South Coast, Waterfalls And Black Beach Tour From Reykjavik

Our tour guide Dory was spectacular. He was friendly and very informative. I had a great time, amazing tour.

Might be helpful to read short history of Iceland to be able to follow tour guide and to understand fully the story. It absolutely interesting and you will learn a lot during this trip. Our tour guide Laufer was giving us all helpful information and he was making sure we are safe not to go too far or too close to some area. I am grateful for all of his amazing stories. He also spotted Northen Lights and stopped the van so we can take few photos before arriving back to the city. Highly recommending Laufer and I hope he gets appropriate raise.

Tour was very nice with excellent guide and driver. Could have used a bit more time at a few stops and maybe less time at the lunch stop. Overall a beautiful day with amazing scenery and sites.

Places are amazing! Watch out to the waves at Reynisfjara and don't forget to wear a good hardshell. It was the best tour of my life!

You will be on the coach a long time before reaching the first experience. But it is well worth the journey. The black sand beach and the waterfalls are so beautiful, you feel your on a different planet. Incredible views, fantastic tour guides/drivers.

Really lovely trip with our tour guide Kristjan and driver Magnus. We explored lots of amazing places of Iceland. Really well organised trip. Our tour guide had been very friendly and informative throughout the whole trip, and made our long drives between places very pleasant and enjoyable. Can definitely recommend.

The South Coast was beautiful, and the guides were friendly and welcoming. I especially enjoyed hearing the history along the way! The only thing I would change is how the time was divided between stops. Personally, I would have preferred a shorter stop at the black sand beach and lunch at the later shopping stop, which had more restaurant options. The beach restaurant had long lines and was quite expensive. I also would have loved more time at the waterfalls instead of a separate shopping break. At the first waterfall, I wanted to explore the nearby waterfall too, but there wasn’t enough time. For me, those extra minutes enjoying nature would have made the tour even better. Otherwise, it was a lovely experience!

It was a really great tour and we had plenty of time to see the sights. The sights were breathtaking. Great value for the tour. Kristjan was a great guide and was very engaging and informative. Magnus was a great driver. It was nice to stop at a supermarket in Vix which had cheaper prices than in the city. There’s also a liquor store across the street. We loved seeing sheep and Icelandic horses on the drive. Plenty of places to use the washroom as well.

This was an excellent tour! Saw lots of sights in a timely fashion. Our travel guides and driver, Gudjon Jes and Maggi K were friendly and awesome!

The tour guide was excellent. We really enjoyed all the sights and the scenery. However, it was a very long day and didn't get back to our hotel until 8pm.

Really nice tour, you get to see so much. Tony was great and we learned so much! The only cons were that the bus was jammed packed (with a screaming child) and there was a last minute lunch detour to Reynisfyara rest stop rather than in Vik as originally planned, which I had really been looking forward to. The rest stop at the beach was super crowded and wildly expensive- really had been looking forward to exploring Vik a bit more. Overall would recommend- really good value compared to renting a car.

Our tour guide Gudjon Jes Blazej was fantastic. He was funny and made everything interesting with his jokes. Best tour guide we had in iceland

This experience was a great one. Driver was extremely knowledgeable about Icelandic history and the sites. He gave us ample time to explore the sites and was very friendly.

Gunnar Ra was a great guide and driver. Very welcoming and informative. He managed to arrange the tour so that we just beat the larger crowds at each stop.

Overall the tour was nice and very knowledgeable tour guide the only comment I have is the driver did not properly dropped us off to our hotel instead we need to walk and crossed the street to reach and walked to our Hotel

This tour hit some of the previous spots we saw on a south coast tour we did the day before, but with the weather changes the landscape looked different. The glacier on this tour wasn’t as stunning as Vatnajokull, but it was still nice to see. The black beach was incredible but a little scary as people did not head the warnings and got close to the sneaker waves. Several people got yelled at. Overall, it was a great experience.

Love it, very good tour and a very nice experience. He knew what he was talking about and enjoyed what he did.

The itinerary is good but packed … and so are the seats on the coach! The seat rows don’t have enough space between them which makes it uncomfortable for a 10 1/2 hour journey. There are so many people on the coach that it takes time to disembark at each stop and there is quite limited time at each stop as it is (a trade-off for being able to see that many places in one day). I would probably recommend a small group version of this tour , even if it costs more

It’s a long 10 hours but if the weather is good it’s well worth it. Bring snacks and be prepared to walk quickly - the breaks are short but enough time. Our driver Tomas z and Gunnar R were both professional and caring.

The scenery going and coming was amazing our guide John was very knowledgeable and hilarious. We went on a Sunday so it was too busy.

Have a places we just have 30 minutes (waterfall), that is enough! But for stop launching always we have a 50 minutes(((

Had a wonderful tour of the south coast of Iceland with our tour guide Rich and driver Pavel. Saw many amazing sights, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend when visiting Iceland!

This tour was fantastic! We had such a great tour guide, Unnur Maria, who taught us so much about Iceland and its people and its geology as well! She made our journey so enjoyable and educational!! Our driver, Pavel, took great care in getting us to all of the sites on this tour. He was a very safe driver and a lovely person, as well! We give this tour a 10/10 and suggest that you book it because you’ll have a wonderful time!

We had an amazing trip - our guide, Gunnar (Dr G) was super knowledgeable and very informative, as well as having a fantastic sense of humour. We saw the most beautiful sites, Gunnar gave great photo stop recommendations, and our driver Reynir was also excellent. A must for those that want to explore natural Iceland outside Reykjavik!

This was an amazing adventure. Was able to see all the main areas of Iceland on our list. Raining a lot but the tour guy and bus driver brought us to areas of less rain in the area first and then back to the other spots so we were able to see all the sights and take amazing pictures

I had a fantastic time with our guide Richie and driver Mikki - they were fantastic! A long tour, Richie kept us entertained and was incredibly knowledgeable about geology, history, pop culture - you name it. Mikki was incredibly patient and drove us all safe and sound. I came on this tour alone and enjoyed every moment of it! Definitely wear waterproof clothes - they’re needed. Special shout out to the great playlist from Richie!!

The best experience ever!! The driver and guide were so kind and gave much information. There was plenty of time at each stop and the bus was comfortable.

This was a wonderful tour of the South Coast! Our guide Richie truly made this a memorable experience, as he was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful playlist to keep us entertained while driving past scenic views. We learned about the geology of Iceland, and saw so many waterfalls. We were searching for a tour that would allow a good amount of time in Vik, which we found with this tour. We had lunch in Vik, and had time to walk around a bit.

Our guide Richie and driver mikki both were amazing, it was a long day but they were really amazing even when some people on the bus wanted a different drop off location. Also amazingly beautiful places we went. Just a suggestion that if stop at black sand beach could be longer because lunch place over there was better than at Vik. Vik has more options though.

A fantastic opportunity to see the southern coast of Iceland which shows you two volcanos which are due to erupt as it is has been some time since they have. Black beach was beautiful a must see and some beautiful waterfalls

This is an excellent tour. Our tour guide Richi and driver Magnus were amazing and helped to make it a most memorable day. I have never had a tour guide curate the music in the bus to go along with the sights. There were just so many of these little extra things that added to the experience. The glacier, the waterfalls, Black Diamond beach and the geiser helped provide us with an Icelandic experience. Would recommend.

Very good and informative tour

A long but amazing day. We encountered heavy snow and a blizzard but all the sights were still amazing. We particularly enjoyed the walk to the glazier. Coach was very comfortable and warm on a cold and snowy day. Glad we did not hire a car and booked a coach tour. Albert ( tour guide) was very knowledgable and friendly

My sister and I loved this tour. Our tour guide was Gunnar, and he was incredible. We had a gas station stop shortly into the tour which allowed us to get coffee, a pastry and make a bathroom run. We went to Skógafoss, Vik, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, Solheimajokull Glacier and then ended with Seljalandfoss. The itinerary felt well planned and I felt we had enough time at each stop. Vik is where we stop for lunch and there was enough time and food options. My only advice is dress appropriately, Iceland weather can be unpredictable.

Horrible....we waited in hotel lobby due to rain....had my 88 yr old father with us...he has mobility issues..walks slow with cane....we were in lobby....no one from transportation company came in.....waited 30 minutes....called company and was told that the driver came to hotel...we missed our adventure all because of a lazy driver....guess they didn't want to get wet ??? We missed our trip and are out the $400 + .... W Very unprofessional, especially when the driver should of had our names and the number of people that they are to pick up at each location !!!! He also should of had our phone number as it is given when you book a trip !!! No call...no come into hotel....a complete disgrace....Horrible lack of service...sent email to travel provider.....no response....asked for refund....crickets
