anton gave relevant information and provided (and put on) crampons. Bus had max capacity of 13 and the company seems to be owner operated so there is definitely a sense of pride and eagerness to please. The trip seems timed perfectly as we arrive at the first attraction at sunrise and end last attraction before sunset so we got to see all attractions listed. Would not hesitate to book again.
So helpful to have crampons provided for us. Our guide was prompt, helpful, and friendly. It was really nice being with a smaller group too. The waterfalls, black sand beach and glacier walk were great!
Even though the tour was limited due to closure of roads, it was the best experience during our one week visit to Iceland. Guide Anton was incredible.
