Two friends and I (60-year old women) went on this tour during the last week of October. The guide did not engage much with the participants and had a very poor attitude. He did not provide much information about the sights along the way and at one point when a customer asked about the trails to take at our stop he responded "I don't give a sh*t" I was first back to the bus at one of our stops and he explained the reason for the shape of basalt columns. I said the rest of the group would likely enjoy hearing that explanation and he say "nah". Nothing was shared with the group. This guide drove very recklessly - speeding and overtaking cars, changing lanes without indicating, snorting something off his hand and wiping brown drippings from his nose when driving at high speeds and talking on his cell phone all at the same time. My friends and I did not feel safe in the vehicle with his terrible driving and were very disappointed in the overall experience with the lack of information provided and his apathetic attitude and comments.

Itinerary
The journey starts by kicking off North through the famous tunnel under the Whale Fjord. After a scenic drive bus stops for short break in the town of Borgarnes laying on the small peninsula.
Within a short drive from Borgarnes the true magic of Snæfellsnes Peninsula begins. Yti-tunga is a charming farm with nearby beach housing seal colony. Perfect place for animal lovers!
Búðakirkjan Black Church is by many considered the most beautiful church in Iceland.
A natural harbor surrounded by stunning landscapes. Beautiful rock formations decorate the coastline, spotted with green-and-yellow moss. Here one can stroll along the cliffs and take a perfect picture or simply enjoy the atmosphere of remote fishing village.
This is the place where two basalt columns mark the coast, so they can be even seen from the road. This is also another perfect stop for animal lovers - cliffs are famous of being house to many species of birds and air is filled with their sounds
Gorgeous black beach located within boarders of Snæfellsjökull National Park. While walking along the black sand beach one can find a curiosity on the beach: four large lifting stones used to measure the strength of fishermen you used to live in the area.
In order to reach the northern part of the peninsula tour will take you on the ride around Snæfellsjökull Strato-Volcano, one of the most powerful ones in Iceland (luckily not active these days) covered by the glacier cap.
Kirkjufell (Church Mountain) accompanied by Kirkjufoss (Church Waterfall) is one the most known and picture-perfect location in Iceland. It got a lot of international attention after being featured in many Hollywood and TV productions - like in Games of Throne just to start with.

Excellent, memorable trip to Iceland made possible by Nice travel. Special thanks to Kristof and Thorey- both were amazing guides cum drivers who were quite knowledgeable and funny. Will highly recommend.
This was a wonderful trek around Snaefellsnes mountain and the peninsula. Our guide Hinrik was a delightful personality. He started the journey by telling us about the Icelandic saying “It is not necessarily going to go wrong”. Then he proceeded to give a tour that went right. He regaled us with facts we would have never found on our own. He DJ’ed the trip with Icelandic musicians and kept us on time for all the stops. He and the Nice Travel team exceeded our expectations. The journey is a full day and you will be tired at the end. You will be happy you took in the sites on the tour.
We were incredibly grateful to have Christina as our guide for a full-day tour of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Without a doubt, she was the standout guide of our Iceland trip and one of the reasons we left Iceland with such wonderful memories. From the very beginning, Christina was an excellent communicator. She contacted us ahead of time through WhatsApp/iMessage with our exact pickup time, and once we got on the bus, she promptly made sure everyone knew the Wi-Fi password and was comfortable and safe. She even showed us a clever trick for extending the seats, which made a big difference during a long day of travel. What really stood out was her knowledge and passion. Christina is a local Icelander, and it showed. She was extremely knowledgeable about the destinations and shared fascinating information about Icelandic history, geology, waterfalls, mountains, and the landscapes we were seeing along the way. Her explanations were organized, engaging, and easy to follow. You could tell that she genuinely loves her country and loves sharing it with visitors. She was also incredibly attentive to the little things. She helped passengers find the best angles for their photographs and made sure everyone had opportunities to get great pictures. She even made sure we stopped at clean bathrooms where we didn't have to pay to use the restroom. Yes, on another tour with a different guide, we actually had to pay to use a bathroom! One of the most impressive things about Christina was how responsive she was to her passengers' interests. When some passengers mentioned their disappointment about not seeing the Northern Lights, Christina immediately went into action. She checked the local forecast as well as the weather and cloud forecasts so everyone could make an informed decision about whether to join a Northern Lights tour or try seeing them around downtown Reykjavík. She didn't simply give an opinion—she gave people the information they needed to make their own decision. But what truly showed us what kind of person Christina is happened the following day. We were on a different NiceTravel tour to the South Coast, with a different guide. Around 7 PM, we were still stuck on the South Coast and becoming increasingly worried that we would not make it back to Reykjavík in time for our scheduled Northern Lights tour with EastWest Travel. Christina wasn't even our guide that day, yet she had texted us to ask if we were ready for the Northern Lights. When we told her we were still stuck on the South Coast and worried about missing our tour, she immediately stepped in to help. She contacted EastWest Travel, communicated with them on our behalf, and helped rearrange our pickup location so that we could make it in time. That was far beyond what we could have expected from a tour guide. She didn't have to do any of that. We weren't even on her tour that day. She simply cared enough to help. Thanks to Christina's kindness and quick thinking, we made it just in time—and we were rewarded with an incredible Northern Lights show that became the perfect finale to our Iceland trip. Christina is warm, caring, knowledgeable, articulate, and genuinely passionate about Iceland and its nature. She goes above and beyond for her passengers, and her care feels completely genuine rather than simply part of the job. Christina would be a great asset in training other guides. She represents the level of professionalism, knowledge, communication, and hospitality that we believe a great Iceland tour guide should have. She is the real deal. If you have the opportunity to take a tour with her, consider yourself lucky. We certainly do. Thank you, Christina, for making our Iceland experience even more special. We hope to return to Iceland someday—and when we do, we would absolutely love to join one of Christina's tours again!
Our tour guide addi made our day very special despite the weather, he was extremely knowledgeable about every stop we made !! Another amazing trip had by us both .jon & Kathryn Bedford xxxx
The guide and trip are both very nice! Addi is very friendly and professional during the whole trip. Recommend to everyone!
Day full of discoveries g different faces of Island. Thanks to Addi also many interesting news about the country and its inhabitants. Good job!
The one day tour is brilliant and I saw many views. The guide is patient and nice 👍
Reasonable arrangement. There are plenty of time to visit the spot and take photos. The driver introduced a lot interesting stories about iceland.
Our Guide/Driver Monica? was great. Really enjoyed the trip and Monica's dialog along the way!
Although the weather wasn't the greatest, Bartosz our guide made sure that we got to see the best views of the locations as was possible. A good tour and well worth the effort.
We deeply thank our tour guider and driver Maria for her kindness, friendly, patience and care in this long day service.
Philip was a great guide. He talked just enough and allowed us to see the sights. His music was great and aligned great with the tour. Great job Philip!
Maria was a wonderful guide on an incredible day trip. I saw and learned so much about Iceland. Maria avoided the rain clouds and the large tour buses throughout the day. Highly recommended.
everything is just perfect!all the points are beautiful!
María was an extraordinary guide. What a wonderful tour. Recommend you anyone any age.
Perfect way to see the area if you only have one day. Pace is quick but still sufficient time at each stop to see the beautiful scenery. Bear our guide was professional, engaging and funny. He provided great information about geology, history and local lore. Always made sure we were comfortable and having fun! I combined this with the Silver Circle/Canyon Bath tour with overnight in Borganes.
This was my first tour I have ever taken and let me say I don’t know if I can ever get one to tops it. First off the price for what you get is CRAZY good! I’m gonna be 100% honest, I didn’t even look at all the locations we were going or know what half were and I was in shock with how perfect it was and how much I got to see. Second, we got the best and kindest tour guide ever, Bjarki. He is so clearly passionate about what he does and made sure we were comfortable, had enough time, and bathroom breaks for our duration. His knowledge is impeccable and he was so easy to talk to and ask questions. I would go on another tour with him in a heartbeat! For everything I saw today, I’m in shock and will go away with such a memory that I’ll never forget. An all day experience, that they pick you up and drop you right at your stay. Overall, I would recommend this tour to ANYONE especially for first timers in Iceland !! (The photos aren’t uploading unfortunately but I will try to add later cause it was that incredible)
It was fine weather and our guides added some stops gave great info and advice and made the day a real pleasure.
Our tour was during a bright sunny, clear day, which enhanced the views of glaciers and walks to the beaches. Otherwise a cloudy, rainy day would degrade the visual experience.
Anastasia our guide was amazing and professional
This was our second trip using Nice this week as the first one was so good with no problems . Again. The whole day was really enjoyable. Plenty of sights and stops. Bart was a superb host. Careful driver, full of knowledge and friendly. Nice periods of time when we could gaze out the windows and enjoy Iceland.
I've spend a great day visting Snæfellsnes with my guide Bart. It is a long day but every stop and visit were worth it! If you don't have a car or don't want to drive all day, this excursions is a must!!
We have the excellent guide and he has good driving skills. The spots are well chosen.
Excellent. The guide is absolutely professional, sharing various kinds of knowledge, stories and fun facts with us, making the tour a unique experience. It is suitable not only for families, but also for solo travelers. The planning time for each spots is ideal. The tour is overall worth the price.
Great experience with sir Barts
I cannot say enough good things about this tour and our tour guide Kristoff . They did an outstanding job. We have had experience with one of Nice Travels competitors, and Nice is so much better. Personal, friendly, informative and very competitive on pricing. Nice Travel has my highest recommendation, and I hope you get Kristoff.
Anastasia was an amazing tour guide, very well organized and the bus was comfortable. Gave us sufficient time at each stop without feeling like excessive time.
Excellent tour. Our driver was fantastic and provided some great insight into the area and background on the Vikings, etc.
We had the best time on our Snæfellsnes Tour! Our guide, Gulli was both knowledgeable and humorous. We’ve done a few tours with different companies during our time in Iceland, but this one was by far our favorite. We felt well taken care of. The whole day went smoothly. The sites we saw were breathtaking. At our stop at the beautiful coastline of Músagjá my boyfriend got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. The only thing that could’ve made it more special is if it had been our tour guide Gulli who had asked, but unfortunately he’s already married 😭 Maybe for the future as his explaining the history of what makes each location significant Gulli can at least mention that Nathan and Angela got engaged here and everybody should clap! But in all seriousness, Gulli was an incredible guide! We wouldn’t hesitate to book additional tours with NiceTravel Iceland as a result of our tour experience with Gulli as our guide! P.S. if you’re thinking about proposing the Músagjá coastline has a 100% success rate (as far as we know)
Super fun experience! Gulli was an awesome guide. Funny. Intelligent. Personable. Helped make this experience life changing. Would book this tour, or any tour, if Gulli were my guide!!
Bartosz , our driver/guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the sights we visited. Bus was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.
We spent the day in rain, but every part of this trip was perfect. Our guide/driver, David, was the absolute best. From the very beginning of the tour, guest satisfaction was his #1 priority. The length at each of the stops was perfect. David’s suggestions on how to get the most out of each destination were on point. I would highly suggest this tour for all ages.
David was a great guide, drove like he had nothing to lose aswell.
Our tour guide Vlad, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. He was an extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing the area. Highly recommend!
Great experience with our guide Filip. He was very informative about our visits to the various locations and had a great sense of the history of the island. His commentary was supplemented by music that related to the particular topic. Overall very worthwhile.
Phillip was funny, interesting and very helpful. He made a playlist that tied into the plethora of facts that he gave us about the landscape, language, history etc.! He was energetic and seemed to genuinely enjoy what he was doing despite the fact that the tour was 12 hours long, door to door. He gave us important info that a friend would, “of the 2 places, I would recommend this because ….” “You can use the restroom here but you could wait 15 minutes to use a proper bathroom at our next destination.” He gave us horse food so the horses would like us then gave us hand sanitizer for our dirty hands. He is a funny and well prepared professional.
Beautiful area and more quiet than south side. Tour operator was on time and easy to find. Great communication throughout the tour especially with bathroom and food breaks. She maximized our time at each location and pointed out interesting facts and things. Lots of waterfalls and horses over here and we got to see seals on the shore too!
My fiancée and I joined his two-day tour, and it was an amazing experience. He is warm, funny, and incredibly patient. Throughout the trip, he was always attentive to everyone’s needs and made every member of the group feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. His explanations gave us a much deeper understanding of Iceland, its culture, and its unique geography. We really enjoyed traveling with him. I hope we get to see him again the next time we visit Iceland—but at the same time, I also hope we don’t. Because more than anything, I hope he succeeds in achieving his dream. —— Mengjie & Mengni Wang
Kiki, Monika and Bear did an amazing job on our 5 day tour of the golden and silver circle. The bus was clean and spacious. Each tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful for my mom who has mobility issues. We brought two young children along and they had a great time! I highly recommend them.
Richter is a brilliant guide, I went travel alone a lot and he is the nicest gentlest guide I’ve ever met, he is always so patient and also helped me out when I needed, because of him I have a wonderful day in Iceland.
Excellent guide, very knowledgeable and good vibes all round. Extremely helpful and friendly too. Had a great time! Couldn't recommend the trip more
Snæfellsnes is beatyfull and Filip's music make it more memorizing. One day is definitely not enough to enjoy the nature and well planned trip. We have got a recommendation of this trip and company. The best
we were hesitant about a long day tour, and the description and pictures of the peninsula just does not do it justice. the beauty of the peninsula is breathtaking, deep green volcanic hills, expansive vistas of the see, and best of all, for summer, hardly any tourists. Philip was great, witty, sometimes serious, and filling in the long drive with his beautiful accompanying music that suited what we were seeing. the drive was long, but not much walking if you didnt want to. thanks so much!
Very lovely tour. Our guide Sami, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the tour. He kept us informed and entertained. It was a great day despite the weather.
Filip was excellent, arrived early at our pick up and took great care of our family. He gave helpful tips and local recommendations and was humorous and educated us a great deal. And his playlist was fire.
Phillip was great. He was patient and explained everything clearly.
Fillip was absolutely the best.
The trip was a great experience and Filip was a great guide! I would definitely recommend the Snaefellsnes day trip was him. We got to see a lot and I felt like it was plenty of time.
Our guide was great. Smart, communicative and funny. My husband wasn't able to walk as much as hoped and our guide was both understanding and accommodating.
