That the Guide was not efficient, did not help the tourists with pointing out interesting sights on the way. No information was provided to the tourists! Could not see Northern Lights but an offer to show them the next day did not happen! A waste of time and money!

Itinerary
The ship sets sails from Reykjavík’s Old Harbour and during your journey, you’ll sail among the small islands in the Faxaflói Bay, as well as along the coast of Reykjavík, providing you with a fantastic view of the city as you search for the wildlife in the water. The most common sights are minke and humpback whales, dolphins, and porpoises. However, there is always a chance to spot a few orcas (also known as killer whales) as well as a wealth of other species. The professional team onboard is very experienced in spotting whales and is dedicated to making sure their passengers leave with a smile!

Enthusiastic knowledgeable guide who made the whole experience much more enjoyable. And the Northern Lights were fabulous
We, unfortunately didn’t get to go on the boat. They gave us ample notice and refunded my money right away. They had also given us the option to reschedule. It just didn’t work with our itinerary. I would definitely book with them again.
Quaint restaurant & bar, very seaworthy craft & crew. Entertaining MC. Smooth ride despite choppy seas
Weather was hit an miss and also solar activity so there was very little to see and after an hour it just felt id paid to sit on a boat for 2 hours which id of preferred if they had just took us back to Reykjavik rather than keep us on the boat for the duration to see nothing i get its not there fault we didn’t see them but just keeping people sat on the boat for 2 hours was pointless at that time of night
Amazing trip klaudia was our tour guide for the night she was lovely so helpful and informative. Would definatly recommend this trip. Wrap up warm though gets really cold
While we didn’t see the northern lights on this trip, the crew were fantastic, pointing out constellations etc When we left they told us too come back as we hadn’t seen the lights … Fast forward 2 years and I emailed asking if the offer still applied. They replied quickly and we were able to go while on a return visit. We saw an amazing display and again the crew were fantastic.
We went out on the first night but unfortunately didn't see anything however we got to rebook for free and thankfully got to see them ❤️ Maria the guide was fantastic, very informative as well as helpful (she would kindly take lots of photos for everyone!) The boat was very clean and cosy inside, lots of blankets to keep you warm on the cold nights at sea!
best place to see the lights is on the water, no driving for hours chasing them on land. best bits first - boat is really warm, no chop in the bay. good price. safety first from the crew, really good. we saw the lights so that was great! free re-book if you dont. only negative was the organising. but assume as its low season was killing 2 birds with one stone. you meet in their bar but its nit well communicated. we actually went to the wrong office and the rival company - who's boat isnt as good - told us where to go! overall would highly recommend!
Very easy to find tickets and boat. We were very fortunate as lights were all around us and very easy to see/photograph.
Very friendly and helpful guides on the boat, we were lucky enough to experience the beauty of the northern lights on our tour, amazing! The yacht was lovely, warm and cosy inside with a spacious viewing deck. Definitely recommend.
Excellent trip. Staff were brilliant and kept us informed of sightings of the Northern lights. Unfortunately didn’t get to see much - just a faint green spot above the mountain only visible through camera lens but enjoyed the trip anyway. Blankets provided. Warm inside areas with bar. Original trip cancelled due to weather conditions but we were given option of refund or rebooking. Pleased we rebooked because even though the lights weren’t great, it was still an enjoyable trip and great experience.
They don't go out very far so you are always in sight of land and ambient light. It made it harder to see good Aurora and it was the night everyone in the US could see fabulous lights. Beautiful yacht.
This was a very good tour. The boat was very clean and well maintained. There was a fully stocked bar and beverage area with a helpful bartender. Bathrooms were clean and the cabin areas were warm and cozy on the cold arctic night. On our trip we saw spectacular northern lights and our guide was very helpful with photography and a narration. We would highly recommended this one.
Well we was so lucky to see unreal views of the northern lights took loads of pictures well worth it another must do trip in Iceland and totally lovely staff on the boat thanks for the memories Dean & Emma
Once we saw the lights, the boat stayed out longer in order to give us a great experience. Nice and warm insuder!
-Great views of the Northern Lights and Islands. -Friendly and knowledgeable staff. *Can become very cold over the water. Be sure to bundle up.
Very lucky to see the lights, tour guide Isabella was amazing. Incredible experience for us to see and tick off the bucket list. Thank you!
Never happened they canceled onus last minute And we learned from other people that they went on another northern light trip and they were able to see it on the same night really disappointed
Disappointed the tour wasn't cancelled as it was very cloudy and rainy last night. The people were very nice but I think if there's such a poor chance of seeing the lights it should've been canceled. Instead we're told we can come back with in 3 years and try again.
Great way to chase the northern lights! A bit difficult to get long exposure pictures of the lights when on a rocking boat, but we had a great time regardless and got to watch the lights mode and dance for almost an hour!
While the boat was comfortable and the crew were helpful providing background on the northern lights we were unsuccessful for the entirety of our trip to see the lights… I would suggest waiting to arriving in Iceland before booking this excursion and while you can rebook while there and for up to three years for us this was a bust
Perfect everything! Information, warm cozy insides of the boat. Plenty of room on the decks for pictures.
The whole ride up for this experience is misleading starting with the picture of the yacht and all the northern lights around it. Then it says we’re gonna sail out past islands to where there’s no light pollution in reality. All we did was sale a couple of minutes out into the harbor, there was tons of light pollution, making it pretty much impossible to see anything but a little bit of white mist. The crew did a good job trying to convince you that you were seeing something, but it was nothing like the write up or images would make you believe very disappointing.
This is the poorest organisation we’ve ever seen. It is said that the meet point and the tour starts at 10pm on some old bar but no one tells you that the ship is actually going at 10pm. No one could tell you the exact location where to find it. We had to run through the harbour to find it and just saw it on the other end going. The dude in this place was out of space and could not explain anything normal. Waste of money and nerves for something that was expected to be so beautiful yet missed by poor organisation . Save your money
I never thought you had to use your camera to see the northern lights. I enjoyed the experience tho.
Wasted money, wasted time. Tried this tour Christmas week 2024. I get the feeling they don’t take the boat out far enough so that folks keep paying for more attempts. Both nights we attempted, they anchored the boat at a distance where you could clearly see the city and the skyline lights. How could that area possibly be dark enough for the NL?? Lame. Plus, the check-in spot (before boarding) is buried in a barely marked restaurant/bar. Weird setup.
Since the weather is always changing our tour got postponed a few nights. The operator was excellent in communicating the change of plans and we were able to rebook once the weather cleared up. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable giving tips for taking photos and directing us where to look. It was a very peaceful end to the trip and would absolutely recommend. For those who get seasick, the bay was calm and the ride was very smooth. And we got to see the most amazing display of the lights over the city.
Booking was rescheduled to April 6th and transportation never showed up at the hotel. We waited for 1 hour
The guide gave a very detailed introduction to the Northern Lights and informed everyone when they appeared. They also taught us how to capture them in photos. It was an amazing experience! The inside of the boat was also very warm, which I really liked.
Great info, perfect amount of time, cozy/comfortable boat with plenty of room. The captain (?) was informative and engaging. The lights weren’t actually visible with the naked eye that night but he talked us through using our phones to capture the lights.
Disappointing. I expected yacht to go further away from the harbor and away from the city lights. This was not worth it.
We got to see the lights and was very nice being able to sit inside & warm while we waited for the crew yo tell us when it was visible.
It was truly a dream come true, helpful guides, smooth water, amazing magical light display. Grateful
This tour was well-organised and I would recommend it. We did see the Northern Lights but they were quite faint and not really visible with the naked eye so the tour company offered everyone a trip on another day which we thought was a nice touch. We didn't take them on their offer as (i) we did see the lights and (ii) not really fair on them as they can't control a natural phenomenon. We sat on the top deck and yes it was freezing so do wear your thermals! Below deck it was warm and there was a bar.
Great experience, saw the northern lights inside the cabin and outside, spacious, good friendly staff
What an incredible sight to see! The yacht tour was easy to get to and instructions were pretty simple. They had snacks and beverages available aboard. Get there early if you want a comfortable seat inside. But on deck is where it's most exciting. We were fortunate to see the lights the first night out. It was definitely beneficial coming with all cold gear (think gaiters and insulsted, windproof material). One of the best highlights of our trip!
You aren't always guaranteed to see the northern lights, but the captain always keeps you updated and aims to stay out so you get the chance
The crew was great! Very knowledgeable and the boat and staff was excellent. Highly impressed! It was so beautiful and an excellent way to experience the Northern Lights
Great experience. The yacht had a bar, blankets and heating onboard and the staff were very pleasant
Lovely yacht, great tour with amazing views of the lights. Our tour guide was great and knew what to look for. I would recommend this tour over the bigger boat
Staff so helpful. Boat was clean and comfortable lucky to see some lights. From start to Finish was a good experience
A perfect way to experience the northern lights. The yacht was gorgeous and plenty of space inside and out. Loved it
None. Very confusing check in. Limited sitting we sat downstairs next to very stinky toilet room. We sat in the bay for about 45 minutes "hunting for the northern lights" how can you hunt if you are in one place.
Although we were unable to see the lights during our tour, I did want to write a review for the staff. We had a lovely boat to ride on with three levels available for seating and walking around the boat. We originally chose to sit on the top of the boat for 30-45 minutes before getting too cold. The crew offered blankets to everyone for warmth and constantly walked around to check on everyone. They played music throughout and also gave us the history of the area. We were on the water for about 2 hours before having to go back to shore. Since we were unable to see the lights, they offered everyone on board a chance to email the company a different date to come back and see the lights again.
Unfortunately the northern lights didn’t cooperate but the boat was lovely. Crew was friendly and professional.
Tour should have been cancelled due to weather. Seas were extremely rough and really no chance to see the lights.
Not the experience we expected but a whale came to say hello. Personally think the artic boat is a better setup and nicer toilet facilities. Without aurora it’s just a nice evening cruise in Reykjavik bay. Very kind the operator gives you another chance but 2 times trying is enough in a week. Definitely some luck coming into play for it to be truly magical
Terrible weather, blizzard like conditions, company probably should have postponed the trip. We did not see any lights. Very choppy water due to wind and captain had terrible time redocking on the return trip.
The guide said there was 50/50 chance of seeing the Northern Lights. A relative said seeing them is rare, having lived there 15 years. Altho Reykjavik is absolutely stunning & quaint with friendly people….the wind & cold are quite daunting, especially on the yacht!! The upside is the tour company offers 3 years to go on the yacht tour again if you don’t see the Lights.
