What an absolutely fantastic experience! From start to finish, the tour was exceptional. Everything was so well organised, and the whole experience was enjoyable, informative and thoroughly memorable. The tour was even better than we expected. The guide was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and passionate, making the experience extra special. There were so many highlights, and we loved every minute. It was clear that a lot of care and attention had gone into making sure everyone had a brilliant time. We came away with wonderful memories and would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone considering booking it. A truly five-star experience from beginning to end. We wouldn’t hesitate to do it all again!

Itinerary
Your Golden Circle Complete tour starts with a Reykjavik pick-up. From the Capital, you will head to visit all three of the classic Golden Circle attractions, Thingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir in addition to other interesting neighbouring stops along the way.
The first highlight of the tour is the bright red Kerid crater lake. It's a 3000-year-old spot 55 meters deep and most recognized for its beauty – aquamarine-colored water surrounded by red rocks and greenery. This color scheme is what makes the lake look like a giant eye from above. For this reason, it's called "The Eye of the World."
Next up is Gullfoss, Iceland’s best known waterfall. The stunning waterfall falls gracefully down two steps creating a stunning setting for that picture perfect moment.
Next, we'll stop at Thingvellir National Park a UNESCO World Heritage site. Drink in the heavy mixture of geological and historical wonders at this popular site as you stroll between the rift valley that the tectonic plates of N-American and Eurasian have created.
Netxt, you will visit the phenomenal hot spring area of Geysir. Here you will get to experience Strokkur geyser in action, spouting boiling water up to about 60-100 feet.
Your tour will complete back in Reykjavik with a drop off at your original departure point.

Yes it was amazing and had a great day dispute the weather
Great experience and worth it! Glad I did it and very comfortable but and nice tour guide.
Franklin was a fantastic, sweet and funny guide! Extremely knowledgeable and wonderful to spend the afternoon with! We got to see so many amazing beautiful places and it never felt like we were being rushed ever! Loved the Arctic Adventures itinerary!! Thank you again Franklin!
Great introduction to the natural wonders of Iceland. Andres was a knowledgeable guide with an interesting commentary of history and legend.
Let people know that the driver will make the first stop for coffee, breakfast. We enjoyed our tour guide and our day. Would have liked more time at the national park.
Awesome tour. Our Guide , BRUNO, was excellent - Best we have come across. He was so informative and helpful. Enjoyed every moment. His explanations during the trip were very interesting. His stops in between , out of the script , were too good , specially the ICE CREAM place. 😊. Highly recommended
Wonderful informative tour. Our guide Franklin was wonderful
The tour was punctual, well paced with the right amount of time at each stop. The additional stop at the tomato farm/stables was nice and the visit to Faxi falls was excellent. The guide was friendly and helpful but was disappointing; his heavily accented english was hard to understand and he could have said far more about the Island and living there as we drove around, which would have been appreciated.
Tour and the guide was good, but our experience on the bus was not great. We were in the back seat which had no windows so we could not see anything as we were driving which was an issue as we were on a scenic tour. The back seat was very dark and enclosed and felt like a coffin We also could not hear the guide commentary as the speaker system was inadequate and did not project any sound to the back. This means that while driving between stops we could not see or hear anything. This was very disappointing and spoilt our experience
Our guide, Ehsan was fantastic! From the very beginning he set me at ease with my concerns about getting back on time. He had great facts about each place as well as the places we passed along the way without over doing it. I was worried things would feel super long but it went at a beautiful pace and was thoroughly enjoyable. His driving was also wonderful and I say that as someone who easily gets carsick.
Excellent day trip to see all the highlights! Beautiful scenery and interesting and informative stories provided by our guide, Lucky! She made our first experience in Iceland memorable!
Eric the Red knew his stuff. Ask for him. Just the right amount of time. This review survey requires 100 characters.
A beautiful sunny day for the Golden Circle. We were very lucky to have Ingi for our driver and guide. About 20 on the bus. Stopped for a wee and nibbly break at a Bonus with a pretend rift valley. Spent plenty of time at Kerid Crater, Guillfoss falls, Geysir (where we bought lunch) then the rift valley at Thingvellir. Highly informative commentary. Well timed. Loved it.
Maria was very attentive and knowledgeable. She even took us for an ice cream stop at the end of the trip and also explained how to eat raw rhubarb. Yummy!
Arthur was a great driver/ tour guide. Mini-bus was comfortable and not crowded for our 8 hr tour. Stops were spaced for bathroom breaks. Scenery was breathtaking - geysers, waterfalls, crater lake, UNESCO site. Tour company was responsive to questions. Meeting point was 10 minutes walking distance. Overall, excellent tour. Love the small group tours. Recommend.
The guide was great but the headset was hard to understand. Fuzzy. The tour was lovely and Andreas was great.
This was an amazing day touring the Golden Circle. Franklin was our guide. He was knowledgeable, funny and genuinely wanted the group to have a good time. The Icelandic music he played throughout the trip really set the scene as we drove through the majestic countryside. I loved visiting the Kerid Crater, Gulfoss Falls, Geysir and Thingvellir. We had enough time at each stop and take photos and lunch at the Geysir restaurant was yummy! I would highly recommend this tour for a first visit to Iceland. I also highly recommend Franklin as tour guide.
Very good guide. Generally a good tour. Having seen Old Faithful in Yellowstone Park in the USA, the geyser did not impress me but for a person who has never seen a geyser probably worth it. The other three locations (falls, crater, tectonic plate spit) were pretty cool. Downside--> Not the actual tour, which was fine. The pick up point was a mess. I was originally told to go to stop #6. Then the day before I got an email saying the pick up point was moved around the corner and down the hill to a point alongside Hverfisgata and alongside the big lawn. Some of the Arctic Adventure buses stopped there but some stopped on Ingolfsstraeti (stop #6?), including my tour bus. I almost missed the tour and had to run to the bus and only realized the problem when someone (maybe an Arctic Adeventure employee) yelled for me by my first name. Given that the pickups are just at street corners, maybe all should be staffed by dispatchers; for this particular location -- which turned out to be two locations about a 100 meters apart -- a dispatcher was definitely needed (or maybe the tour buses should have all stopped at exactly on of the two locations.) In short, the pick up process was a mess and needed and needs improvement.
Jakob was our tour guide and he is fantastic! Knowledgeable about the history of the area. Easy to talk to also. Doesn't mind questions. The tour itself is perfect. The geysers, the crater the rift, everything. Our group had i believe 17 and perfect size. We stopped for lunch and given ample time to eat and explore the area If you're in the air about this tour, it's a must and if you can ask for Jakob as your guide.
The worst tour guide I have ever encountered. The guide was Spanish. I had been waiting at the meeting point for an hour, yet he apparently came and left without even calling out my name. When I tried to contact him, he claimed that he had come to pick me up but couldn’t find me, which was simply not true. Afterwards, instead of apologizing or handling the situation professionally, he made ridiculous jokes and treated me as if I were the one who had arrived late. As I was the only girl there and was travelling alone, the way he handled the situation made me feel extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable.
Highly recommend! So much to see and do. Our driver Edgar was fun and knowledgeable. Great way to finish our trip!
Great tour. Edgar changed the order of the trip because he knew when and where the weather would be best, and he was right. Fantastic day!
Edgar was great and made sure we avoided bad weather. Price was also very reasonable too
As advertised. Great trip good value. Edgar was a great and fun guide.
Great trip around the golden circle.
A very enjoyable and educational day because we had an amazing and knowledgeable guide! I learn so much about Iceland, the culture, how the Icelanders harness and live with the force of nature, and yes, get to listen to a curated list of music from Icelandic artists! As expected, there is no time to wander to your heart’s content in a see-it-all in one day golden circle tour, but you get the gist of it. The toilet stops are adequate. Andre is a good spontaneous planner, he took the opportunity and trouble, when the schedule allowed, to make 2 extra stops to show us an Icelander’s creativity and way of life. In my opinion, a wonderful tour starts with a passionate guide. The strength of Artic Adventures is having guides like Andre! Thanks. Andre!
The trip was very well organized, with plenty of stops that were just the right length. The guide was lovely.
Edgar our tour guide was fantastic, he was informative and had a great sense of humour. Although it was raining he was thoughtful and took us to all our sights in different order which allowed us to see the sights when there was a bit of clearing or drizzle. He took initiative and guided accordingly with weather and very accommodating. Great golden circle experience with Edgar!
A very confusing start to the morning, too many tours picking up at the same location. Once we got started things moved smoothly. Our driver/guide (Lucky) was an excellent driver, very informative and pleasant. She had a couple of extra things to see (ie. a mall where you could see the tectonic plates and a horse farm). The lunch stop was very expensive for the quality of food offered, it would have been nice to be advised to bring a lunch. The last stop at the National Park was too short and there was too much to see with no guidance.
Edgar was awesome. Best guide. The weather was bad but the tour was great. Highly recommend this guide. Thank you!!!!
Edgar, our driver and guide was awesome! He was able to give us valuable information at each location and helpful hints to make it a great experience. My only recommendation is to possibly send a photo of the actual pick up location as we were around the corner, but Edgar found us!
Magnus Dan was an enthusiastic guide who gave us a great experience. We enjoyed the tour, lots of interesting information.
Bruno was a wonderful host and leader of the trip. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and showed us even more (secret) places than advertised. It was a great tour and we felt very comfortable as a family of four. Thank you very much!
Elisa was a wonderful tour guide. We had one member who has mobility issues and she was very accommodating. Highly recommend.
The guide Elisa the Captian made the experience phenomenal. We loved and recommend her. Amazing day.
The sights were trully gorgeous, everything is so clean and well preserved. María, our guide for the day was super funny and charming. Really recommend.
Very good driver/guide. Good tour value for money. Be prepared to hike. Probably should have booked 10 hour tour to have a little more time to soa in beautiful countryside.
Dovile is a great driver and tour guide! Had a wonderful time!
in general recommendable. would be great to have 15 min more time at the sightings.
Edgar was amazing, lots of great information and fun. He answered all the questions we hadabs some we didn't. The stops were great and we had a wonderful experience.
Edgar was great! I learned so much and he was happy to answer all our questions.
A wonderful full day tour led by a highly knowledgeable, friendly, witty, kind, careful and thoughtful guide, Magnus Dan. Magnus not only ensured we were safe and cared for his sharing of his own experiences as an Icelander helped make an interesting tour fascinating. Magnus is one of the reasons we will book with Arctic Adventures again. Really comfortable vehicle; great balance of driving and time at stops. We are so glad we chose this tour as it showed and shared so much with us and prepared us for choosing for our choices when we return Thank you Magus and Arctic for a great day
It was never boring because Lucky told us stories and we were perfectly entertained. The stops were interesting and different. It was a great experience.
Overall, it was a great tour. The driver was friendly and shared a lot of interesting information throughout the trip. Another member of the team added some funny comments along the way, which made the day even more enjoyable. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and the whole experience was fantastic. The only thing I regret is not taking a lava rock with me—but it's too late now.. I have nothing to complain about.
Iga is an excellent guide. She’s informative, personable and met the needs of our small group. On a personal note it was a pleasure having conversations with her waiting for the group to return.
Get to see places you would not be able to see except on an excursion. Got to see waterfalls, steam geysers, many sheep, beautiful crater, and much more.
This was a great day trip. Arny, our guide, was very knowledgeable and personable. She provided a lot of background for each stop.
Horrible, the operator "Arctic Adventures" contracted out to another operator "Your Day Tours" and used their van without sign of Viator or Arctic Adventures on the vehicle. We spent one hour looking around for the assigned vehicle on the tickets. After more than 30 vans and buses left, we checked with the driver, and he had our names on his tablet. No sign of Viator or Arctic Adventures on the vehicle. He was sitting inside waiting for customers checking with him without looking for us. Beware Viator and its operator change the tickets on the last minutes without notification.
It's so incredibly relaxing! You're in a super small group, and the guide is absolutely amazing! They are seriously knowledgeable and hilarious too!
