Easy way to get to and from the airport. If you have questions I'd call and not email though, it seems to be auto me ated responses via email. The workers running the shuttle as to be at the bus station are very helpful.
On the ticket it says from hotel to the airport. We didn't know we are supposed to do a transfer at BSI bus terminal. After driving past the terminal for 10 minutes, the driver realized we didn't get off. He threw a temper like a 6-year-old. Screaming and yelling at us for not getting off at the bus terminal. His unprofessional attitude put a dent on our travel experience to Iceland.
Easy pick up at local bus stop for transfer to the bus terminal. The buses are comfortable and I like having WiFi available.
This was so worth it! The bus picked us up from our hotel right on time and transported us to BSI terminal. We caught our bus and it was a smooth and safe ride to the airport. A great option for commuting to Keflavik airport.
The driver that picked me up from my hotel was patient, kind and super helpful. Exceptional customer service.
I was unable to schedule trip to the airport picking me up at the Reykjavik Fosshotel. You insisted there was no pickup there but had me going to a stop quite a ways away.......thankfully, the tour director Danielle for EF tours was able to get that fixed for me.
My travel experience was seamless! I was lucky enough to have a pick up site mere steps from my hotel, and for an early morning flight, it was absolutely worth getting the on-site hotel pickup instead of having to get yourself to BSI bus terminal. The timing was also to-the-minute and their timetables were extremely accurate. Will book again for future trips to Iceland
Prompt and reliable I would use them again if I needed them clean vehicle on time and great service price
This was horrible. You have to change buses at a bus terminal which is a sea of people. The bus was not clearly marked.
This is an easy, convenient and inexpensive way to travel to KEF. I have nothing else to say but there is a 100 character minimum.
The bus driver was polite and informative about the travel. Everything was done professionally and respectfully.
This hotel pickup to airport drop-off was a seamless experience. My hotel was located right beside one of the bus stop pickup points, which made it a breeze. The driver came within the specified time frame, drove us to the main bus terminal where a larger bus shuttled us to the airport. Highly recommend for a seamless and stress-free experience.
Originally, they were suppose to pick up at our hotel but the night before, they told us the pick up point was a nearby bus station. It was close but hard to navigate our luggage to it.
Very reliable service. You transfer from your hotel to the bus station in a mini or smaller bus then take a nice coach to the airport. The whole journey is very easy. I was worried that that little bus wouldn't turn up at 5am at the stop near the airport but it turned up as detailed in the text. The coach was full so it's important that you book your transfer. Very easy, clean and on time. Best for comfort and reliability.
Pick up time is confusing. It said 5.30am pick up time in large print. In small print says pick up is starting at 5am and lasting until 5.30am . We were at the stop at 5.10am. They would not give us a credit and it cost 185.00 for a taxi to the airport. Check your ppick up times carefully. They are confusing.
Honestly I wouldn’t suggest you take the bus to the airport. You have to wait in any kind of weather outside. They use a grace period of 30 minutes. It’s not worth it. I’m a travel agent and wouldn’t suggest this to my clients.
Easy to navigate. Bus was waiting as soon as we arrived at the terminal. Made getting to/from the airport easy.
Fly bus had many changes to pick ups on Saturday. The marathon was going so it was crazy. We missed the first pick up place, but I called them and they made arrangements for us to be picked up later. Great service, and the transportation was great to get back to the airport
good experience, everything went well from the pickup at the hotel to the drop off at the airport!!!
Although still costly, this is the best way to go, especially if traveling solo... taxis are beyond expensive! It is also helpful to understand the process. You'll be picked up from your starting location, but then are typically dropped off at the bus terminal for transport to your specific destination. In this case, it was hotel to bus terminal, then terminal to airport.
Pick up easy. Was able to be picked up at a bus stop. Didn’t really care for the transfer at the main bus station however, cause I had to remove all the luggage and reload it.
communication before the event was good and the expereince was easy, stress free, and reasonably priced.
Efficient, easy on line booking, ride, transfer and drop off to KEF from our hotel in Reykjavik. The driver gave a friendly farewell.
They are very prompt. It was easy to get to the meeting point following instructions and there customer service was great when we had to change our pickup time.
On time and a comfortable ride to the airport.
Not a lot of space for luggage, be prepared to load /unload on your own. Staff were very nice and overall the experience was good.
It is important to bear in mind that pick ups commence 30 mins before your time slot as ours was that. Really great service and slick operation to get all back to the airport.
it was unclear to me that the pickup point was at nearby bus stop rather than at the hotel. please be more forthright about this...thanks
I made arrangements to get to the airport from Reykjavik .... I didn't realize that when they picked me up from the corner they were taking me to a bus station to transfer .... they got the job done, but I had to ask a few people what was going on .... and the bus was full ... I saw many more people at the bus station than there were seats.
If you need transportation from KEF to the city, then take this! I highly advise to pay the extra and get the pickup from your hotel (bus stop close to your hotel which is only a 5 minute walk). Driver we had was fantastic in organizing the luggage, being so friendly and giving explicit instructions on where to catch the big bus to the airport. Great for families and the ride was so smooth. 50 minutes max
Good and reasonable way to get to and from KEF airport
The transportation was so smooth using flybus. Even having to go to a smaller bus stop to get picked up and taken to the bus depot was an easy experience. I was so nervous about this part of our trip but it couldn’t have been easier.
Convenient but a bit pricy…Quick, prompt, friendly, comfortable. Neat, clean busses. Friendly workers!!
I wasn’t aware it was a two-step process. The pickup from our hotel was to the main transfer station. Then we boarded another bus to the airport. Our airport driver was outstanding and we arrived in plenty of time.
The cheapest way to go to the airport. Flybus pick you up at a bus stop then to the station. There you ride the main bus to the airport. Easy peasy!
Bus on time. No stress delivery to airport. Luggage loaded for you. Dropped off at airport gate with no issues.
The pickup time is actually 30 minutes before the listed time. While the app does tell you this, it is easy to miss and not mentioned during booking. Missing the shuttle gives no backup option or ability to refund.
Be early! We were told pickup was at noon, but to be there half an hour early. It took us 10 minutes to find the bus stop from our hotel. By 11:45, we were on the bus! After that, it was smooth sailing. They also put heavy carryon bags in the hold.
Prompt at picking us up at our hotel. Plenty of room for luggage and very comfortable seating in the bus.
They don’t tell you that you must transfer to another shuttle at the bus terminal if you have the airport to hotel ticket. Otherwise, cheaper way to travel to city center. Runs on time. Better signage at airport would be helpful to find the bus.
Trip to the airport from Reykjavik was seamless
The transfer in Iceland to and from the airport was very smooth and we were able to see a lot of highlights along the way.
I was at the bus stop (#`14) 20 minutes prior to the 8am pick-up time and NO coach bus with logo "Iceland Airport Transfer" (as shown in the Viator advertisement) came. The details pertaining to the Viator details needs to specifically state that "FlyBus - Reykjivick Airport" needs to be clearer.
Pick up was prompt but with no information given. Didn't know we had to switch buses. Got us there on time
I had booked tis ride to the airport several months in advance. They confirmed it and charged my card a day ahead. We were to be picked up at our hotel between 800 830 am. We waited and no bus came. No one contacted us to walk to a bus Stop to be picked up.We had to take a very expensive taxi or we would have missed our flight! I want my money back and an apology!
Comfortable transport, best way to get back to the airport if you’ve got no car or dropped off your rental already
Only giving 3 stars because of our pickup experience. We booked a 4:30 a.m. pick up. We were standing at the bus stop at 4:00 a.m. At 5:15 a.m., a Reykjavik Excursions transport arrived at the bus stop. (yes, we were cold!) The driver didn't want to pick us up since our time was for 4:30 a.m. even though there were only 3 people total on the bus. We told him that a bus never arrived. The driver took us to the bus terminal where we loaded the big coach and departed for the airport. The Fly Bus system from bus terminal to airport is quite efficient. I'm just not so sure about the bus stop pick-ups?!
Iceland was very interesting. Food and beers excellent. People great. Accommodation excellent. We did arrange one tour through GetYourGuide but when push came to shove we were not notified of pick up times etc. I accidentally came across correspondence in a WhatsApp message - I never use this app. They had my phone number and email address but didn’t use them to contact me. Prior to finding this message, the day before the tour we rang them and they told us they had no record of our booking despite having deducted the fees from one of my cards. We promptly booked a different tour while trying to get a refund from GetYourGuide. They dissembled, claimed the refund would have to come from the bus company running the tour despite telling us they had no record of the booking. As it turned out the bus company (BusTravel Iceland from memory) and GetYourGuide would make no refund as we cancelled our non-booked paid for tour in under the 24 hour cut off time. The story goes on but suffice to say we were dudded and financially lightened by the tour companies. One the one hand, apparently we had not booked our tour despite paying for it and on the other they recognised we’d paid for it and wouldn’t refund us the moment they realized we cancelled and wanted our money back. Ultimately the bus company claimed they’d tried to contact me by email in plenty of time and their records showed I’d acknowledged the emails but as they said this, GetYourGuide fessed up they’d given them the wrong email address which simply bounced back when I tested it. Still they blamed each other and neither came to the party so we gave up. Money for jam on their part. The replacement tour company was terrific. Great communication and great service and good tour.
Great service! Transfer bus arrived on time. Driver loaded luggage and transfer to terminal was efficient. Main terminal coah was spacious and clean. Would easily choose this instead of private taxi to airport!
