Although it’s really regrettable that we didn’t have the luck to witness the dazzling dance of the northern lights, we had a taste of waiting in the dark, cold, and broadly wide field under the sky stargazing and sipping hot chocolate, which was also unique and beautiful. We especially appreciated the driver driving us to our abode with his own car after knowing that my mom was exhausted and old and there’s no public transportation at 2 am. He’s so kindhearted and will always remind us the safest country as well as the beauty and brilliance of humanity of Icelanders.

The bus was delayed for over 40 minutes due to heating issues and waiting to pick up passengers missed from another tour. We could only drive to a place close to the city with lots of lights around because the aurora already exploded while we were waiting and driving to a close location. Very disappointed by the arrangement as I don’t understand why we should wait for other tour’s customers and sacrificed the whole bus’s opportunity to see the peak.

I am an expert at chasing the northern lights, and this tour was a massive letdown. The logistics were a mess. We arrived at 10:00 PM but waited over 40 minutes because three people didn't show up and they were trying to consolidate passengers from other agencies. Standard practice is to leave on time; instead, they penalized those of us who were punctual. During our wait, a large area of high aurora activity (the red zone) peaked, and we missed half of it just sitting in the bus. The driver even gave us false information, stating there was no activity. When we finally parked, the location was poorly chosen—too close to bright city lights because they didn't have time to drive further. We were rushed to get out and only had 10-20 minutes during the strongest display. We were back at our hotel by 1:00 AM, making the total tour time less than the 4 hours we paid for. Very unprofessional and not a true aurora chasing experience.

Unfortunately, our experience with the Northern Lights tour was very disappointing. The tour was cancelled on the first day due to weather, and we were told we would be placed on the excursion the following day. However, the next day we received a call saying the tour was fully booked and we could not go because we were leaving the day after. Instead of offering a proper solution, we were given vouchers for a future tour. But for visitors who may not return to Iceland anytime soon, this is not a real solution. It feels unfair to keep customers’ money without providing the experience that was promised. While we understand that Northern Lights tours depend on weather, the company should reserve space for guests whose tours were cancelled the previous day. Unfortunately, this was not the case for us.

First, before I booked, I specifically asked whether that night would be a “small group or big group”. Your staff replied that it would “most likely be a small group”. However, only after I had paid and confirmed the booking was I told that it was actually a big group. Giving inconsistent information on such an important point feels misleading. Second, the pick‑up was not on time at all. I was told to be at bus stop 12 at 21:00. I arrived on time, but the bus did not show up until 21:20. During this period there was no proactive phone call or clear update about the real arrival time, just a vague message that “the maximum waiting time is 30 minutes”. We were left standing in the cold wind for 20 minutes, which is really unprofessional. After we failed to see the Northern Lights on the first tour, your team contacted me on WeChat and Xiaohongshu and asked me which date I wanted to reschedule to. I clearly told you the dates and answered several follow‑up questions, only to be told in the end that I still had to send an email to your official address to change the booking. Then what was the point of all the previous back‑and‑forth? It wasted time and made your process look very disorganized. Throughout the conversation, the customer service agent repeatedly sent exaggerated “sweating / speechless” style stickers. When I was already worried about the weather and the rescheduling, these stickers felt sarcastic rather than comforting, and made me even more upset. I strongly suggest that you provide proper training to your customer service staff so they know how to communicate professionally when there are delays or issues, and how to show basic respect for customers’ feelings instead of just sending random emojis. To be fair, both tour guides and drivers on the two Northern Lights tours were very nice and professional, and we did see the aurora on the second trip. Based on the product and the frontline staff alone, I would be happy to recommend your tours. Please don’t let one poorly trained customer service agent ruin the whole travel experience for your guests and harm your company’s reputation.

The entire group has rich experience. The driver and tour guide able to find a perfect spot for observing Northern light and they provide considering services for the entire trip. Highly recommended!

Although I couldn't see my dream "Aurora Super Invincible Burst" this time because of the weather, I also met a very moving Aurora that will leave unforgettable travel memories in my mind. This trip to Iceland's Aurora was amazing! The guide Zheng Xuan's sister must be praised for her professionalism and warmth. She accurately prejudges aurora spots, patiently explains Icelandic knowledge, takes pictures with first-class technology, and warms up her baby and hot drinks, feeling safe throughout.

Super great experience. Although the weather is generally thick with clouds, it's really romantic to try to find gaps in the clouds and see the aurora. This trip to Aurora Chase really exceeded expectations!
