David was great. We went to all the spots. Excellent tour guide. Funny and knowledgeable. The sights were great.

Awesome experience seeing the natural sites of the South Coast. The trip was made better by the narration of our guide, Smári. The local knowledge and lore brings the Icelandic culture to life. The tour was 10 hours but went by quickly since there were many stops to see the sites. Additionally, each stop had bathroom facilities and food/snack shops. Pick up was very convenient. EastWest communicated the night before with the vehicle information and plate number. This was a highlight of our Iceland trip!
Nice trip but way too expensive
What an incredible experience! Martin was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Iceland. He shared fascinating stories and historical facts throughout the journey, making the experience even more memorable. The stops were absolutely breathtaking, and the itinerary was perfectly organized, with just the right amount of time at each location to explore, take photos, and enjoy the scenery without feeling rushed. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Martin as your guide!
Our guide Gon was EXCELLENT. He made the South Coast trip come alive with his knowledge and stories. Highly recommend this experience. What a beautiful part of Iceland.
Fantastic tour itinerary with just the right balance of structure and free time to truly explore and experience Iceland. We were able to visit breathtaking waterfalls—complete with rainbows on a beautiful sunny day—as well as majestic glaciers and the dramatic black sand beaches. An unforgettable experience and a wonderful way to see the natural beauty of Iceland.
This tour company, EastWest, is the best one we had in Iceland. Free WiFi on the van. USB ports. Roomy seats. Punctual itinerary. Fabulous guise. (Gon). Would use them again.
**Amazing South Coast Small Group Day Tour!** We had a fantastic day on the South Coast Small Group Tour with Arctic Adventures. The sights were absolutely amazing, and the scenery throughout the day was breathtaking. Our guide and driver, Jakob, was excellent. He shared so many interesting facts about Iceland, the history, and the places we visited, which made the experience even more enjoyable. He also did a wonderful job managing a diverse group of travelers and keeping everything running smoothly. It was a memorable day and a wonderful way to experience the beauty of the South Coast of Iceland. We highly recommend this tour — and especially Jakob as a guide!
Pre-trip communication from GeoIceland via TripAdvisor was excellent. Our guide Goncalo took paid attention to everyone’s needs which I appreciated as a single older traveler who could not go as far or fast as most others. Made sure everyone glimpsed the fleeting puffins.
Long day of driving. Beautiful places. Nice waterfalls, but there are certainly more dramatic and worthwhile waterfalls to see in Iceland.
Alex is extremely knowledgeable about the area and generously answered questions. He organized the tour to avoid crowds which allowed us maximum time in each area. Alex did a great job. I highly recommend this tour.
The bus was 35 mi minutes late I was forced to sit in the middle seat all the at I. The back of the bus
Guide was informative and entertaining. Enjoyed the music during the trip. Clean vehicle. My only tip would be to bring lunch instead of buying.
The scenery was breathtaking. Our guide Leroy on the south coast tour was wonderful. Knowledgeable and had great stories about the places we visited!!
Martin was the best tour guide we had this week. He is passionate about his job. Amazing tour guide!!!!! Thank you!!
I had a wonderful time! Our tour guide, Al, was incredibly friendly and informative. We were able to stop at a lot of awesome places, and I feel like we had a good amount of time at each one. With how far away some of the destinations are, I was worried bathroom breaks would be limited, but there were plenty of opportunities for this (in addition to opportunities to get lunch/snacks/drinks). I had a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this tour!
Leroy was our guide on September 24 to the South Coast, and he was great! Had a great energy, and a very accommodating personality! Best tour so far on our trip to Iceland! Would recommend him to everyone. Thanks Leroy!
Incredible day trip. Fantastic waterfalls, black sand beach, visit to an enormous glacier. Stops at multiple view points. Multiple comfort and eating breaks at great facilities. 100 % satisfied. This is a brilliant day trip!
Did not get off to a good start. Was the last pick up and got stuck in the back of the bus. Was stuffy and hard to hear the guide. However, others had the same complaint. All that was remedied quickly after the first stop. The guide was very informative and gave great suggestions. The best being the hidden waterfall, Gljufrabui, at Seljalandsfoss. This excursion had it all, the glacier, black sand beach and two magnificent waterfall stops. Many tours to choose from, it’s hard to know which one to pick but you can’t go wrong with this one.
Well, the tour was a hit! Rodney was a fantastic guide and we would do another tour with him any day. I highly recommend this tour.
Our tour with Baldwin was so informative about the history of the South Coast and all the towns between Reykjavík, which also included seeing numerous waterfalls, the black beach, how important the Icelandic horses, sheep and Atlantic chard are! Highly recommend!
All the stops were amazing and I would recommend this trip to any traveler. Agnes was a great guide who personalized the tour to the group.
Great comprehensive tour of the South Coast. Love walking under a water fall and seeing puffins at the black sand beach. Guide was very knowledgable.
The small group tour had 19 participants and was done in both English and d Spanish. Gomcalo did a great job narrating The tour and saved the biggest and wettest waterfall for last. We were only wet on the ride back to town.
I just finished the tour for the day and it was exceptional if you want to get an introduction to popular outdoor areas Iceland is known for. Although, the one thing different I experienced from this tour is the kind and very interactive tour guide we had by the name of Devin. First off the man was very witty so he always had something to say and was very knowledgeable about the areas and even with little questions my girlfriend and I had about the eco system. He was also incredibly kind and accommodating to everyone. There was an older couple he was dropping off and he stepped out of the van to let them out and he noticed a large puddle. He went out of his way to get back in and move the van for them to step out comfortably. The reason I’m saying this is because that ain’t no regular van. It’s not easy to drive. Anyway I’m just here to recommend this gentleman Devin if you book this tour. You’ll have an amazing day with him guiding -Josh Ventura-
When we signed up for this excursion, we were a little hesitant because of how long it was. We are so glad we did it!! We had Snorri as our guide and he was absolutely great!! Every stop was beautiful and there was a good mix of driving and stopping where the excitement didn’t fall too much. We highly recommend this!!
The tour was very long, but that's because these places of natural beauty were quite far away from the Capital of Reykjavik unfortunately , which we set off from at 7:30am, our guide on the coach was Amelia, she was very knowledgeable and welcoming, talking and telling Icelandic stories for most of the trip, wanted to leave her a good review, and some of the sights we saw a long the way were really interesting, including the black sand beach and the Glacier lagoon that had a beach filled with formed ice of different shapes/sizes
The tour was informative. We enjoyed looking at the sights and hearing bits of information around the area. Our guide was knowledgeable and seem to be keen on explaining the science behind things/events. It would have been nice to see Skógafoss a bit earlier in the day when there was more daylight. Overall, we enjoyed the tour and would recommend the tour.
We had a tour with Leroy, who was very informative and attentive. He gave use loads of great information, and was just lovely to be around. The tour had the right ratio of being in the bus to being out the bus and doing for us, and we had plenty of time for everything, never felt rushed or that we were waiting for too long. The tour itself was good and worth doing if you have a day free, but personally for us, it was not our favourite content wise
I recently took this tour and it exceeded all expectations. The itinerary was well-organized, and our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, providing fascinating insights throughout. The sights were stunning, and the pace of the tour was just right. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and I highly recommend it to anyone!
We had a fantastic day with our driver/guide André. He was fun and informative. Loved all the sights we visited. Highly recommend this tour. No criticisms at all.
Buyer beware! I reserved this trip weeks in advance. Unfortunately, we were the last pick-up spot and the only seats left were in the last row of the sprinter van (not a bus as advertised). There were no windows to the right or left in the last row. You could see if you leaned forward from your hips and turned your neck to look out of the windows in the row in front of you. Michaela was wonderful and the stops were great, but I feel the other guests on the tour were more comfortable and were able to see more of Iceland. If I had known where I would be seated ahead of time, I would have cancelled the trip!
Our tour guide/driver "Simon the 1st" was the perfect guide because he is a geology nut. His explanations of the sights was spot on as were his stories of the history of the area. Very enjoyable day.
You said that our group only 6 and we paid to you for 6 and we paid for hole group at full price which you gave discount 20% But you asked me to join group tour, and wait more than 3 hours.
All day tour with Grayline with Darren and Helki. Large group and very well planned. Rest stops and stops very well planned. They were flexible. Were told best places for pictures and views. Sites were great.
The sites and the tour guide. It was an amazing time. My favorite was the last waterfall and the gorge.
Oscar made the entire trip fantastic. His knowledge of Iceland and geology made the trip better than a normal sightseeing endeavor.
Our guide, Simon Adolf, was spectacular. Informative and entertaining, he really made the tour special. Even in driving rain, it was fun.
A long but memorable journey seeing some key geological points of beauty in the south. The small group and the very knowledge driver were key in making this a very successful endeavor.
We really like tour of Iceland's south coast. Our guide, Simon, was knowledgeable and realized early on that the groups on our small bus were a bit more adventurous. He gave us plenty of time to hike on the trails and explore the area at each stop. It was a long day but we got plenty of stops, including time for shopping and lunch. Good fun
Simon, our guide, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and created a comfortable atmosphere for our group. I hight recommend EastWest tours!
The trip was wonderful. Bjorn from EastWest tours was wonderful. He was knowledgeable and very funny as well. The glacier, the town of Fik, the black sand beach, lunch and the waterfalls were amazing. We had an absolutely wonderful day!
It was an overwhelming and great experience, to have seen so many waterfalls, the beautiful glacier and the black beach was something wonderful and epic. Our guide Simon was very professional and friendly all the time, he told us several stories about Iceland, about the territory and all the places we went to. Near the end we went to a place where the food was delicious. This was an unforgettable and beautiful adventure. Thank you very much.
THIS TOUR WAS AMAZING AND EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. THE GUIDE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND KEPT THE COMMENTARY GOING THROUGHOUT THE TOUR. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Loved every minute the guide was a local very knowledgeable and entertaining we loved the music, Elves and troll stories we went to everything on the itinerary plenty of toilet breaks Excellent driving. We had lovely food in Vik Our tour guide definitely went the extra mile special Thankyou to Simon Adolf
An amazing tour! We had our guide Bjrn as our guide for a different tour earlier in the week and when we saw that it was him picking us up for this tour, we were so excited! I don't know if there are enough good things I can say about him - he was fun, knowledgable, and kind and kept us interested and entertained even throughout the longer legs of the drive. He played such a large part in helping us to appreciate not only the sites we were on the tour to see, but also the history, culture, and overall beauty of Iceland. The sites on tour were incredible - like nothing I've ever seen before. Got some great photos and made amazing memories.
A small mini bus - not too cramped. A good driver with lots of interesting stories about Iceland. Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls were great as were the Gljufrabui falls. Lunch on the black sand beach at Vik, followed by the black-sand beach of Reynisfjarna with its basalt columns and sneaker waves. Then a view of Eyjafjallajokull and off the Solheimajokull Glacier which is shrinking fast, to touch the ice. This was a really good day trip.
The waterfalls, glacier, wind at Black Beach… were all great experiences. Our guide knew a lot about them. He also told us quite a bit about the Icelandic Horse.
We are usually pretty adventurous on our own, but boy, was I glad to have booked this tour. Our guide, Inga, was fantastic! She gave so much history and had fun stories to tell along the way! I also wanted a professional with us to give us guidance at the black sand beach and she thoroughly expressed the importance of listening to her directions and kept us all safe. 5 stars for Inga and the tour company!
Loved this day Atli was a really informative driver and really friendly He was able to keep us informed about the recent earthquakes and the volcano eruption that is pending!! Putting our mind at ease whilst still stressing the history and what would happen
