Fantastic experience. Doris our instructor was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of time in the water. I choose wet suit so I could dive under. Doris gave great tips how to dive in a wetsuit.
Extremely rushed - the driver who picked us up drove like maniac in bad weather in order to meet a entry deadline - they rushed everyone through the fit out stage and so called safety briefing and then straight into the water - never felt safe through the whole process- to cap it off the exit process is just as rushed and the same driver speeded back and even managed to text someone whilst driving - I’m sure they’re are better providers than these cowboys 😢

Doris was fantastic! She was really funny and super clear about all the directions. Made the trip so fun. Great about getting cool photos too, so if you want proof you were between tectonic plates and look like you’re having a time, better hope she’s leading your group! It was easy to find the location, and the snorkel experience is just a short (very short) walk from where you meet. Suiting up was really quick but our group was fairly able-bodied and efficient. We were in dry suits and stayed pretty warm. Will definitely do this again - totally worth it and one of the best activities you can do on the Golden Circle.

We had the best time with our tour guide, Anil! He made the process of getting our dry suits on so easy. We also appreciated how attentive he was with our daughters to make sure they were safe. This was an incredible experience!!!

We had a great time. Dory was very patient and informative. The queue to enter was not long. The experience was one of a lifetime. With all the gear in the drysuits we did not get cold or wet. I recommend this experience.

Our guide informed us that the morning is a busier time, so we did wait in a queue, but it moved efficiently and we didn’t mind! Doris was our guide and she was AMAZING! Dory was a super helpful and knowledgeable guide. All of our equipment was prepared and she was able to guide us through our snorkeling adventure. I highly recommend her and this experience!
It was a top experience. Ines, our guide, was the best explaining very well what we were about to do and how, and she was checking on us during the hole thing. She could explain in english, spanish and french but she also speaks dutch. At the end of it we got the hot chocolate, just what we needed after the cold water.
Could not do the activity, suits & gears provided were old , torn and not feasible . In today’s world of comfort and high performance they still use rubber chocker bands on neck to make the suit leak proof, tight rubber bands on wrist which chocks blood flow, tight rubber neck bands which is not feasible to wear. I think they should be banned to use these suits else someone will definitely die. My money went into drain. “No response from get your guide or activity provider even after several complaints “

We booked the 12 o'clock slot and got a small group of three people with our tour guide Ines. The experience takes 3h, of which 30-40 minutes are spent in the water snorkeling between two tectonic plates. After a short introduction and medical questionnaire, you get helped into your dry suit and head to the starting point where you get some quick instructions on how to behave while in the water. The views are breathtaking and you get many photos taken of you. After you get to warm up with a hot drink of choice. This experience is an absolute must do and qas made even better by having our wonderful guide Ines.
An awesome experience with ace tour guide Kaya, who is extremely capable and a lot of fun. We have done a lot of diving, and Silfra is a unique adventure. Highly recommend Adventure Vikings, and Kaya is fantastic.

Just WOW !! Arnil,our guide, was super friendly and very reassuring seeing as we were about to go snorkeling in gla ial melt water with an outdoor temperature of minus 5degrees C. What a fabulous view though. The clarity of the water and rock structures were breathtaking. I really recommend this to anyone looking for a unique experience. The water wasn't as a cold as the air temperature, but despite the stunning views, 40minutes snorkeling was time enough in the cold, before being recharged with hot chocolate.
Everything was amazing. Our guide was so awesome and helpful and made us feel at ease, not to mention patiently herding us around like kindergartners getting all 5 of us into our gear. I was the only one wearing a westsuit to everyone else’s dry suit and I was kept pretty warm, except my feet. Going in January we were super lucky to not see too many people (well actually we had the whole place to ourselves, and we even had some sun!) I’m sorry I didn’t get our guides name but she was from Poland and so cool! Thanks! This mermaid really enjoyed herself!
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the snorkelling session with Dory, it was a unique experience that we’re glad took part in. Dory explained everything very well, provided gear to size, made sure everyone understood the safety measures, took underwater pictures and made sure everything was in order. 5 stars well deserved, would recommend this experience to everyone.

Unforgettable experience, crystal clear glacial waters at 2 degrees centigrade. Doris was fantastic. She helped us don our dry suits to ensure great fit. She explained the equipment well and the simples techniques we might need to clear our masks/snorkells during the snorkel tour of Silfra. We were even fortunate to see an Atlantic Char swimming deep in the fissure. I was worried it might be too cold to complete the 30-40 min tour but I had no problems. Doris took lots of photos and we were amazed they were uploaded the next day. A small and tasty cup of hot chocolate was brought to the changing van once we had doffed our diving suits.
What a great experience! Doris was the best! She’s really helpfull and she even spotted a big blue fish! Liked her humor and she makes the best hot chocos of the island!!
This is a wonderful experience and Anil made it easy, explaining and helping each step of the way. Due to the extreme cold water, you have to wear a dry-suit, which was a new experience for us. Once in the water, you have an incredible view of the rock formations and plant/algae growths in the fissure. Lots of colors. Definitely recommend contact lenses if you normally wear glasses.
What an incredible experience!! The water, our guide Dory, the Golden Circle area, the snorkeling- everything was AMAZING! Dory made sure we were well equipped and well prepared before she led us into the very chilly water, then she photographed and led with expertise and humor! She’s fabulous! We highly advise adding this adventure to anyone’s trip!! (If you see Dory tell her we said hey!)
