Reykjavik: Cruise Port Transfer To/from Keflavik Airport

I booked a trip from cruise control to airport in Reykjavik Iceland for an 8:30 am pickup. We learned during our cruise that we were going to dock early and I messaged the vendor and asked if we could be picked up at 7:30am. I never received a message back. We ultimately took a cab to the airport.. I understand that I will not get a refund, but extremely irritated that I received no response. After I texted that we were taking a taxi to the airport, the vendor then responded with a thanks for the update.

Our driver, Alessandro, arrived at our scheduled pick-up time. He communicated when he was 5 minutes away. He shared the make of car, color and the license plate number so he was easy to locate. The car was clean and well maintained. We were a group or 5, aged 16 to 89, we had plenty of legroom. I will book through Viator in the future.

Ahmed was very professional, timely and friendly. His Tesla was very nice, clean, and had plenty of storage space for our luggage. Highly recommend.

Driver arrived early at cruise ship in Reykjavik ship port. Driver was courteous and professional and helped with luggage.

When entering the lobby of the airport we were told that the driver would be there with a sign with our name on it. We looked and looked and couldn't find hm. Fortunately, we had his cell phone number and called. He was standing in the back of the lobby with no sign with our name. Have no clue how he thought we would find him.

Sam was a fantastic driver! His SUV was spacious and provided a comfortable ride for the four of us. He was personable and friendly. This company was able to quickly adjust our pick up time in order to get us to the airport in time. Thanks for being so helpful! Highly recommend!

Just a quick trip from the cruise line to the airport but the driver did point out a few of the local attractions along the way.

We ordered a transfer from the cruise ship terminal in Reykjavik to the airport. The pickup time was scheduled for 9am. At 8:58, I received a call from our driver, checking to see if we were ready. We were on our way at 9am! Excellent service. This beats riding a crowded bus. This is the only service I will use to or from the airport when traveling.

Our driver arrived over two hours after our flight landed and it was very difficult to connect with anyone from the company to figure out what was happening.

The experience was a lot of fun and Iga was a wonderful tour guide. Although it was a lot of hours, the trip was broken up so it didn’t feel so long. My family had a fantastic time!

The driver did not show up. We could cracked the company. They did not know why he was not there So they called him and found out h had technical cal difficulties. No one could contacted us. They did say they would reimburse us. He had to find a cab and pay more for the transfer from the Port to the Airport.

Unfortunately, the day before we received a map location for the pickup but the driver was inside the terminal. It took us a while to find him.

The service level was not at what’s promised. At the cruise terminal during the disembarkation, there were a lot of people waiting for their transportation. There were also buses, taxis, and private transports like this one that we booked in front of the terminal. It was promised that the driver would meet us in the arrival hall holding a sign with my name so we can easily find the driver. It was not even close. I got a call from the driver, who was obviously a last minute substitute, who told us to go outside and look for his car because he didn’t want to come into the pickup/drop off area with so many cars around. He said the taxi line was long and it would take 20 minutes to get out. I didn’t understand why he mentioned taxi as we ordered a private transport. Okay, we went outside as told and in the chaos it took us almost 15 minutes to find his car, a sedan that’s not the normal private transport company would use, more like a Uber. I was on the phone with the driver and his direction wasn’t clear where to find him as we weren’t local people and had no idea which road was which. Long story short, we finally found each other and he did drive us to the airport quickly and safely afterwards. The end was good but the experience was far from expected/promised so I could not consciously give it a high rating. If you are booking a private transport from the cruise terminal to the KEF airport, please keep in mind that this could happen. To be fair, I must mention I also used the same company for the transport from the airport to the cruise terminal a week earlier (same one in Viator). The driver Sorin was excellent! He provided great service and we chatted all the way to the cruise port. That was the level of service we’d expect coming back from the cruise port. Unfortunately, it was not. The driver was not friendly at all and it was an awkward ride. I guess it all depends on who the driver is.

On time with great follow up with current arrival status . Also made sure Van could easily accommodate all of our luggage and 4 passengers.

The shuttle service was on time, friendly, helpful. The day before our 6 people shuttle from Reykjavik cruise terminal to KEF airport we decided to include a 5 hr tour…they had no problem making the change and suggested a great tour with multiple stops. Our driver Sergio was on time, friendly, knowledgeable. Would use them again…and highly recommend them.

Our drive to cruise port was disappointing. 1. At one point, if we did not have our seatbelts on we would have been thru the windshield. 2. He specifically told us he knew where he was going. Then took us to the wrong port unloaded our luggage and almost left. I ran 2 blocks to catch him before he left. 3. He drove at excessive speeds. An unpleasant experience.

Our driver Daniel was excellent. The car was the size we requested, it was clean and he had water for us. Daniel was on time, assisted with our luggage, and was a pleasure to talk to during the drive to the airport. We always felt safe and the experience could not have been better. I booked this company for our airport transfer and, overall, the experience was just okay. Communication beforehand was excellent — they were responsive and organized when I reached out with questions. On the day of pickup, though, things were less smooth. We were ready 15 minutes early, expecting the car might arrive ahead of schedule, but instead the driver showed up about 10 minutes late (despite saying he was “five minutes away”). The ride itself was fine, and the driver was polite enough, though we had to help load our own luggage. The bigger issue came at the airport: when he opened the trunk, one of my suitcases fell out and cracked badly. He didn’t acknowledge it, just kept unloading and said goodbye — frustrating since I now had to fly home with a broken suitcase. Another note: the company advertises that the vans are easily accessible, but there was no step to get in. I was traveling with four people who have mobility concerns. While it wasn’t impossible, the step was a bit high, and my mother struggled to get into the back seat. In the end, we got to the airport on time, but between the late arrival, luggage mishap, and accessibility concerns, this wasn’t the smooth transfer I had hoped for.

Smooth pickup from the cruise port for a transfer to the KEF airport. Driver was very friendly and point d out a few interesting things on the trip to the airport.

Our driver was prompt and very nice. We had a 45 minute drive to the airport and even made it educational, talking about the stone statues and volcanoes during the drive.

We were extremely satisfied with our two Easy Transfer rides—from the airport into the city and then from the cruise terminal to the airport at trip’s end. Easy to book online via Trip Advisor; I booked about 3 months out so I could secure the extra times I needed for arriving flights/ship disembarkation, but our driver said they do have availability on shorter notice if you don’t need/want to book that far in advance. The Sprinter vehicle was clean, spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room in the back for the large suitcases we had for our multi-week trip. Our driver met us both times outside passport control with our name clearly displayed on an iPad so we could easily find him. Both drivers insisted on helping with our bags, which was nice as curbside parking is not allowed at the airport or cruise terminal. The Sprinter conveniently included WiFi and plenty of bottled water. Both drivers did a great job of sensing the amount of conversation we wanted, and they provided great commentary about Reykjavik’s sights, history, and industries along the way. A++ experience!
