Reykjavík Luggage Transport With Airport Check-in

If you’re leaving a cruise ship or departing a hotel and your flight home isn’t until later in the day-this is the greatest service!! We were leaving a cruise ship early morning and had a late afternoon flight home. We were able to have a full day of sightseeing with no worries about our luggage. We handed our bags to our assigned agent at the cruise port. The next time we saw them was back in the states at our home airport.. Awesome!

Our travel home was not until 8:00 pm but we needed to be off our cruise at 9:00 am. We wanted to explore Reykjavik without our large suitcases and found this service through the Viator site. We dropped our bags off right outside of the cruise terminal and did not see them again until we got to the airport at home. When we got to the airport (very busy) we walked directly to security. This was even better than doing an excursion with airport drop off because they check in your bag. Very friendly service too!

Having them come and pick up our bags at the Cruise terminal and check them right through to our destination was wonderful. It allowed us to explore some in the city and then go to the airport with only our carry-ons. Probably saved an hour at the airport too waiting in one other line to check your bags. Highly recommend.

It is incredible how great the service and people were,,,,,,,,,couldn't believe you walk off a ship and the team is there to print the luggage tag and put it on the bags and next time I saw the bags was the Orlando airport - loved not having to bring bags all through Iceland waiting to go to the airport hours later.

The service was just as advertised. As this was our first time using, we called customer service and spoke with an extremely helpful rep. We then went to the website and filled out the forms. Everything after went well. We scheduled our bags to be picked up at the Reykjavik Cruise Terminal so we could have a nice day exploring Reykjavik before our flight home. We got confirmation emails and texts, including on the day before. Our pick up time was between 8 and 9 AM and the driver showed up right outside where they said they would be. He picked up our bags, printed out the airline luggage tags and put them on right there (confirmed our boarding passes and passports) and took our bags away. We got an email confirmation they were delivered to the airline. When we got to JFK, the bags were on the conveyer. Totally worth it. Highly recommend.

We got off our cruise in Iceland at 9am and our flight wasn’t until almost 8pm. Since we didn’t want to haul our luggage everywhere we booked this and it was so incredibly easy and great for us. They sent a text letting us know when they were arriving, printed the airline luggage tags and sent further texts once they were dropped off at the airport and on the conveyer belt for the airline. Highly recommend and would definitely use them again!

We were told there were lockers at the Bus Terminal in Reykjavik so we got the free shuttle from the cruise terminal. We planned to store our luggage and look around the city. When we got there we found we could also check in to our flight plus have our baggage transferred directly to our flight to Toronto. Sounded perfect! And it was until I got a confirming email that the bags were loaded onto our flight to Chicago. Yikes! I tried communicating via the chat function to no avail. We finally found an Icelandair agent at the airport who confirmed, from our baggage claim stickers, that it was indeed loaded on our flight to Toronto. And it was right there where we got to our destination. Maybe just a glitch. I'd use them again if they were available in other locations.

Great way to off load luggage on the last day of a cruise. They made it easy and we didn't carry luggage all day.

Great luggage pick up experience. They were right outside our cruise terminal and easy to find. The process was simple. Luggage was successfully transported to airport and checked in. Received email with photos of luggage being checked in.

Extremely easy and convenient pickup, along with status photos throughout the process. Didn’t have to worry about our baggage while we continued to explore before going to the airport. Would recommend to anyone.

All airports/airlines should have this kind of service. We were able to spend more time in Reykjavik after our cruise disembarked instead of waiting for long hours at the KEF airport. Our flight was departing at 5 pm in the afternoon. Bagbee was a little late in picking up our luggages but they communicated with us the whole time where they were. A lot of their crew (5 or so) picked up our group luggages and gave us our Iceland Air claim tickets. We saw our luggages back in our US port of entry already. I highly recommend this service.

Super convenient and easy to book and check bags, avoided a huge hassle at airport and freed up for exploring on last day of a cruise

This nervous American wanted to spend a few more hours in Reykjavik…so I reached out to Bagbee via website and decided to take a chance. Our arrival at the port found us about 15 minutes away from the main port entrance. Would have preferred a closer pickup location but we managed to meet the Bagbee van on time with 4 luggage bags in tow! We were given an exact meet up location 24 hours before our disembarkation and a phone number to contact the driver. We did call and friendly Benedict answered and assured us he was almost to the Port of Reykjavík meetup location. Once we connected, our bags were tagged with Icelandair baggage claim tags with bar codes to ensure delivery through to Orlando Florida! Once Benedict secured our bags, we left to enjoy 4 more touring hours in the city! On way to the airport, I was relieved to see our luggage following us like little ducks just as promised! Upon our arrival at the Keflavík International Airport, we ran into Benedict again and he assured us our luggage was already checked to head to America! As promised, we received an email confirmation stating that our bags were safely in the hands of Icelandair. I can’t even begin to state how thrilled we were with this service. When we returned to Iceland, we will certainly contract Bagbee to handle our luggage again! Thank you!

Proces is so simple. Representative met us at the cruise terminal, scanned our boarding pass, printed out luggage tags and took our bags to the airport and checked them in. Next time we saw them was at our home airport. We could be luggage free and tour Reykjavík as we had a late flight.

Other than confusion about pick up time, luggage transport to the airport was smooth.

So easy and convenient!! At first I balked at the cost, but after arriving at KEF and being able to walk past the baggage check-in line, I felt it was money well spent. The driver was friendly and communicative (he called that he was running early and asked if an early pickup was ok ) Photo of baggage at check-in was greatly appreciated. We arrived at our destination in the States to find our bags safe and sound. We checked four bags between the two of us, costing about $120 or so. Well worth it!! It was so nice to spend our last day in Reykjavik wandering around not having to worry about luggage. Caught the Flybus to the airport when we were ready. The whole process was slick and easy. I'd use Bagbee again and highly recommend their service.

This made our airport experience so much easier and allowed us to site see with ease before heading to our flight. They showed up when they said they would, the van was clearly marked and it was a reasonable price for the service. Checked bags only though. If you have a carry on, you have to lug that with you.

We used BagBee because of an early cruise ship exit and a evening flight out of Reykjavík. They were efficient, on time and allowed us a luggage free day to explore the city. When dropping your luggage with the representative, it is just like checking it in at the airport. You receive bag tag receipts and don’t see your luggage again until you arrive in your home country. I would recommend this company in service without reservation.

Luggage was picked up right at the hotel exactly on time from what we were given. Quick, friendly and easy experience even for a group with 5 bags. Process was seamless, we just handed over the bags and no longer had to worry about luggage and received photos of each bag being checked in.

An absolutely wonderful service. This idea is very innovative and so convenient when travelling. Everything went according to plan: the representative picked up the suitcase at the agreed time, and the formalities were very simple. Thanks to BagBee, I didn't have to get up in the middle of the night next day to check in my luggage at dawn (I had an early flight). I also purchased the suggested Fast Track option from BagBee, which was a great decision, because it turned out that the airport was extremely crowded, with many flights departing. The price for the quality of this service (which also includes not having to carry luggage and peace of mind at the airport) is very reasonable. Of course, I picked up my luggage without any problems at the destination airport. Brilliant! What's more, and very importantly, the communication was excellent throughout, the staff responded to emails very quickly and found solutions to some problems (which I encountered with MY email). To sum up: very good communication, very patient and polite staff, a great idea for a service in itself, and excellent execution. I would very much like to see similar options at other airports. There are 5 stars, but I would gladly give 10.

Wow, what a difference this service made for us! We’re a family of five heading on a ski vacation with a total of eight bags, four ski bags and four conventional bags. The bags were picked up the day before departure, which meant we could avoid long lines and go straight to security at the airport. Everything was completely seamless and professional, and the price was very reasonable. We highly recommend this fantastic service!

Great service. Happened to hear about this service on a FaceBook post just before we traveled to Iceland the first week in December. The Iceland bus system is very good overall but you have to drag your suitcases to and from the airport. Not fun, especially in the wind and snow. BagBee solved half of the problem by picking up our suitcases at our hotel and delivering them to our departing airline. They checked our passport and boarding passes at the hotel and provided claim checks for our bags. The BagBee app keep us up to date on their progress to the airport including pictures. The next time we saw our bags was on the baggage claim conveyor at our home airport. Well worth the cost!

Love this service and wish we had it in the US. I used this on my last Iceland trip too. They came right to my hotel, picked up my luggage, and checked it in. Then I could use my last day for sightseeing without dragging bags around. Added bonus—at airport you can skip the long check in line and just head for security!

Professional, on time and very convenient! Highly recommended service. I put my luggage one day before my trip. 24 hrs before my trip, I checked in and sent my boarding pass through email. They immediately printed the barcode on my luggage and sent it. I didn’t have to go the check in desk. When I arrived to my destination my luggage was waiting for me!

Using this service was easy and convenient, and our bags arrived at our destination as they were supposed to. That’s all.

This is an awesome service, especially if you are traveling alone as a senior citizen! They came to the hotel on time, checked in my bags, gave me the stickers for pick up, and took them to the airport and checked them in. Sent me a confirmation photo to show the bags on the belt. I was able to bypass the enormous crowds checking in (no wonder they tell you 3hours!) and there were five people at security, so I breezed thru. Easiest travel experience in my 52 years of traveling and I give Bagbee a big thumbs up for making it so!

Excellent service so I did not have to bother with my bags the next day at the airport. My baggage handlers were running behind but they called and let me know when they would be coming.

Everything from making the reservation to picking up my luggage at my home airport in the states went smoothly. My partner and I were met on time at the Reykjavik cruise port, checked in our bags with Bagbee and were able to get to the airport without handling cumbersome suitcases. We used BagBee to take our luggage from the cruise port to the airport so we could tour Reykjavik before leaving on our flight home in the late afternoon. The driver showed up on time and checked in our bags. When he checked them in at the airport, he sent us pictures to show them on the scale with our name on the screen. And best of all, they arrived at our destination! This was a great service.
