Excellent tour, and David our guide and driver was really a highlight himself with his humour and excellent information throughout.

Our guide, Simon, was amazing! He took us out and though we were headed to a spot an hour north of the city, he spotted some activity in the sky about 45 minutes into our trip, and pulled over to check it out. We ended up getting some beautiful photos and having a wonderful time as a group. Simon’s dry sense of humor was a hit with all, and we had an amazing night!! Highly recommend EastWest Travel - this is the second tour we’ve done with them, and they are excellent!
We enjoyed the Golden Circle, despite the terrible weather. We felt that the time spent at Thingvellir National Park, was not long enough. We got a rollicking for going down to where the open air parliament was located. It takes twenty minutes to walk down and twenty minutes of hard walking, to get back up. Our driver’s English was appalling and most of the time, you could not understand what he was saying. He stunk of cigarettes and had a persistent, annoying, very loud cough, either a smokers cough or possibly bronchitis. However, we put that to one side, so that we could get as much as we could, out of the tour. We particularly enjoyed the Geysir and the magnificent Gullfoss falls. With the right driver and nice weather, the Golden Circle would make for a great tour.
Our tour guide, David, did a great job with a less than optimal situation. The weather was awful, cold and rainy. Our experience deserves a really good rating because David made the best of a situation that nobody could control. The waterfalls, the thermal fields, the continental divide, all would have been better in better weather, but David made the best of it. Lunch was delightful.
A full day of one phenomenal experience after the other. I think the waterfall (Sellfoss) was my favorite for sheer enjoyment, but walking the edges of two colliding tectonic plates was the coolest of all. Volcano, check. Geyser, check. This day has it all. Our guide, Svarvar seemed quiet at first, but as the day went on he opened up and got on a roll and was quite fun. If you only have one day in Reykyavik, this has to be at the top of your list. Highly recommended.
We had a fabulous experience with our guide from Bus Travel Iceland, Joseph, who was a good driver and a very informative guide. We visited all the main sights of the Golden Circle plus the Frioheimar Farm The farm visit to the Equestrian centre for the horse riding demonstration and the tour through the tomato glasshouses was excellent. Both facilities are very impressive and we had a delicious lunch of tomato soup at the Wine bar restaurant which is part of the farm complex We would highly recommend this tour as it is very well organised and good value.
We really enjoyed the tour. Well planned and a lot of fun. The farm was extra special - I’ve never seen anything like that before - and lunch was superb as vegan and my partner as vegan and gluten free.
I was sent a reminder the day of the tour reminding me that it was that day at 9am. That was a change from 730am. We missed the trip because that info was incorrect.
Our guide for this tour was Agnes and she was wonderful!! She narrated our bus time with lots of facts about what we were seeing and gave clear directions on where to go once we departed the bus. The stops were perfect. Sad that we didn't get to have lunch at the tomato farm because they were fully booked. Seeing the food they were serving has us drooling! Overall, a great tour that moved along smoothly and included the best stops in the Golden Circle. Very happy.
We were picked up late due to mechanical issues, but I was in communication through my booking link. We still had the full tour and were even given a little extra time at each attraction. Our guide was very friendly and super knowledgeable about Iceland.
Saw so much beauty and learned about Iceland’s use of their natural resources. The tomato greenhouse impressed us and the ice cream stop was the best I’ve ever had. Rhubarb ice cream and Biscoff ice cream are not your usual flavors. Walking was easy enough that even people with less than perfect knees can have a great experience.
Fabulous tour that shows the majestic Iceland. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and shared the history. Fridheimar Farm was intriguing on how they can grow the best tomatoes. The tomato soup for lunch was exceptional.
Bjorn was awesome. Very accommodating, but we got it all in. He is quite entertaining. I loved the tomato farm. I've seen Yellowstone geysers, but this one was really good too
Loved the tomato farm, dairy Fram with gelato and all the park stops. Horses were a treat . Tour guide was awesome.
Jake was great. We thoroughly enjoyed the day but wish there were not so many big buses traveling the same route
We really enjoyed the tour. The pace was well orchestrated and we felt like we had ample time at each stop. Fridheimar Farm was really interesting and the food was fabulous.
Amazing tour!! The guide, Bjorne, was a highlight. Very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend
We really enjoyed our tour with Martin, our tour guide. He has a great sense of humor, knows Icelandic history, and was very patient and kind.
Highly recommend taking this tour as a small group. The minibus can make so many more small stops that were unexpected but really nice. We stopped at an ice cream farm and got to see the horses as well as do all the other things advertised as part of the tour. Our guide Carlos was great. He was entertaining and he had a really good knowledge about Iceland despite not have lived there that long. A really nice day out and well worth it
We had a great tour with the EastWest company. Our guide Toni was so passionate, knowledgeable, and great at communicating what to expect. Small group tour had 18 people. Perfect amount of time at each location. This was a highlight of our trip.
Very nice trip, giude Leroy was amazing. We learnt and see a lot.. Ijsland is a beautiful and very special country..
Our guide, Atli, was exceptional. He shared history and fun information throughout our trip and added on stops that were not included on our intinerary. This allowed for us to see so much of the Golden Circle as well as some smaller places that the larger buses do not stop at.
We had the most amazing time on this tour with our fantastic tour guide Baldvin. Baldvin was informative, funny & welcoming. We saw the most incredible views we will never forget! We particularly enjoyed the Geysir which was fascinating and the Tomato Farm lunch which was so unique, but honestly every part was amazing!! This tour also supplied us with crampons/spikes for our shoes which made the experience much safer when walking on icy areas! We loved every moment, thank you so much to Baldvin.
Allain was an excellent guide. Very knowledgable and kind. The tour was great with just the right amount of time at each site.
Petra was a great guide. Really enthusiastic and friendly and seemed to genuinely care that we made the most of our day. Had an amazing day from start to finish. Good value for money and breathe taking sights.
Our tour guide Dagger was outstanding, he is a great driver in the snow and an amazing story teller, the group was the perfect size as well. We went to amazing places, more places than i expected! I would totally recommend this tour!
This tour was amazing and the guide was excellent gave lots of info - unsure of his name but he said his friends call him wall-e (like the film)! Pickup was early / everything was on time. We were able to see everything we wanted within within 8-9 hours and it didn’t feel rushed at all enough time to see everything walk round and shop at some parts! The small group was great as it wasn’t as crowded. It’s an amazing tour if you’re only there for a few days as you see so much of Iceland and the tomato farm was a good stop as it is around lunch time and lots to choose from. We went in feb and There was so much snow which topped it all off Iceland was amazing. I would definitely pick this tour if you are deciding between a few. We were left to our own devices at each stop which is good and our tour guide even added in a few extra stops along the way which was very kind of him. Very pleased :) unable to add pictures but it was amazing.
Had the most incredible day and our guide Finar (excuse the spelling) was amazing - informative, funny and helpful - for what you see in a day it has to be one of the best
Amazing vistas, breathtaking sights, unbelievable wonders of our world. Excellent, friendly & super informative guide - huge well done to Hawk. Highly recomended
Magnificent tour. Anna was so great and new her stuff. Would definitely go back and recommend to my friends.
Pickup/Dropoff was on time, pickup instructions were clear. Our tour guide, Fronor (sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) was knowledgeable, funny, and kind. He drove safely for the entirety of the trip. Fronor gave us background information and good sightseeing tips for each of our stops, he pointed out interesting and unique sights along the drive, and he made the downtime on the rest of the drive enjoyable with his insights into Icelandic culture, folklore, music, and food. Ask him about his favorite Icelandic letter, and his favorite spots around Reykjavik! 10/10 would book with Iceland Everywhere again.
We were supposed to be on a small group tour but at the last minute they switched to a group of 15. It was pouring rain but still able to see the main sights. - Waterfalls and geothermal areas. I think all of the tours to these sights are the same so pick a tour company that is priced well and meets your time frame.
We loved Anna. I’m addition to doing a wonderful job explaining what we were seeing, she added some real Icelandic flavor, telling us about her life growing up in Iceland, teaching us about the culture. She adapted quickly to an unexpected detour and made sure we still hit all our sites. Truly delightful.
Nice comfortable tour of areas in Iceland that would be difficult to visit on your own in a day trip. The guide/driver was very knowledgably and always took time both on and off the bus to answer questions and interact with the group!
Long story short: It was excelent!!! For those people who does not have much time to visit Iceland, as well as for those who visit Iceland for long time, I strongly recomend this tour. I saw unbelievable thing that I can not stop thinking about (the most beautiful waterfall, lake in a crater of volcano, most beautiful lakes, steaming natural hot springs or just mind-blowing geyser). Sooooo worth the money!!! The pick up was very punctuate - the minibus arrived just on time! Last but not least - the guide: the best part of the tour. Our guide, Petra, is the best guide I have ever met. She knows her audience, tells only interesting stories and answers all the questions. REAL PROFESSIONAL!! In addition, she is very kind and take care of all members in the tour (for example, she drive all over Reykjavik till she find 2 travelers of our group just because they got lost and could not find the departure point)!!! BEST guide ever!! Higely recomended!!
This was the best tour of our stay and really highlighted the beauty of Iceland. We were lucky to get a bright and sunny ( but cold ! ) day. Our guide Berglind was amazing, very knowledgeable and funny. I would highly recommend this trip and this tour company ( Horizon ) Great !
Great tour with a great guide. Baldwin was informative, friendly and funny. He made the experience just a little bit better.
A great tour with a friendly knowledgeable guide - Kristina The bus missed us on the pickup but left us a message and came back for us - much appreciated.
Did the tour yesterday 1/20. Our driver/tour guide was Baldwin...he was fantastic. It was snowing but we covered every site of the tour. Very safe driver, thorough explanation of the sites we visited, and very knowledgeable of his country and its history. Very pleasant, funny and respectful young man. He also had crampons available in different sizes for us...another big plus. Did the tour with Iceland Horizon 4 yrs ago and it was as good. I most definitively recommend them again for the Gold Circle Tour.
Berglind, our driver/guide for the day, was so engaging and informative that you didn't want to switch off. We learnt so much about Iceland's history, landscape, education system, geology, weather. Due to there only being 11 in our tour group and keeping good time throughout the day we were able to schedule extra stops into the tour- an icecream farm & horse feeding. Where as the larger company's tend to complete the golden circle in a particular order, thereby causing congestion at most sites, Horizon iceland work in reverse , so it felt like we had the Kerid crater all to ourselves. We've booked 2 out of our 3 tours with Horizon Iceland and we highly recommend them. Small group touring in a minivan is definitely the way to go
Although it was a miserable rainy and cold day, our guide, Thor gave a great tour, fun and full of information, He kept the drive lively and answered tons of questions. I think there were 16 of us and he steered clear of the big tour bus groups whenever possible. And as a side note, at the first rest stop there was this bakery that made fantastic breads and sandwiches that kept us going throughout the day. I wish I had the name so I could order some more bread online! I highly recommend this company - communications were easy and reliable and the tour bus was clean and comfortable.
This tour took in all the major sights and was breathtaking from start to finish. The travel between destinations was kept interesting by our guide, Siggi, who told some hilarious anecdotes, stories and noted all the points of interest. In short, I would highly recommend this trip as good value for money and fantastic entertainment! EASILY FIVE STARS!
Lots of sites to see and we hit many of them. The only hesitation I have is that we felt a bit rushed. At Thingvellir Park which was our last stop I would have liked more time to was wander. I guess the more you see the less time to spend at each site. Kudos to Siggy who was informative and fun.
A "must do" when visiting Iceland. You see an icy blue lake that sits in a crater surrounded by red volcanic rock, the geothermal area of Geysir that coined the word geysers, and amazing Gullfoss, one of the most powerfully beautiful waterfalls imaginable.
This small tour of the Golden Circle was fantastic. We stopped at an amazing bakery along the way which also had a exhibit on an earthquake which struck there in 2008. On the ground through a glass display you could see the American and European faults seperated by a narrow chasm which was very cool. We had about 12 people in our group which was perfect. The tour guide was extremely friendly and super informative on everything Icelandic, from Icelandic names, to the history of Cod, animal life, the cost of living there, etc. He also was extremely knowledgeable about the different sites were stopped, and was able to answer every question thrown his way! The Kerid Cater Lake in an extinct volcano was very impressive, as was the the Gullfoss Falls, which was like a screen saver and looks way better in person than in the pictures. The Geysir Geothermal Area was interesting to see and there was a fantastic, huge gift shop there. Thingveillir National Park was our last stop and was enjoyable both due to its historical significance and the Game of Thrones scenes filmed there. At the end of the tour our guide drove us through Reykjavik and pointed out the Prime Minister's House, house where Gorbachev and Reagan met, and other spots. I would highly recommend taking the small group tour with this company!
I took the Golden Circle small group tour with my friend this April. We had a great experience. Our guide, Berglind made this the first tour not to put me to sleep. She was very knowledgeable of the landscape of Iceland and it's history. Her humor and welcoming spirit allowed us to really embrace the different sites. We had ample time at each stop to take pictures. There were even short add on stops at a waterfall and a bathroom stop at a museum of an earthquake exhibition. There are outlets to charge your phone on the bus so you don't miss any IG worthy pics. We had another tour scheduled that evening. Berglind made sure we made it back on time for it. For that I call her Queen Bee. I learned many things that day, but most importantly not to step on the moss. Thanks Justin Beiber.
From start to finish we never had time to get bored thanks to Baldwin our guide. What a clever man. Every minute was filled with useful information. While we had the time to ourselves to explore. We made fantastic lifetime memories Thank you so much Pauline and ste from Liverpool UK
For our port of call in Reykjavik, we pre-arranged a Golden Circle tour with Iceland Horizon. Email communication was excellent. Individual payments were easily handled during the trip via credit card or cash. Our driver and guide was Christine and she was excellent. The van was easy to identify at the port entrance and once we were on board, the trip was comfortable and informative. We hit all the expected locations and had plenty of time for photos and lunch. I would use Iceland Horizon again.
Small hiccup at the start where our documents gave the pickup time as 8 AM, however the actual time was 8:30 - no big deal. Our driver/tour guide was a 30 year old girl who I would rate as the best tour guide I have ever seen in 15 years of travel. We we were in Iceland on a cruise ship and did the one day Golden Circle Tour. This tour was super great and we would recommend Iceland Horizon Tours to all. Thanks to our lovely guide who took us places a lot of people don't go as she grew up withing the Golden Circle. Keep up the excellent tours.
I had done the Golden Circle before but small group is the way to go. Our guide was the best the sightings were amazing and the price is barely a little higher than a big bus tour. Totally worth it.
