When I booked this, I did so due to the amount of time spent at each location so it wasn’t rushed! I prefer small group tours and we were truly able to enjoy each stop rather than rushing around. Waterfalls were unreal!! Guide was very friendly and factual about Iceland

Itinerary
First stop of the day is the iconic Seljalandsfoss. A jaw dropping majestic sight with the possibility to walk behind the waterfall! After enjoying Seljalandsfoss we take a short hike to its neighbour Gljúfrarbúi (The one who lives in the mountain) to marvel it´s beauty. Like the name implies, the waterfall is hidden inside the mountain but easy to find, once you know the route.
On we go to the village of Vík í Mýrdal, an astonishing small village and probably one of the most photographed settlements in Iceland. The iconic church is seen in all the photo ads, and the view from the church is breathtaking. We take our lunch break there before continuing our travels.
The black sand beach of Reynisfjara is one of the biggest attraction in Iceland and the iconic Reynisdrangar cliffs, sticking out from the sea. Be careful, the tides can sneak up on you.
We take a walk on the wild side towards the glaciers and gently place our feet at the edge. Take a selfie and voila, we can claim to have stepped on to a glacier.
The majestic Skógarfoss waterfall is 60 meters high no less. One can spend hours staring at it. We will spend 30 minutes doing so

If you are looking to go on a once in a lifetime trip, don’t go with Viator. They tell you one thing and then change or just don’t bother to show up. Was supposed to go 5 places for an hour each and the one place I really wanted to go the bus driver just decided we didn’t need to do more than 10 min in the parking lot of a church instead of seeing the lava show as I had planned. Next day bus driver didn’t even bother to show up for my tour. Waited over an hour in the cold and rain and all they would say was so sorry maybe you can go tomorrow. Who plans a trip, gets up early, dresses in tons of layers, walks to the bus stop stands there in the rain and wind and just says oh yah of course I have nothing to do for 11 hours now but sit in a room with NOTHING to do on my last day!! Viator you guys really let me down a bunch and I don’t think I’ll use your company again. Sounded like I wasn’t the only one that felt this way after talking to a few people. BEWARE THEY DONT CARE!!!!!
I had an amazing time on my South Coast Sights Tour. The tour guide Siggi was great! He was very knowledgeable about the locations and told so many great stories along the way. I received an email the night before with info about the van, license plate and driver which was nice since there are so many different vans picking people up for different tours. The tour was conducted by EastWest Tours Iceland and not Simply Iceland like it says on here. The order of the day is also different from what it says. Despite the change it was still a great day! The USB plugs on the bus truly make the day less stressful since you can charge your devices between each stop to make sure you have enough power for all your photos and videos. After a short pitstop and bathroom break on the way, we started the day at Skógafoss and got to see it with blue skies and a rainbow! Next was Reynisfjara Beach where we got a safety briefing about the waves. This was also our lunch spot. The Black Beach Restaurant has lots of options but I had a hotdog from the stand right next to it. After lunch we stopped at Vik for a short photo moment at the church and the view of the village. Our next stop was the Solheimajokull Glacier. The description on here says “gently place our feet at the edge. Take a selfie and voila, we can claim to have stepped on to a glacier.” I don’t see where this would have happened. It was a long walk to get down closer to the glacier but I didn’t see where we could get close enough to step on to it as it was across the water. Lastly we went to the Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrarbúi Waterfalls. The whole reason I booked this specific tour was because the description specifically included the Gljúfrarbúi Waterfall and I was so happy that I got to see it! Luckily the line wasn’t too long as it was mostly people waiting for others to come back out one by one through the rocky water. After getting some photos there, I walked over to Seljalandsfoss and walked behind the waterfall. You definitely need your waterproof clothing for these two waterfalls. This was a fantastic day and tour! Definitely recommend!
It was a great tour and the driver was not only knowledgeable but planned the stops and had great ideas about what time to stop for best sunlight, views, etc.
This south coast tour was absolutely fantastic, mainly due to Leroy, our driver and guide. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. We learnt so much about Iceland, because of him. One of the highlights of the tour, was going behind the waterfall. Simply amazing. If every guide was like Leroy, tours would be even more enjoyable. We can’t thank him enough for all he did for us and making our day so special.
Wonderful excursion. Our guide, Gon, was outstanding in every way! We did not feel rushed, he shared great information, and took such good care of us. Loved each stop!
Even though it was a very rainy day, the tour was wonderful and our guide made it fun. Unlike some other tours (non-Viator) we had plenty of time at each stop. The driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area and made the drive a very memorable experience. Also, the price is very reasonable and 1/3rd of what the cruise line wanted to charge. Though it is a long tour, it was broken up in a way to allow for bathroom breaks. We have never gone wrong with Viator!
The Iceland South Coast sites small group tour that we went on was fantastic! It was done by East West Tours and our tour guide was Martin. Martin was a wealth of Icelandic folklore, knowledge about all the sites we saw, and Icelandic statistics! We couldn’t have had a better tour guide! If you booked this tour, I recommend you ask for Martin !💙 Godafoss Falls is spectacular. the black sand Beach is amazing, the church in Vik is a great viewing point, and the Sólheimajökull Glacier was incredible!!!
It was great. Ionut was helpful and gracious!¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great tour. Our guide was very informative and pointed out many things as we were driving. All of the stops were good. Our guide watched the weather and mixed up the order to save us from hitting the best sights in the rain
Great tour with a real mixture of sights. Small comfortable bus. Best of all was the guide - Michaela - who has a great sense of humour; kept us well informed; and kept checking the weather reports to rearrange the order of sights visited. She was brilliant. She also allowed just the right amount of time at each stop - long enough that you didn't feel rushed, but short enough that you weren't kicking your heels. Do take waterproofs for the waterfall visits!
The best tour we did in Iceland. Excellent guide, comfortable bus and great locations. Wished we had booked our other tours with Eastwest.
This was an enjoyable day trip! Our guide, Oscar, was top notch. He shared a lot of interesting facts during our drives between stops. The south coast landscape is incredible and not to be missed. I had my elder mother with me and she was able to participate in everything except walking behind the waterfall. She was happy to sit and watch the waterfall. Plenty of time was spent at each site with opportunities to buy coffee, lunch or snacks along the way. Highly recommended!
Leroy with Easywest did a great job with our tour today! He was energetic and entertaining and we learned a lot! The time at each location gave tourists ample exploring/eating opportunities! My favorite spots were the black sand beach and the secret waterfall!
Very informative and friendly. Bus was very comfortable and had convenient bathroom stops. Rodger made the experience a once in a lifetime memory, making Iceland enchanting.
It was beautiful. Driver was friendly and informative when asked specific questions. Highly recommend doing this tour.
Iceland is breathtaking, and this tour captured everything I dreamed of! Thingvellir’s rugged landscapes, the mesmerizing eruption of Geysir, and the soul-soothing beauty of Gullfoss it was all perfect. And just when I thought the day couldn’t get better, Arnar "Thor" took us to Efstidalur farm for the best ice cream ever. The scenery, the stories, and the adventure made this a day I’ll never forget!
I knew Iceland would be beautiful, but this tour left me speechless! Gestur was the perfect guide he made history come alive with his Viking tales and passion for his country. Every stop felt like stepping into a postcard, from the stunning rift at Thingvellir to the powerful rush of Gullfoss. And the little things, like petting animals at Efstidalur farm, made this experience even more special. Highly recommend!
From start to finish, this tour was breathtaking. Thingvellir National Park felt like stepping into a fairytale, and Geysir left me in awe every time it erupted. But the real highlight? Standing near Gullfoss, feeling the mist on my face it was a moment I’ll never forget. Arni, our guide, was fantastic, making the entire trip fun, informative, and full of laughs. Iceland, you have my heart!
