South Coast, Waterfalls And Vík Village From Reykjavik

Went on the South Coast Wonder tour with off-road buggying thrown in. The trip was truly fantastic. Volcanoes, glaciers, huge waterfalls, black beaches, and plane wrecks…all in one day. The tour guide Dori, was informative and friendly the whole way through and brought the trip to life with stories, living explanations, and Viking history! My buggy instructor, Jordy was the best. Told me exactly what to do and how to do it and then took off on a 2 hour thrill round the dunes and beaches. I’ll never forget it. We even got the perfect wet Icelandic weather for it. We plunged through rivers and puddles at max speed and max fun. Defo recommend…everything.

Awesome experience and a Dori was a great guide!

Despite terrible weather, overall was a brilliant day. Guide Dori was great, lots of knowledge and very interesting, sites were fantastic to see and not too crowded although I suspect much busier in summer! There are regular bathroom stops and places to buy food and drink. It would be useful to know in advance that a proper bus with the company logo collects you for transfer to bus station when you change to the coaches

The trip was everything you could possibly want, a great tour guide, idyllic sights and experiences that will last forever. There were amenities at every stop and it was a very packed tour. We learned a great deal about Iceland too!

We had two wonderful days exploring Iceland, visiting the South Coast and the Golden Circle. Our guide was the same on both days, which made the experience even more enjoyable. He was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging, sharing interesting insights and making each excursion memorable. A special mention also goes to our driver, who was professional, courteous and ensured a smooth and comfortable journey throughout. Both contributed greatly to making our Iceland experience so enjoyable. Highly recommended!

We went on this tour with our guide Kristjan. He really was the best! A true storyteller from Iceland that knows how to keep you entertained while you learn about everything. From local tales and Icelandic monsters stories to interesting local life insights. As for the places, wonderful experience, in my opinion time is exceptionally managed and everything is accurate. Definitely would recommend to anyone who prefer a guided tour. Hope you’re lucky enough to get Kristjan as your guide. Restos and WC available at every stop and the plugs to charge your phone in the bus are amazing!

It was a pleasure experience with Tour end the way it was organised, the only thing I would recommend to give additional 5 to 10 mins to every stop so that people get sufficient time for to take photos and going toilet

Great tour with really cool stops. Kristjan, our guide was super, and has a surprisingly good singing voice! Pierre (sp?) our driver was a true pro— smooth, maneuvering the bus like it was nothing. Long day (~10 hiurs) so be prepared, but well worth it. Highly recommended!

Eric and the driver were extraordinary and informative. A tour you won’t miss. Be prepared and have clothes that are waterproof, especially for the waterfall. We had an excellent time. The weather is changing rapidly from cloud to rain to sun.

I took South coast wonders tour from Reykjavik with Ritchie and Bjorn. It was fantastic and insightful. I really appreciate how Ritchie clearly communicated through out the journey. He is so knowledgeable and have us detailed insights into all the places we visited during the tour. I definitely recommend this tour and the tour guides.

The tour was fantastic! The guide had a nice playlist with songs to many of the visited places, movies that were shot on the south coast and many many good and bad but good jokes!

My husband and I had the best time on this day trip! The perfect amount of downtime on the bus and sights seen. Perfect for many different ages. As well as a great cost for what you get! Eric and our driver were fantastic in making us feel comfortable and safe the entire time. We will be recommending this to all of our family wanting to visit.

This tour was exceptional, a truly amazing and unforgettable experience. Eric was a fantastic tour guide, super knowledgeable, funny and we felt very safe following his guidance. Our whole journey felt safe and smooth, despite some tricky weather conditions, thanks to Pawel’s excellent driving. This was an incredible tour with a fantastic guide. Eric was the absolute best! What a wonderful guide. And Pawel was an excellent driver. I never felt like I didn't have enough time at any of the stops or felt rushed. I highly recommend this tour. One thing to note: we waited for a bus to pick us up at bus stop #12. That bus then took us to some bus terminal where we boarded a bigger bus. By the time we got to the bigger bus, it was just about full; my friends and I sat in different seats. Just keep that in mind.

Well organised tour. Margaret was our tour guide who gave us running local commentary the whole day (10.5hr day), and Magnusson was our driver. Both did an amazing job despite bad weather & some very rude tourists in the bus. Magnificent views, loved the black beach near Vik & the waterfalls were amazing.

Trip was excellent, guide was helpful and informative. Gave lots of help and made the trip enjoyable. My tip would be to have a plan of the bus and people write phone numbers across their seats, one per party would do. That way when/if people are late back they could be contacted rather than the poor guide having to go off and look for them. This could be shredded at the end of the trip for gdpr. Would definitely book again through this company.

The itinerary is really amazing, but the time given for each stops was too short, especially in some of them. Moreover our guide cuold have been more kind.

Hershey was a great guide! The bus was comfortable, and the stops were well timed and Hershey explained a lot about history, the specific info around each stop, and made the whole day a really value added highlight of our trip!

Mikki was brilliant, very knowledgeable and kept us on time. Overall the itinary worked really well, with enough time between stops to catch your breath and plan the next one. Note our family included a 1 and 7 year old, both of whom had a fantastic time.

Despite of the bad mood of the old lady driver Anna the trip was worth it, due to the incredible views we could share this day. The guide made his best to make our day unforgettable. I hope next time Anna will behave like a human being.

We had a fantastic day on the South Coast with Leifur as our driver and guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and relaxed, and shared great stories about Iceland's history, volcanoes and local life along the way. We saw Seljalandsfoss in beautiful late-afternoon light, with a rainbow in the spray, and walked on the black sand beach, where he kept us safe by explaining the dangers of the waves. He drove smoothly and confidently in changing weather, picked good stops and gave us plenty of time for photos without rushing us. Highly recommended, and ask for Leifur if you can!

Lovely guide, lovely scenery, lovely experience!

This was another great day trip from Reykjavik. Fabulous scenery— coastal views, waterfalls, a glacier. Bus driver was very safe. Tour guide (Christian), a native Icelander, made it special with interesting historical and current-events context, practical guidance at each stop including lunch area options, and he sang an Icelandic song learned as a child. We’re very happy we chose this tour. // Family from New York.

I liked the Tour. The guide was quite enjoyable too. The stops were scenic. The only thing I would criticise is time. The time on the stops are enough to take the pictures and use the restrooms but you can’t take in the beauty of the nature. Maybe 10 more minutes at each stop would have been better.

Enjoyed the sights and stories the guide told. I only wish we had more time at each location. This should be a 2 day tour instead of 1 so more time could be spent for those who want to go up the stairs at Skogafoss or behind Seljalandsfoss.

Wonderful experience of Iceland

Mikki was very knowledgeable about the area and kept us safe and on schedule. Make sure to have waterproof clothes, going behind the waterfall is fantastic and very wet.
