Such a wonderful tour of the Golden Circle! Our tour guide, Eduard, made the trip even better with details, history, and stories throughout the day. He was also an excellent driver! Sites chosen showed a wide range of natural beauty across the area and lunch was at an exceptional farm. Wish we had more time to book another tour.

- -The pick-up process starts at 8:30 and continues until around 9:00 as we collect passengers from different locations. We kindly request that you be at your chosen pick-up location by 08:30 AM. It's important for us to have your email address on record so that we can send you an email 30 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. This email will contain a description of our car, including a photo and license plate number. We will also provide the name of the guide in the email. Our driver-guide will always stop, get out of the car, and search for you. They won't leave the pick-up point unless they cannot locate you. -If you are staying in the downtown area and you do not find the name of your hotel in the list, we will need you to use the bus stop designated to your specific accommodation. These bus stops were created by the city of Reykjavik to limit traffic of buses and larger vehicles in the sometimes narrow streets in the older parts of Reykjavik.
Itinerary
One of the most interesting locations in Iceland due to its geological and historical importance. It holds the meeting of the American and Eurasian tectonic plates, but also this place was chosen to celebrate the general assembly, this is where Iceland's parliament was founded in 930 A.D.
Even though this beautiful waterfall is not one of the biggest in the country, it is one of the Icelandic people’s most well-loved waterfalls due to its location and for its historical significance
We will visit Efstidalur dairy farm for some ice cream and also to visit Icelandic cows and other animals.
Geysir geothermal area is quite stunning where you witness the geyser Strokkur erupts every five minutes.
The thundering Gullfoss waterfall tops many lists as a powerful and hypnotizing natural phenomenon
After having lunch (not included) at this tomato farm, we will gain an insight into the processes of greenhouse horticulture, with a short and informative talk on the subject. Also, Friðheimar breeds Icelandic horses, so we will be able to see and pet a couple of them.
It is one of several crater lakes in the area, known as Iceland's Western Volcanic Zone, which includes the Reykjanes peninsula and the Langjökull Glacier, created as the land moved over a localized hotspot, but it is the one that has the most visually recognizable caldera still intact.

Fabulous day out, with Eduard our driver and guide. Thankfully the weather was kind, and everywhere we went was spectacular. The waterfalls, the geysers, the volcano crater walk were all fantastic. The tomato farm was so interesting. Our small group were from all over the world, which really added to the atmosphere. We cannot thank Eduard enough, he really was very knowledgeable and interesting.
This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. Bjorn was a wonderful guide and very entertaining. I appreciated and enjoyed all of his stories about the sites and life in Iceland. The stops were all great. I was worried about taking a group tour but we were never rushed and our other participants were engaging. I’d highly recommend the tour. As the person who is always driving others, it was great to sit back, listen to the stories, and enjoy the view.
Our tour guide Gon was amazing. All the locations we visited were really beautiful. The tomato farm was interesting. I enjoyed the tomato soup but my children do did not like the food and it was pricey. In addition to the places listed, we were able to feed some Icelandic horses and see a geothermal bakery. Gon gave us lots of interesting tidbits of information and was very personable and fun.
Einar is personable, friendly, and helpful. I enjoyed learning about Iceland from a true native!
My partner and myself went on the golden circle tour including the tomato farm and the krater today. We honestly had the best time and couldn't recommend it enough. It's was very educational of the Island and the tour guide called Einar did an amazing job. He kept it entertaining and went out of his way to make the trip and experience to never forget. I would highly recommend booking through these guys, very quick to respond with confirmation an pick up / drop off as smooth and easy. Thanks again for the fantastic day out.
Conducted by Eastwest, our Golden Circle tour with a visit to the Friðheimar tomato farm was outstanding. A true asset to his profession, our veteran guide, Bjorn G, was professional and articulate. With humor and occasional theatrics, Bjorn regaled us with wonderful briefings on ancient, 20th and contemporary 21st century Icelandic history as well as stories of Icelandic culture, customs and Christmas. Heartily recommend.
Bjorn is the best guide!!! Funny, great stories, so informative about everything. This day trip is a must and you experience so much!
Great tour. Great sunshine at the waterfall. All went well and was good organized. The tomato farm was great.
100% the best tour guide with Bjorn at Eastwest Tours absolute encyclopaedia of knowledge of Iceland and our places we visited today.
Amazing experience . Incredible visits to beautiful waterfalls, a geyser, and the Tomato farm .wonderful lunch! Our tour guide Bjorn with east/west tours was fantastic!! Lots of fun
Eduard was amazing, ran the tour perfectly, would recommend
This was my third tour with them - Tour was great. Tour guide (Eduard) did a great job and put in the extra effort! I had ice cream at a dairy and tomato soup and burrata w heirloom tomatoes at a geothermal farm, saw a place where 2 tectonic plates diverge, and a beautiful waterfall - amazing day!!
My friend Susan and I went on 4 EastWest tours last week while in Iceland. They were recommended by the hotel we stayed at, Exeter Hotel. The first extended trip was the Golden Circle with Eweduard (or Eddie). Eddie was an excellent guide. He was funny, patient, and knowledgeable. We learned so much on the trip and had such a wonderful time with him! It's a very varied tour. Just an amazing day made even better by Eddie. I've taken a lot of tours and the guide you have can make all the difference and I think we got very lucky to have him as our guide. He also shared some great things to do in Reykjavik on the way back. The second extended trip was with Bjorn to the Southeast Coast. Bjorn kept us well entertained and informed and I'm especially happy he played some Icelandic music for us on the journey back! Everything we say was amazing!! In addition to telling us about each stop and about what we were seeing on the way, he shared a lot about Iceland itself and what life is like there. Both guides were very helpful at each stop, giving us guidance so that we could make informed decisions if there were choices to make. Both trips were outstanding, with outstanding guides and well worth the time and money. The other two were Northern Lights trips, which sadly were not fruitful. Not the guides faults. They tried very hard to find them for us. It just wasn't meant to be. But EastWest did give us our makeup tour for free, so if you're wondering if they do that if you try and don't see them the first time, they do. FYI there are bathroom breaks and opportunities to get lunch/snacks on both tours. I highly recommend this tour company - and in my opinion much better to go with a smaller group tour than a large bus.
Martin was very supported and full trip guided with best experiences sharing. Definitely recommend him!
East West picked us up in a Mercedes sprinter around 8:30 AM at the bus stop in front of our hotel. Our guide Simon “Spicy Viking” was really funny and entertaining and knowledgeable. Our first stop was at Pingveller National Park, where we experienced walking along the continental divide between North America and Europe. We then headed to a small dairy farm for the tastiest ice cream. (You pay for this optional extra.) Our next stop was Gulfoss waterfall, which reminded me of a miniature Niagara Falls. We then saw the Strokkur geyser, which erupts every 6-10 minutes. We got to see it a couple of times. The whole area is quite otherworldly with colorful mineral deposits and bubbling, mud pools, very typical of a geothermal setting. We then headed to lunch at a tomato farm, where we had a delicious meal. (This is also an additional cost not included in the tour fee. ) I had the tomato soup and probably the freshest salad ever, topped with chicken kabobs. The bread is also delicious. From there, we went to our last destination on the tour: Kerio crater. Simon kept telling us it was just a hole in the ground. As it turned out he was underselling it on purpose. It was stunning. The water at the bottom of the crater reflects a variety of colors, and the lava around the crater itself had oxidized, so the color was a deep red. You could walk along the ridge for breathtaking views. We were there at sunset, the perfect time to see this natural phenomenon. We then headed back to Reykjavík, arriving around 7:30 PM. This is a great tour to go on if you’re headed to Iceland. I must add that, at the end of the tour as we were getting off the bus, I unknowingly dropped my wallet and only discovered it was missing when I got back to my hotel room. I called the number for East West, which was included in the confirmation email, and they quickly got in touch with Simon, who swung back around with my wallet after he dropped everybody off. I appreciated him so much. This is a top-notch tour company. Highly recommend!
This was a fantastic tour, our guide Gon was exceptionally knowledgable. Plenty of time at each stop, Lots of walking if you choose. Vehicle was very clean and comfortable. Driver had safety and making the most of our experience front of mind.
This is a great company to travel with. Roger is a fun and informative guide who makes everyone in the small group feel welcome. The tour itself was amazing. Lunch at the tomato farm was delicious. The landscapes were fantastic. We highly recommend the small group tours with this company.
We had a wonderful time on this Golden Circle Tour (plus Kerid Crater and Fridheimar Tomato Farm). Our tour guide was Gon who was incredibly knowledgeable and made us all feel very welcome. All of the facts he gave us throughout the tour were thoughtful, relevant, and interesting. He gave us plenty of time at each stop and was just a really personable guy. The stops themselves were breathtaking. We had a bit of additional time so Gon also stopped at a little place where bread was being cooked underground, a dairy farm that made incredible ice cream (we’d recommend the coconut and white chocolate!) as well as a retired Icelandic horse farm where we fed the two resident horses. Whilst the views in the National Park were just phenomenal, the real highlight was the Fridheimar Tomato Farm. We added it on to the tour as a bit of a wild card but so glad we did. The greenhouse was fascinating and the soup and bread was delicious (and buffet style so all you can eat!). It also gave us a chance to chat with the other people on the tour (there were only 15 of us) which was lovely. Overall we loved our day out - it was a long day albeit an exciting one - and we couldn’t have wished for a better tour guide than Gon. Thank you so much :)
We had a fabulous time on our Golden Circle tour. Our guide Roger was the best!! He was funny, informative, and conducted the whole tour in Spanish and English! We highly recommend you book this tour and request Roger as your guide!
Bjorn was a perfect guide. Very informative and entertaining. He made it easy to let each of us tailor our own experiences while keeping us moving. Great day!
A fantastic tour of some Icelandic natural wonders enlivened by our invaluable guide. Einar's warmth, wit and fun jokes have made this experience an amazing exploration of Icelandic traditions and culture.
Bjorn was a fantastiv guide, highly recommend the tour!!
Bjorn was fantastic. Entertaining, very informative. We learned and saw much more than had we rented a car . Would recommend
Absolutely the best of all the tours we went on went in Iceland. We liked the smaller group size. The guide, Eduard, included and engaged all the group. He was fun, informative, and made sure everyone had a good time at all the stops Eastwest tours are great and Eduard is absolutely amazing. Try to good with him if possible.
This was an amazing tour, I wish I could do it again. its a great way to see some incredible Iceland sites, especially when you have a limited number of days. the pacr was perfect, the guide was outstanding and lunch at the farm was delicious!! we also stopped a dairy farm for ice cream and a surprise stop to meet and feed some Icelandic horses.
We had a great day on this tour of the Golden Circle, in spite of temperatures that hovered near freezing for most of the morning. Our tour guide, Oscar, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and gave great explanations of the various geological features (which were many). The tomato farm was an unexpected plus- not only interesting, but the lunch we bought there was top notch. The Gullfoss waterfalls were incredible and would be worth seeing over and over again. An excellent tour and guide!
Excellent tour. The itenery was well chosen. The guide/driver was awesome. He was entertaining and very communicative. He brought our small group together and engaged with everyone. I also enjoyed having a smaller bus instead of the large tour bus with 50+ people. I highly recommend eastwest.
First time visiting Reykjavik we booked Golden Circle tour and had the best day with Simon (the spicy Viking). He kept us well informed and well entertained throughout the day. Really enjoyed seeing crater, beautiful waterfalls, geyser, fun ice cream stop, great lunch among other stops. Simon was the best. Totally recommend for amazing day around Reykjavik.
It was a great trip. Our guide Smari was awesome. Very nice to have the flexible option of being able to be dropped off and picked up at multiple locations. Was a good option to avoid driving around yourself for a full day and to hear more about Iceland from a local.
We had the most incredible day exploring Iceland’s Golden Circle, and I honestly couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough. Our guide and driver, Oscar, was absolutely fantastic. So knowledgeable, warm, engaging and full of fascinating stories and insights about Iceland. His enthusiasm and genuine love for his country made the whole experience even more special. He made every part of the journey enjoyable, comfortable and relaxed, and nothing was too much trouble. Every stop was spectacular, and the day was perfectly organised, with a lovely balance of sightseeing, exploring and learning about Iceland. We particularly loved visiting the tomato farm, which was such a memorable experience. We were travelling as a family of four, and all of us absolutely loved every moment. The scenery, the fresh air and the whole experience made this genuinely one of the most memorable days we’ve ever spent together. A huge thank you to Oscar for making our day so special. An exceptional guide and a truly fantastic experience. We couldn’t recommend him highly enough.
What a great day visiting beautiful locations in Iceland! I found the amount of time allocated to each spot to be just right. I enjoyed the opportunity to have lunch at the tomato farm. Our tour guide Simon, the spicy Viking, provided the perfect balance of information and humor! I enjoyed the entire day. Playing his list of Icelandic music on the drive back to Reykjavik was the perfect way to end the day.
“Simon Spicy Viking” was an entertaining and informative guide. I especially appreciated his sense of humor on the final day of our trip when we were exhausted. Highly recommend this tour!
Simon spicy 33 Viking was very entertaining and knowledgeable

A fantastic day. Smári is an excellent guide! We had a just the right amount of time at each location and the scenery is just stunning. We also liked the tomato farm where we had lunch and the stop at the dairy farm too.
Smari was the MOST informative guide. If you want to know all about the terrain, Iceland's geological history, understand more about this beautiful country's culture, and more - Smari is your guy!! Plus there's something extra special about the music played on the trip.
We had a great time on the Golden Circle Tour. Bjorn was our guide and driver for the day and he was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable and super friendly. Iceland is beautiful and we were able to experience so many of its treasures on this tour. This was our second tour with EastWest and both tours were top notch.
It was the most incredible tour!!! The best we have ever been on. Einar was absolutely amazing, giving us all the information about the tour but also Iceland the entire time, he really got to know the group, was super fun, chatty, thoughtful and funny. I was having a bit of a rough day with my nausea due to my pregnancy and he was absolutely incredible, making sure I was okay and having the best time! Everyone on the bus absolutely loved him! The tour takes you to the most amazing and beautiful places, you have a good amount of time at all and I can't recommend this tour enough!!!! Incredible!
