This golden circle tour was great. Our guide, Svavar, was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the area and the sites. He also took us “the long way” through a couple small towns to give us information about the geothermal greenhouses, the Icelandic horses, and the thermal spas. It was a great day. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed what we saw with the local guide! Was surprised the tomato farm/greenhouses was a winter activity because the info said included. Our driver did a great deal of coughing so hopefully we don’t get sick from him. We were not impressed with his driving because he seemed impatient and drove fast.
This is a great tour to get a bit of an understanding of Iceland's natural beauty. Our guide was great with a good knowledge of Iceland's history. He added in an extra stop for amazing ice cream. I recommend this tour
Our diver/guide was so full of information! He took us to great spots and gave us enough time to enjoy them. He also chose excellent toilet stops and a great place to buy lunch.
We booked the Golden Circle 1 day small groups trip. Agnes picked us up and we headed off first to the tectonic plates. The weather was horrendous going up there , but wow what a driver she was. She handled the roads, snow storm and high winds as a Pro. Keeping us safe whilst other cars along the road were getting into trouble. We stopped for lunch at the tomato restaurant which is extremely interesting and the food is delicious . Afterwards the weather improved and we headed to the waterfalls which are out of this world. Stunning. Then the Geysers and the Crater. We had a wonderful trip. Would highly recommend. Others on our trip were doing the 3 day tour which is one we will do on our return to Iceland. I would highly recommend booking with David the Guide.
Our tour was a lot of fun. Our guide, Thomas, was informative and fun to be around. The tips he gave us about what foods/restaurants/beer to try were helpful even after this tour concluded. Even more importantly, he handled the weather fluctuations with ease, making me so glad we paid for the tour rather than trying to drive ourselves.
I did two tours with David the Guide. The Northern Lights with Anya and the Golden Circle with Thomas. Both were PHENOMENAL! All guides were extremely professional and knowledgeable. The small groups were perfect and the days were organized. There was terrible weather that caused road closures and Thomas did a great job making sure we all felt safe, communicating what was happening, and getting us off the road to a safe location to wait out the storm. The communication and planning that the company does is amazing.
Amazing tour. All well organised. And Kolbeinn Thomas our guide was very good. He conducted entire tour at a very relaxed pace, with lots of very interesting info about all sightseeing locations, especially Tomato Farm. He also went extra mile to recommend short hikes around viewpoints & even took us around the Kerid Crater. His interest in hiking really came through in his guiding and that made the overall experience very memorable.
We had a great day with our guide, Thomas! The natural sites (pseudo-crater from collapsed volcano, geysers and geothermal pools, enormous waterfall, lake and fissures from tectonic plate movements) were all impressive and well worth visiting, despite very cold and sometimes very windy conditions. The hydroponic tomato farm was a delightful oasis in the middle and we enjoyed a very nice meal there. We appreciated that Thomas helped us avoid the larger crowds by adjusting the order of the visits and choosing a different entrance for the waterfall than most groups used (I preferred the view from that spot anyway!).
Thomas was a great guide! Friendly, funny, helpful. Would do again!
Our guide, "Blueberry", was excellent guide, she has interesting stories and she was safe driver and took good care of us. Would recommend!
The group was close to 20 people, so didn’t feel especially small. Our guide was primarily a driver and dropped us off at the sites but didn’t explain much or show us anything. In some places, there wasn’t very much signage so it was actively hard to understand where to go. I was also disappointed that the times in the itinerary were very different - for example we got less than 15 minutes at the tomato farm. This location is even in the excursion title, so of course I was looking forward to seeing it. I would not book this tour again.
We had a great time, just the right balance between transport and amazing scenery. Agnes was a superfriendly and informative guide.
The tour itself was excellent. The pickup was late. They recommended arrival 30 min prior to pickup. Our guide was 10 minutes later than the this time. It was November so it was not a comfortable wait. Our guide was super friendly however and was very informative during our travel. The bus was very cramped and narrow between isles which made traveling very uncomfortable as the bus was at full capacity and we were all bundled up in our winter clothes. We have taken 3 different tour operators during our trip here and this was our least favorite due to our late pickup and bus being extremely cramped. The sights and tour guide were great however.
This was a full but interesting day. We got to see several of the highlights of the Golden Circle and enjoy some of the landscape of this beautiful country. Our guide was very professional and an excellent driver. Highly recommend.
Packed and amazing day trip with Sebastian! Small comfortable group size of 11pax in our tour. Thank you Sebastian for the friendly hospitality and the extra stops to feed Icelandic horses! :)
We stopped at 2 more places besides the listed ones. An added bonus. Our driver/guide Peter was helpful.
He was informative and knowledgeable in lots of different areas of Iceland. We bombarded him with endless questions.
Einar was our guide for this bus tour - he was so fun and knowledgeable about all things Iceland! We stopped at a dairy farm and had ice cream, fed horses, walked around through the Continental Divide, saw some amazing waterfalls and Kerid crater, and saw the geyser spray water up into the air a few times. The Fridheimar geothermal tomato farm was the highlight of the day and I would say a MUST DO for all visitors to this awesome country! The tomato soup and bloody Mary were SO good and fresh baked unlimited bread to go with it. I even bought the tomato & basil sorbet which was different but good! Our small group on this bus tour was engaging and helped to make it a memorable experience. My sincere thanks to Einar for being a wonderful tour guide!
We spent the day experiencing the beauty of Icelands Golden circle. We would highly recommend this small group tour. Our guide Blue was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She was even able to bring us to additional stops that weren't part of our original itinerary. We would highly recommend this tour.
Was slightly worried about doing this tour as there are limited reviews but turns out it was amazing! Would 100% recommend to anyone. Svabbi our guide was brilliant (also turns out the reviews are all collated so check out the ‘Guide to Iceland’ if you want to see more reviews)
This was an excellent version of the Golden Circle tour! Our driver, Svabbi, was really nice and very informative. He also found us some extra stops to visit Icelandic horses; as well as saving us money by suggesting tomato soup at the bar rather than restaurant of the tomato factory. We had such a great day and would really recommend this specific tour.
While the weather was variable and at times raining, our guide showed us not only the usual Golden Circle attractions but also a number of "small diversions" where he discussed and showed us how residential schools have a different meaning in Iceland, an up close encounter with Icelandic horses, hothouse tomato farming, and what a geothermal power generation plant looks like up close. A great experience, highly recommended.
I had an amazing experience with Svavar as a guide, the landscapes were beautiful, we also stopped for ice cream, visited the beautiful Icelandic horses and for the best tomato soup I have ever tasted. You can't miss this. Very grateful.
