This was such a fun and unique experience. Klara was a delightful tour guide and a wealth of knowledge about the dogs she keeps. Q's engineering ensured that even without snow, we had a fun, comfortable, FAST ride!! Absolutely worth the price, especially because you get a decently long ride of 20-30 min, plus some time to socialize with the dogs afterward.

This was a true experience. No fluff. The owner operator was truly authentic. It was an excellent experience that our guide and dogs enthusiastically included us in. It was more - and better - than we had expected. Can’t say enough that this was well worth it. Of note, we did not have snow and did the cart ride - loved this!

This was so much fun! The folks at Dogsledding Iceland are super knowledgeable and very professional. They took us out for a ride, then we had time to interact with some of the other dogs they had on site (they switch them in and out for each trip). They really take care of and care for their animals. We were there right after (and during) a fresh snow, so it was really beautiful.
Although pricey, this experience was worth it! All of the staff were so great and you could tell very much love the dogs. You can also tell that the dogs love doing this. I couldn’t recommend this experience more!
Phenomenal experience dogsledding in Iceland! The dogs are very friendly and you are able to spend a decent amount of time with them before your ride. The mushers are lovely and share lots of dogsledding facts- it’s obvious that the dogs are their family. A bit pricey, and the ride lasts about 35 minutes, but our group decided it was worth the tough bill.
Hands down one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. Pickup from the hotel was very smooth. And once you get to the location you see all the dogs lined up ready to go. All are just howling with excitement to start running. You get to pet them and take pictures before starting and they’re all so sweet to play with. You get to take turns with people in the sled driving with the guide and they took us around the frozen lake. I’m always a bit skeptical about doing any activity animal related but you can tell the guides really love and care for the dogs. They mention they live with the dogs and they all know each and everyone’s name. Seriously one of the best things I’ve ever done and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Reykjavik.

What a fantastic experience! The dogs clearly love the runout and it was so much fun on the ice. The guides were excellent and happily answered any questions we had. Our 7 year old son had the time of his life and really enjoyed being able to spend time with the dogs before and after the ride. Highly recommend this trip.

Wow! Wonderful Experience!!! Our 10 year old son loved every single moment of it. Kristen was our guide and she made sure everyone was comfortable and had a chance to help drive the sled. The dogs are sweet and you can even give them some pets and cuddles at the halfway point. It’s a little tricky to find on Apple Maps - but Google maps can get you there very directly. Was -8C for our 2:05pm trip - so make sure you have excellent gloves and a scarf or something to cover your face. We were told we had the warmest run of the day - our guide did not even have a jacket on :) Seriously - just a wonderful experience.
Wonderful experience, great for families. We came in February. About a 40 minute ride from Reykjavík city center. Very friendly and helpful staff. They offered everyone snow suits, I highly recommend using them. We came dressed in several layers but would have been uncomfortable without the suits, its not the temperature, but the wind chill. Our sled location was a frozen lake with snow cover. No snow in Reykjavík but snow on the ground at our location. The site is at a higher elevation than Reykjavík and as such is about 10 degrees F colder than in town, more wind as well. We were fortunate to have a clear sunny day. The dogs were very friendly and energetic, wanting to run. We were on the sled about 30 min or so, plenty of time for the experience. Everyone gets a chance to 'drive' from one of the rear runners. There is an experienced musher really controlling the dogs, they do have their own agenda, it takes a lot of attention to keep them focused. Highly recommend.
Very special experience. Good communications throughout. Pick up as promised. We were concerned that the dogs would be running off ice on a trail rather than on ice due to lack of snowfall for months! However on arrival we were greeted by a very friendly team who introduced the beautiful dogs who were ready to set off across the iced lake. It was actually sleeting as we set off which really set off the experience. Definitely take the offer of the warm suit which you absolutely need plus goggles. 35 mins and everyone had chance to drive sled if you want to. The dogs are happy and well looked after and we were definitely encouraged to engage with them before and after rides. The noise they make together whilst waiting is crazy but they fell silent as soon as harnessed and ready to roll. It’s very expensive but truly ticked off a must do off our bucket lists. We would definitely recommend
If you are thinking about it, just do it! From the owner to the staff and drivers, everyone is so kind and excited for the work. Every dog has such a fun and unique personality. We got to meet will most of them. We scheduled our trip to include a transfer and were picked up by our hotel. After a couple other pickups, we arrived at base camp. The dogs were so excited — imagine how hyped your dog gets when you tell them it is time for a walk — and were very happy to receive head scratches, butt rubs. We took turns “driving” alongside a driver/ handler and enjoyed the stunning scenery. It was hard to tell who was having the most fun between us riders and the dogs! We came prepared with snowgear and crampons but they did have some items for those who needed them. Such a great time and so memorable. We would definitely do this again!
This excursion was our families favorite from our trip to Iceland. The owners ams operators were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about the dogs and super fun! We had excellent communication from them prior to the excursion too. The dogs were wonderful. 5 stars for our guide, Klara! Highly recommend!!
Awesome experience with a perfect guide dressed as a reindeer. No snow but vary was a fine ride. At 71, this checked off a bucket list item. We got to greet and play with pups who will eventually be sled dogs. Learned a lot about the history of the breed. Highly recommend for both young and old.

We went on a dogsled tour with our family of six and had an absolutely fantastic time. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took great care of both us and the dogs, which were adorable, well cared for, and full of personality. The experience itself was unforgettable. Gliding through the Icelandic landscape with the dogs pulling the sled was exciting, fun, and something our whole family will be talking about for a long time. It felt very safe and well organized, and everyone — kids and adults alike — had a blast. A quick tip for future visitors: dress very warm, especially good gloves and warm boots. You’ll enjoy it even more if you’re properly bundled up. Highly recommend this tour to families and anyone looking for a unique and memorable Icelandic experience!
Absolutely amazing experience My daughter turned 18 in August and her dream was to go dog sledging so I booked this experience alongside my trip to Iceland and I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences I ever had and I'm 48 My daughter had the best time ever Such wonderful memories I have recommended anyone travelling to Iceland to book this experience Also just wanted to say my daughter has autism and other additional needs and she felt so comfortable and at ease Everyone was so warming and welcoming and a great laugh Thankyou so much
We had a blast! The dogs were so friendly, but once it was time to work, they were very focused. All the people we interacted with from the shuttle driver to the dog handlers were incredibly nice and helpful. We never felt like this was an assembly line production, but rather they were allowing us to be a part of these dog’s lives for a few hours.

My mother and I did this exciting activity while staying in Reykjavik. We had a great time, and the dog owners who run the activity were amazing with my mother's limited mobility! She uses a walker and they just took the best care of us, with pickup from the hotel and return to the hotel afterwards! Cannot thank you enough for all you did to make this great for us!

The best money I've spent in a long time! Absolutely wonderful, and a once in a lifetime experience. The team were really friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and fun. Dogs were amazing and very enthusiastic! Setting was beautiful and weather was perfect; sled ran on a frozen lake with patches of snow cover. Good length of time on the sled - from sitting at the front, to driving from the back, our sled had 4 people and it never felt crowded. Great time at the end of the session to spend petting and playing with the dogs. If you're considering this activity, definitely book it!

Worth every second . The views are breathtaking, the dogs and their trainers are amazing. We rode at sunrise (about 10:20 am) and it was cold but spectacular!

A wonderful experience. We had the dry land experience as not enough snow around, and whilst it might have been nice on the snow, I have to say the power of the extra huskies on the land was quite magnificent. The team organising this activity were professional, considerate and organised. Arguably, the only slight frustration was almost losing the sled because another customer could not follow the very basic instructions provided. Thankfully, the staff were able to intervene and course correct - very grateful.

This was my favorite thing we did all trip! The guides were very funny and had lots of knowledge about the area we were riding in and of course the dogs. Even riding the cart because there wasn’t snow on the ground, it was still very fun and worth doing. Highly recommend!
Even though there wasn’t any snow when we went the experience of sledding with the dogs on a wheeled sleigh was super. Our guides were brilliant and kept the welfare of the dogs to the fore at all times while still making sure we had a great time. I can’t fully express the thrill of the experience- if you can, just do it. You won’t regret it.
It was an amazing experience! The huskies were all very excited and the guide was a really nice person and told us a lot about the dogs, dogsledding, and Iceland. We were four people on the sled and it was very comfortable, well since no snow had fallen yet it was a dog cart and not a sled. Make sure to wear something waterproof, because there are many puddles and if you pet the dogs afterwards you will get wet and/or dirty. Worth it, though, the dogs were all very cute. ^^
What a fun way to enjoy the beautiful Iceland countryside!!! We've previously been dog-sledding in the snow, but it was great to watch an awesome team of dogs pull a 4-wheeled cart down a dirt road then cool off in some water crossings. The brother and sister team made the entire experience enjoyable from easy logistics to smooth operation of well-cared for dogs/equipment while providing lots of interesting info, taking photos, and knowledgeably answering questions.
This was a thrilling experience. The tour guides were a brother and sister team. They drove two different teams hooked up to (separate) carts. The ride was safe and fast paced. Of course, the scenery was spectacular. The dogs were very well treated and looked healthy. The guide for my cart gave commentary along the way about history, geography and details about the dogs. there were only about 5 people in the cart. Well worth trying this experience.
If you’re a dog person just shut up and book it. Dogs are so happy, well cared for and the team is great. We highly recommend
Unique and exciting experience in Iceland! Set expectations accordingly and follow the instructions provided - meeting location is off the beaten path, no bathrooms or indoor area, dogs run when they are ready and it will be cold, wet, muddy, and a bumpy ride! With that said, it’s AMAZING! Incredible views, awesome tour guides, and beautiful dogs! Our family of six ranging in age from 8 to 74 thoroughly enjoyed this adventure and loved spending time rewarding the dogs with praise and petting at the end!

What a fantastic experience! Our 4 and 6 year old children especially loved it, including meeting the dogs. The scenery is amazing, and what a great way to experience it, being pulled through rivers by a team of huskies. Definite highlight of our family trip to Iceland .. and that’s some pretty stiff competition!
