Reykjavik Northern Lights Tour With Pro Aurora Photos Small Group

We were so lucky to have the opportunity to see the Northern Lights! Our guide, Sotiris, was absolutely amazing and truly went above and beyond to make sure we got to see them. He was funny, knowledgeable, and kept us entertained while sharing interesting facts about the Northern Lights and Iceland. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure everyone had an unforgettable experience. Seeing the Northern Lights was truly magical, and Sotiris made the experience even more special! Highly recommend this tour!

The weather was against us so it was going to be very challenging to see the lights. We were moved to the 6pm tour because 8pm was cancelled and the weather forecast for the long weekend ahead was terrible. We managed to see the lights for about 5 minutes and we are so very grateful that even when other tours cancelled, Aurora Viking went ahead. We loved learning about the Astro physics of it all too! Hot chocolate was lovely.

It was fantastic! Our driver, Emil, was very passionate about making sure that we had the best experience. He took many photos for us, included some Viking gear, and piping hot chocolate. He went above and beyond. I would highly recommend.

We used Aurora Viking twice during our trip to Iceland. The first day we saw lights however they were not very strong. In spite of that the guide took us to a snow covered mountain top and we were able to witness northern lights. We liked their service and guide (Trond) so much we decided to book another tour the night before we left Iceland. It was a great decision! The skies were active even though there was cloud cover and areas of rain. The guide (this time it was Jonas, another guide) was very active in finding a good spot. He found a mountain top nearby and it was an awesome experience. Aurora Viking is a small operator and I would recommend them!

I would sincerely like to thank Emmanuel. I was so impressed with his dedication to get us a great experience to see the northern lights. He took us to a few spots, using radar to discover the best spot for us to see the northern lights. It was amazing to see the rays expanding, and also to see the density of the light. He also encouraged us to take as many photos as we wanted so we can capture the moment. Emmanuel was able to capture a few photos through his digital camera, which he shared with us, which I loved . I specifically flew from the US to Iceland to see the northern lights. It was everything I had hoped for. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Amazing experience! Jonas was great at chasing the lights, lovely stories and history was taught to us. And we got amazing pictures, and hot chocolate to keep us warm during our hunt. Would highly recommend doing this experience!

Jonas is such a nice guy drove us to 3 different locations so we can see the most beautiful aurora and he also took very good photos as well

Simon is a very humorous and helpful guide! We were lucky enough to see the aurora before 10pm of the night, it’s perfect experience.

An absolutely amazing experience! Felix, our driver, was brilliant at finding the best places to see them. There was quite a lot of cloud cover, but he drove us to a couple of locations where the sky was clear and we had a spectacular view! An all-round brilliant experience and very good value for money.

Absolutely amazing evening with Simon as our guide. Small group tour on mini bus, we were happy to pay more to go in a small group. We were lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights magical show, so a perfect evening but when we booked we knew we had the reassurance of rebooking again for free if we hadn’t been successful. Simon was experienced and extremely knowledgeable and knew where to head, alongside his wicked sense of humour, he had us laughing all evening. Not wanting to say anymore about the role of the ‘Lobster’ for fear of giving away Simon’s secrets we are forever grateful for that stop! Served the best hot chocolate under the magical sky. We downloaded the photos Simon has taken and wow, memories of a lifetime captured right there, no words needed. Thank you so much Simon, a dream come true, bucket list wish achieved.

Simon was an amazing guide, he looked after everyone very well and kept us all entertained along the way. I would highly recommend this tour, a big bonus is the retry if you don’t get to see them on the first time, we had a second attempt and managed to see them.

Our first night the lights didn’t show unfortunately, we were able to seamlessly rebook free of charge for another attempt! For our first attempt, Jona was great and was in good spirits for what the conditions were by the end of the night. For our second attempt we had Simon who was absolutely delightful, and had the group laughing from the first stop! He kept up to date with the latest coverage and was very knowledgeable in great areas we could catch the lights with the cloud clearing up. (Without the crowds may I add!). Thankfully, just outside of Selfoss, and after rubbing the lucky giant lobster we had success! The aurora opened up and put on a beautiful show for us. Our last night in Iceland was made so special. Amazing experience. Our guide Simon was exceptional and highly entertaining - he had us all in hysterics many times whilst waiting for the lights to appear, and appear they did! The smaller group trip was lovely and more intimate. The hot chocolate was the best ever. Can't share too much about the secret with the lobster, but it did the trick! Thanks Simon, we enjoyed your farewell playlist, and we're sad to leave you and the lights behind.

The tour was very successful. Jonas was very nice, gave great advice and explanations and really put an effort to get the best views and photos. He made the experience even better than just watching the northern lights.

Jonas was very professional and use all his expertise tracking the solar activity and cloud coverage real time to help us see the most beautiful northern lights ever. I joined other big tour which is simply driving to a location and wait for luck but this small tour is actively hunting. The professional photo taking was amazing too.

Our guide Sotiris was awesome! He was super patient in trying to take us to the perfect spot for the Northern Lights and was great at explaining any and everything. While the lights weren’t too strong, we did get a quick show. Sotiris made the whole experience very enjoyable!

Loved it !! 😻 The atmosphere in the bus was amazing!😌 The aurora forecast said there was 0-2/10 likelihood to see it but our tour guide was really optimistic and funny and kept our spirits high 😃 In the end we did see it after all and got amazing pictures 🤍👍

Fantastic experience! Johan, our guide, did a great job of keeping us entertained with stories of night trolls and elves, and with explanations of the northern lights, until the lights made their appearance. They started dim, but after an hour or so, the lights put on an excellent display, and even the subfreezing weather could not dampen our enthusiasm. Johan took photos of everyone, and everyone had a good time. This is the tour to take for seeing the northern lights!

Family-run business gave a personal touch. Our guide, Thomas, has seen the lights hundreds of times, but was so excited and enthusiastic to take pictures and marvel at the sight!

Our trip with Emil was excellent and he was absolutely fantastic guide knowing exactly where ti go that was quiet and perfect for seeing the lights as conditions were in our favour. Timing was perfect and the bus was warm and comfortable.
