I had an amazing daytrip from Reykjavik. Bjork was my guide, he was amazing, funny, shared tips and educational information about the Icelandic culture, towns that we were navigating through a local recommendations. I really enjoy having the family. Made lunch provided by the tour. Bjork made the tour group feel like a little family. I had an extremely experience, and I will totally recommend.

We will pay a visit to a seal colony that can be seen throughout the whole year.
We will stop at the horse farm for lunch, where you can also see some beautiful horses.
We stop in the old hamlet of Buðir to see one of the few black churches in the country, painted with pitch.

Uniquely-formed remnants of ancient basalt volcanic dikes sticking out from the sea.
It is a beautiful pebbled beach, with a series of rocks of mysterious form emerging from the ocean. We'll see the rests of a shipwreck on the beach, as well as big stones which people tried to lift and test their strength in the days of the fishing stations.
With its 463 meters, Kirkjufell (Church Mountain) is one of the most photographed mountains in Iceland, also known as “Arrow Head Mountain” on Game of Thrones.
We will drive by Bersekjahraun lava fields. Created around 4.000 years ago, the lava fields are extremely thick and decorated with beautiful rock formations.

Guide was knowledgeable and personable, trip was outstanding, lunch was great, there’s not much more I could have asked for.
I highly recommend this company for small group tours and especially Roger, our driver/guide/storyteller/entertainer. We were lucky enough to have Roger twice in our tour adventures and he couldn’t have made it a better experience. The homemade lunch was amazing as was meeting the Icelandic horses. The landscape was breathtaking that even the bits of rain couldn’t dampen our spirits. We even had a bonus of Northern Lights at the end of our tour.
Slavi our guide was very entertaining and very informative we had a great memories from this tour and so much fun and the food was superb- not his fault but one future suggestion is that for comfort of sensitive individuals like us to ask east west tour guests not to use strong perfumes (because one guest smelled like he broke an entire bottle of cologne in the bus which distracted from our otherwise pleasant tour)
Very well organized and well paced. Amazing views! Our guide, Martin, was excellent. Very knowledgeable abd passionate about Iceland!
We have about 17 travelers. The driver also serves as the tour guide. Lunch was very special, and the scenery was amazing! Definitely recommend.
An amazing day. Firstly, our guide Leroy was exceptional. Polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. The day was well organised and we had ample time at each spot. I particularly liked the attention to detail of the pick up. I received an email 30 minutes before pick up with a description of the bus, the registration number, and name of the driver. This is very helpful when the pick up points are busy and multiple minibuses are stopping. I highly recommend both the company and Leroy!
Had a blast on the tour. Leroy did a great job of keeping us entertained, giving us the full context into every spot we visited, and in being extremely timely and organized. Would highly recommend
Had a great tour with Leroy! Loved seeing all the sites, everything was beautiful. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared tons of stories & facts from the areas. The lunch at the house farm was great!
Simon (a.k.a. the spicy Viking) was an excellent guide with a terrific sense of humour. He was full of information on various aspects of Iceland. He really set the tone by telling us some of the myths and stories of Iceland. We had lots of time to spend at each location and he threw in some extra visits also. He constantly made sure that we were comfortable, asked if we had any questions, checked up to see that we were having a good time. The lunch was delicious also! I wouldn’t hesitate to use EastWest the future tours and would highly recommend them.
This was such a wonderful experience! Our guide, Roger, was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful!!! He made the tour fun and exciting! Every stop had its magic! My fav was the lunch!!! OMG, everything was homemade! It was a buffet style with chicken, lamb, and vegetarian options. I bless the lady’s hands! I’m sooooo happy I choose this tour. Definitely recommend and it’s adequate for solos, couples, and families with children.
A dull day long boring and tedious road trip through one of Iceland’s penínsulas with 20 or 30 minutes stops that not the most impressive landscapes visited are worth your time or your money.
This tour was amazing! David was an excellent guide, the pickup and drop off went smoothly. The views were amazing and the stop at the horse farm made it unforgettable. Worth every cent!
Tho tour was amazing. The peninsula offers so many different parts that represent Iceland. We visited waterfalls, black sand beach, saw seals, ate at a local farm house l, visited with their horses and topped it off w Snaefellsness mountain from GOT. Our guide David was so helpful providing information about everything and willing to take pics ! Definitely a must do experience.
ROGER guided us on the most rainy day we had in Iceland. He had us laughing the whole way. We especially enjoyed the horse farm and home cooked meal and the rock formations along the shoreline. I hope you go on this tour and that, better yet, you have the chance to go with Roger with EastWest Tours
Today, we visited the Snæfellsnes Peninsula with our guide, Oscar. Everything was absolutely beautiful, but the true added value was definitely Oscar himself, who constantly took great care of all of us. He shared detailed explanations of everything we were about to see, always adding fascinating insights and curious anecdotes. With his constant smile, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm, it felt as though he was experiencing the tour for the very first time right alongside us! We finished the tour enriched with new stories and full of happiness.
We did the Snaefellsnes small group tour and had the best time! We saw beautiful sights and had a great authentic cooked Icelandic meal. Our guide, Roger N., was also amazing! He was funny, friendly, and made sure to go out of his way to make sure we were comfortable on the van. During the drive, he told us stories about old folk tales, history, and fun facts about the locations. He was very engaging and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time and definitely recommend!
We had an amazing tour of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula with Einar! At this point in our trip, we had already been on two other tours, and Einar truly made this one magical. He was such a wonderful guide, with great conversation, fascinating Iceland facts, plenty of banter, and just an overall great personality. He made the experience feel fun, relaxed, and personal, while showing us some incredible parts of Iceland. I highly recommend anyone looking to see more of Iceland take advantage of this tour. If you get Einar as your guide, you’re in for a truly memorable experience!
We had a wonderful trip! Mona was our tour guide! She was amazing!!! She even helped me when I was having motion sickness! She had great music! She did a great job telling us details along the way about what we were seeing and the history. Snaefellness Tour, waterfalls, scenic hike! We enjoyed our walk on the Black Sand Beach! Amazing!! Loved the horse farm with delicious food!! We even saw a double rainbow, and felt like we were going under it as she drove. It was a long day, but we got a lot in! Thank you sooo much Mona!! You’re the best 🙂!!!
Great way to see that part of Iceland. Martin was a great and knowledgeable guide. Lunch at the horse farm was memorable.
Excellent experience. Highly recommend this tour.
Great tour and tour guide, more personal experience than other tours in Reykjavíc since groups are smaller. Everything went smoothly, guide was very friendly and clear and a had a very good experience. Nice car too!
We have gone on many tours over the years in different countries and this was one of the tops we have been on. One of the reasons was because of Leroy. Wow. What an incredible job he did. So knowledgeable, and a real joy to spend time with. He is someone you definitely have to keep on board. Leroy thank you. Bill and Amy G
We enjoyed our trip with our tour guide Smari. He kept us on time so we hit all of the locations and got to enjoy our time at each location. It’s a long day but worth it.
Martin was a rock star and gave use every chance to get go photos and some knowledge along the way.
Martine was an excellent driver who gave great information WITHOUT talking our ears off. The stops were great with amazing scenery!
EastWest Einar Review 9-17 (Thursday) 8:30 am Snaefellsness Peninsula in a small group tour with home-cooked meal included. We just completed the Snaefellsness Peninsula in a small group tour with home-cooked meal included with our Guide - Einar. The full day of fun was packed with so much adventure on the Western Fjords. Einar presented Icelandic history, Norse Mythology, fun facts about Iceland and how he became a Tour Guide. Throughout our day trip, Einar gave us advance notice of when and where we will take breaks, get snacks and drinks to help us enjoy our day. Einar is an excellent host and representative of Iceland. We ended our visit to Iceland on a very high note and most memorable experience!
Einar was amazing, knowlegeable, and fun. And he knows how to find all the rainbows of Iceland. Ty Einar for a safe fun day!
The sprinter van was quite comfortable during the long journey and the nature was amazing. The guide, Oscar, was super knowledgeable, professional, and conscientious, and I learned a bunch of interesting facts about Snæfellsness but also Icelandic life in general. It's a long day on the road but I didn't lack anything. The only thing that could've improved the day was being able to see Snæfellsjökul. (The Jules Verne mountain). Alas, the cloud gods didn't have that in store for us.
Beautiful country. Tour guide informative and entertaining.Good pacing . Wonderful lunch at horse farm.
The tour was wonderful! Our guide Simon the spicy Viking was very entertaining throughout the trip. He set a comfortable pace incorporating good bathroom stops. The variety of landscapes accompanied by the delicious homemade meal at the Lysuholl horse farm made this tour highly memorable!
This was an ideal day of recovery after doing the Laugavegar hike. Each sight was a treasure. It was nice to walk by the sea at the beach. Lunch at the horse farm was excellent! Simon P hot Chile played great tunes and managed the day perfectly.
Beautiful views of nature - even though we thought we had seen it all on golden circle and southern coast. Stunning. Our guide Mona was superb with explaining What we were seeing and making sure everyone was comfortable. She played great music from Iceland and never left us wondering what to expect or what we were seeing or experiencing. A cut above the other guides.
Leroy was a fantastic tour guide! He made the long drives interesting and fun! I've done many tours and Leroy stands out as one of the best!
Great overview of the peninsula. We lucked out with good weather. Only the glacier was covered by clouds. Leroy was an excellent guide.
Leroy was humorous, knowledgeable, and kept us very well informed of what to anticipate throughout the trip. Organization and communication are his strong points. We appreciated his insights into the culture of Iceland, and his patience with our many questions. He’s a great driver and we always felt safe. Highly recommend the tour and the tour guide.
Simon the spicy monster was a most gracious and knowledgeable guide.
Our most excellent guide, Mona P, took us to all the interesting sights along the Snasnaefellsnes Peninsula. This gal loves her job, and it shows. She was a wealth of knowledge, kept us entertained, and gave us wonderful insights into the past and current everyday lives of the locals, with good recommendations for local cuisine and other must-see sights. Fully recommend.
This was an excellent tour to see another area of Iceland. It was well paced. Our tour guide Martin did a very good job of explaining the legends and history tied to the places we visited. The lunch at the farm was abundant.
I highly recommend this day trip. Our guide (“Simon”) was wonderful. The tour combined natural wonders with history. The lunch stop provided an opportunity to see Icelandic horses up close. The food was good!
What a great tour with EastWest through the west portion of Iceland. 🇮🇸 Group was small with only 7 others, the vehicle clean and new. The scenery was spectacular, but what made the tour special was how our guide, Simon, took great care to share stories, insights and small details along the way. He joined us as we took in the sights, making us feel as though we were spending the day with a friend. Highly recommend EastWest as a smaller, more personal alternative to the larger tour companies.
First and foremost, Leroy was a fantastic tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we were visiting and gave us some interesting history and legend/saga background about the places we visited. He also was very friendly and pleasant to talk to, and happy to answer any questions we had throughout the day. If you do the Snæfellsnes tour, I would recommend trying to sit on the right side of the vehicle, as that will give much better views throughout the day. There is one seat on that side per row, however. I would recommend this tour for anyone who likes scenic places and doesn't mind being in a vehicle for multiple hours.
Gon was a warm, welcoming and enthusiastic host. His narrative and music program made the rides between sites a pleasure. This tour has some long driving…90 minutes. He kept the car quiet and respected our need to relax on the almost two hour drive drive back to Reykjavík. He personally helped me greatly by arranging to let me overcome a missed pickup by letting me join him at the first stop, still in town. He is an outstanding driver and host.
We had a great day out. Our guide EW David was brilliant. He even changed the tyre when our minibus got a flat, then kept to the itinerary too, meaning he had a longer day to work. Being English, his spoken English was obviously perfect, which made things easier for us. The meal was good - plenty of variety and delicious. We saw many beautiful and interesting sights. My only slight gripe was that I could have done with a bit more legroom on the minibus (I have long legs!)
The trip was a unique as it was filled with first time seeing Iceland country side, Lava Fields, beautiful beaches and scenic mountain ranges. Simon Spicy Viking, made the trip wonderful with excellent narration of each location and answering all questions in a detailed and humorous way. Ofcourse very helpful at each stopping location with guidance to the faciltiies.
OMG. Simon the hot Wiking, you so made even this trip with your not-so-good jokes and stories (yes, that was just a joke, you were and are still hilarious! 🤗). The trip itself got a sunny and warm day, and it was very nice to see how this side of the island looked like. And I have to say, Snæfellsnes Peninsula won over the South Coast 🤭 All in all, the group size was perfect, and there was actually nothing that went bad. This was a perfect trip! Thank you!
Had an incredible inspiring day, every stop was magical. Guide Simon Spicy Viking is the best, very insightful, made additional exciting stops, and has amazing positive energy. Music the best!
This was a long, but informative day with great stops , and of course amazing scenery. Einar was extremely helpful, patient and had a wonderful sense of humour. I had some mobility issues and he made sure to direct me to the easier paths. The peninsula is beautiful. Thanks for a great experience and a wonderful guide.
The Snæfellsnes peninsula tour with Einar was such a wonderful tour. Einar gave us a lot of fun Iceland knowledge and I loved all the stops we made. The views were stunning! We had enough time at each stop. The homemade lunch was a nice touch. I would highly recommend this tour!
