A brilliant way to see Reyjkavik and to learn about the city/country. Excellent value for money. The GPS navigation worked fairly well.
This was a very well done self guided tour and cheap - we were able to follow the route on the map to each location. We walked through all of Reykjavik
Audio was well paced and easy to follow through the Old Town and Center City area of Reykjavik. It was a great weay to get oriented on my second day in Iceland.
Four of us could not figure out how to download the app that needed to be downloaded and then once we got it downloaded, we can not figure out how to get it to work out in the city without good Internet maybe with good Internet it would work easier, but we should’ve been warned about that in advance And when we wrote a message to them, they did not even respond so we were out $45. Not a big deal, but it was very annoying to say the least.
This was our first self-guided audio walking tour, and it was very accommodating given our inexperience with the format. The tour itself was interesting and informative. We took our time and deviated from the itinerary as we chose, restarting where we left off and replaying anything we had missed.
Extremely easy to use with your phone. No need to do anything but listen to the audio and take pictures. It guides you the whole way. And even though we arrived in Iceland a day later than expected, we were able to use it when we got here.
Loved the tour. I think having music played between stops would be nice. (there was one sit where this happened). We were constantly asking each other if the narrator was talking yet.
We appreciated the recommendations of places to go and the facts about local history. Our favourite part was her telling us about lake Tjörnin freezing over sometimes in winter and that you could walk on it then - we had a very good time walking across the lake. All the instructions were clear and it didn’t feel too long. Pictures are all from the tour 😊
Disappointed that I couldn’t use it as you have to follow exactly route and share your location at all times. I was under impression that you can just listen to the appropriate parts once you’re there, no matter the order. So haven’t used this audio tour, and probably won’t use any audio tours ever again after this experience.. definitely should’ve go for a walking tour
I really enjoyed learning about the city and seeing parts of the city that I would have never been to otherwise. This was a great app!
Didn’t share much information about the city or the sites. Could have learned all the same content from reading the signs.
Thoroughly enjoyed this walk. Showed our way around Reykjavik seeing the main sites. Able to stop and start again. Added to our enjoyment and appreciation of this wonderful city.
Loved the self guided pace and very informative insights about the city of Reykjavik. The hidden gems were a great highlight, would unlikely to have found those on my own. Highly recommend!
Fascinating landscape, friendly people and interesting culture. One caveat, the odds are against you seeing a strong display of the Northern Lights. We stayed in a hotel, (The Muli,) seif service, Obliging staff in particular Alexandra.
Took us around the main sites at our own time. The church was amazing. Enjoyed the walk around the harbour. Commentary interesting and pleasantly presented. Can thoroughly recommend this walk to visitors to Iceland.
This guide was great! Easy to follow, clear instructions and a good level of information and interest. We saw a lot of the city, learned about what we were looking at and really enjoyed it. It took us about 3 hours, walking, stopping to look and listen, stopping for a coffee in a recommended café and enjoying going round at our own pace.
Very informative, and you can go at your own pace. Definitely good if you only have a day in the city and want to learn more about the history/ see some great sites.
Really beautiful and heart warming visit. Lit candles, said prayers. Such a special place with a real serenity within. Highly recommend a visit.
A good way to discover the city. We enjoyed the history of the buildings and area. I would recommend this if you want to take your time.
This was exactly what we were looking for - an informative and entertaining walking tour. Map was easy to follow. Would recommend
What a brilliant way to explore a new place. I found the tour informative and the app design/interactions brilliant. Knowing where I was and if I ventured off path was a great advantage over other audio only tours.
This was an excellent activity for unfavorable weather in downtown Reykjavík. I even brought my dog along! Very easy to use and navigate. Recommend to anyone looking for an affordable "local" experience- no matter what the weather.
My wife and me were very happy !!! Very informative and easy way to walk over town. Rather cheap compare to the cost of a regular walking tour in Reykjavik. Totally worth it
This didn't really work for us. We were there on a windy, winter's day and taking shortcuts seemed to confuse things. Be careful after the Leif Eriksson monument that you take the road to the right (Frakkastigur), not straight down (Skolavordustigur). Best tip was the bakery...
This was horrible. I thought it would be a great way to see the sights, but it turned out to be useless. You have to find the first stop on your own--no problem. Then the tour starts and the audio kicks in whenever it senses (via GPS) you reach the next point. Except...you can't see the next point. After stop #2 on the tour, the narrator said to cross the street and walk until you reach the ocean. Easy enough. Until I walked three blocks and was notified that I must be lost. I tried to zoom out on the in-app map to see the route, but the map wouldn't hold the zoom and just instantly recentered on my current location. I ended up giving up and just walking around on my own. Absolutely useless and a waste of $7.
I had nothing to do on a Sunday night and ran into this little gem. Very informative, and I loved the music and the recommendations.
It may be me, but I just didn't get on with this at all. It kept telling me that I was lost and I couldn't see how to continue from where I was. It was difficult to figure out when I was walking around in a blizzard, so perhaps if I had looked at it beforehand, things might have worked out better.
We were lucky enough to hear an organ concert -- amazing. If it had not been a rainy day, we would have gone up the tower to see the city.
Started our walking tour here. Can take a peek inside for free - ceiling and organ amazing. Able to tour inside and up tower for ticket purchase, but just take a peek inside for free!
Really enjoyed this walk. The audio host was excellent. I did get confused with the download as it didn’t happen as per email instructions. Once I got use to the workings I was away. Recommended as an inexpensive and informative way to explore the city if limited time. You can stop at any of the highlights then return to the tour
Great app, easy to follow and very cheap in comparison with the others. I highly recommend to everyone!
Had friends coming by to visit and recommended them this app. They were supper happy with the usage and with all the information they got. Even I learned something interesting. I highly recommend!
Great app, user-friendly! Very easy to install and follow. Great way to guide you through the main sights.
By downloading this tour, I was able to visit Reykjavik without a crowd and at my own rythm. Really great tour, easy to follow and download. And for the price, it is definitely the cheapest in town !
A great country, we liked it a lot, we spent some dream dies, falls, hot springs, in short a dream world, with some great hotels, we were very pleased
Parfait quand on veut apprendre des choses a son rythme, plutôt immersif, j'ai bien aimé, je pense que je ferai ça pour tous mes prochains voyages en solitaire.
Good tour with all the main sights. Overall, I would have liked some more information about country/city and people. Download and tour worked great!
On the top can be purchased tickets to visit, inside there are no flower windows and wall paintings, there is a road like and a large tube violin. There is also a statue outside, said to be earlier than Columbus discovered the American continent, which took at least 40 years to build.
The architecture is captivating in some respects, if only for the diversity from traditional places of worship, it is worth a (quick) visit...
