We had an absolutely incredible experience on the Golden Circle Small-Group Tour by Superjeep! The scenery at Þingvellir National Park, Geysir, Gullfoss and Faxi Waterfall was breathtaking, but traveling by Superjeep to Langjökull Glacier made the day truly unforgettable. Our driver and guide, Francisco, was exceptional. He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and an excellent driver. He shared fascinating information about Iceland throughout the trip, made everyone feel comfortable and safe, and gave us plenty of time to enjoy each stop without ever feeling rushed. His enthusiasm and personality made an already spectacular tour even better. The small-group Superjeep experience was far more intimate and personal than traveling in a large truck or with a large tour group. We were able to interact with Francisco, ask questions and experience Iceland in a way that would not have been possible on a standard group tour. This was one of the highlights of our entire Iceland vacation. We highly recommend this tour—and if you are fortunate enough to have Francisco as your guide, you are in for an amazing day!

Itinerary
Your first stop takes you to Thingvellir National Park where the Icelandic parliament was founded over 1000 years ago. At Thingvellir you will see how the earth is ever so slowly pulling apart along the North-America and Eurasian tectonic plates and you will be able to stand where the Viking settlers stood centuries ago.
Next, you will visit the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur where you can see geysers, hot springs, steam vents and eerie blue algae. Strokkur is one of the largest and most powerful geysers and erupts almost every 5 minutes.
The final stop of the Golden Circle takes you to Gullfoss waterfall, which many consider to be the queen of Icelandic waterfalls, as it is both high and mighty and stumbles dramatically in a deep gorge. After Gullfoss, you'll stop for lunch at Gullfoss Café which offers local flair and offers diverse options such as Icelandic meat soup, all in the midst of Gullfoss waterfall. Once lunch is complete, it’s time to try out our Super jeep vehicles off road: the ride will take you to the highlands, rough terrain and glacier area of Langjökull (Icelandic for "long glacier"), known to be the second largest ice cap in Iceland (953 km2). You will enjoy the landscape from your Super jeep while occasionally stopping to take in the incredible sights.
After an off-road ride, you’ll visit Faxi, a small but beautiful waterfall before driving back to Reykjavik, returning to your hotel around 5:00pm.

This is why you come to Iceland, so do it right! I am so glad we spent a day seeing some of the unbelievable scenery of Iceland with Superjeep tours - it was phenomenal from start to finish. Our guide Guffi picked us up right on time at the designated address and made sure the entire day was exactly what we hoped it would be. He answered our endless questions about Iceland, made a bakery stop when the kids were hungry, let us spend as much time (or little!) at the stops as we needed (but kept us ahead of the big bus crowds), and maximized the (comparatively brief) off-road experience at Langjukoll, which is not something you are going to get to visit on any shuttle bus. The jeep was old and not a luxurious interior, but my 12 year old was mesmerized by its tricked out glacier suspension and it felt like an authentic Icelandic experience. Especially given that a taxi from the airport into town can be $100, this 9 hour experience felt like a bargain. 1000% recommend.
A great day-with a great driver and friends
Our super jeep tour with Erik was fantastic! We saw all of the sites advertised and he was personable, humorous, knowledgeable and great with our kids! We started with a prompt pickup just outside our hotel at 830 on the dot as promised. From there we drove to the first site, a smaller waterfall, to get started. One great thing was that Erik continually took pictures with his phone of the 4 of us so we didnt have to keep asking other parties to take a group pic of us. I really appreciated this and was able to access all of the photos via drop box the next day. The trip continued to Geyser where we saw the geyser erupt about 10 times over ~25 minutes - a great sight! From there we went to Gulfoss waterfall which is breathtaking. i have mobility issues so was not able to walk down to the edge but Erik still took photos of the family and made sure i was okay at the designated pick ups after each site - this touch was really appreciated Next we did some off roading in the hills on the way to the glacier. The kids got a kick out of the jeep bouncing around and driving through a little river - At the glacier, we spent time out in the snow looking at all the surrounding mountains - Erik was very informative telling us about the various movies that were filmed in the area (including Oblivion). After the glacier, we went to the best beef and dairy farm for lunch. The food was incredible and the ice cream was excellent. The kids loved that we ate overlooking the dairy cows and calfs. For the last site, we went to the national park that spans the continental divide. this was a great 20 minute walk to meet Erik at the parking area. At most stops, Erik would set a pick up spot and then wait for us to come through at our own pace, never rushing us. The way back to Reykjavik was relaxed and Erik quizzed the kids on Icelandic factoids and stories. I cannot say enough good things about this experience and i know my family agrees - this was one of, if not the best, experiences we had in our 4 day stay in Iceland. i would absolutely recommend this company and Erik in particular. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience! Chris
An incredible day out in the wilds of Iceland with our driver, Kate. Geysers, waterfalls, glaciers, tectonic plates, horses, etc. So much to take in! Iceland is a beautiful country, with contrasting landscapes. You really get to see those contrasts on a tour like this. Our driver made the day good fun, full of fascinating facts and interesting asides. It’s a long day but it seemed to fly by. There are breaks along the way, and you get the opportunity to grab lunch too. So many highlights, it is difficult to single out one. Suffice to say, you won’t regret booking this tour. An absolute must.
The tour was great, even though we were unable to reach all the way to the glacier due to weather. Guide Erik was a great leader of the tour, sharing fun facts about Iceland to distract whole group away from the bad weather conditions! Highly recommend this company!
Kriss' took us on the Golden Circle tour last week, alongside another couple (Nick and Ellie). He was polite, knowledgeable and generally went above and beyond to help make a trip both memorable and exceptional. Given the inclement weather at the Langjokull Glacier he pressed on as far as safety would allow, and helped us have a truly memorable day. Tomas Took us to see several spots of outstanding natural beauty in the Southern part of the island a few days later. He was friendly throughout and helped show us the black sand beaches at Reynisfjara, as well as Solheimajokull glacier. He was very helpful in assisting with photographs that me and my wife Jade will truly treasure. We would highly recommend Superjeep and their guides, who helped to make our trip to Iceland to be so very special and memorable.
Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The only reason not to give 5 stars was that the vehicle was not quite as advertised—there was no WiFI available, and the window controls in the middle row were not operating, making it difficult to take pictures.
The weathercwas not playing as we headed up to the glacier for snowmobiling. It didn't play well when we were snowmobiling however, we are in nature's backyard and that demands respect, understanding and patience. Still amazing. The Geysir is something else, seeing the Tectonic Plate cracks was pretty cool, Gulfoss is nature doing her amazing thing without regard for anything - stunning. Amazing day
I recently led a Slovak school group of 15 students and 3 teachers on an Icelandic adventure with Superjeep.is, and the entire operation was a well-oiled machine. We utilized them for a complete "block deal" package including: Airport Transfers (Arrival & Departure) Katla Ice Cave Golden Circle Tour (with Snowmobiling) Northern Lights Expedition Professional Planning: In late 2025, I reached out to four operators for quotes. Two never replied, and one failed to grasp our group’s specific needs. Simms was the outlier—he picked up our requirements immediately and provided timely, professional communication that made the booking process stress-free. Expert Execution: Our drivers, Kriss and Erik, were clearly seasoned "old-hands." Their experience and professionalism meant that every transfer and tour flowed perfectly, allowing the teachers to focus on the students while the experts handled the road. Verdict: For any school leader looking for a reliable, responsive, and highly skilled tour operator in Iceland, Superjeep.is is the gold standard.
What an experience! Iceland is one of the most beautiful places on earth and the Superjeep team really brings it to life. Huge thanks to Pétur and Krissi who are exceptional guides for our day trips - two very different personalities, but two of the nicest and most knowledgeable guys you could hope to meet. You both really made our holiday into something truly special. Also huge thanks to the chap who took us out our first Northern Lights trip on Thursday - we feel really bad that I didn't have his name to mention here, but he was a also a lovely guy and like all the other guides, supremely knowledgeable. We had 3 experiences with Superjeep - south coast & Katla Ice Cave, Golden Circle tour with snowmobiling and Northern Lights excursions. All were exceptional. Our first night in Iceland we went on the Northern Lights excursion and saw nothing. However, with our package, Superjeep gave us a second excursion, free of charge, as we didn't see the aurora on the first night. We picked the night before we left Iceland to do the second excursion and we were treated to what can only be described as a bucket list experience with very strong aurora. Obviously, Superjeep can't control nature, but taking us out twice and finding a place that was close to Reykjavik and with minimal light pollution really increased our chances of experiencing the aurora. And what about the Superjeeps? These things are amazing, go anywhere vehicles. Across thick snow on the Langjökull glacier - no problem. Driving around the lava fields that take you to the Katla Ice Cave - easy for the Superjeeps. Oh and how could we not mention Helgi, our guide for the Katla Ice Caves. I don't use the word 'legend' lightly to describe anyone, but that's the word that immediately springs to mind when we think of Helgi! As you can probably tell, we can't speak highly enough of Superjeep. They have great guides, fantastic experiences and some very cool toys to drive you about in. 10/10
Amazing experience. Our trip in January you should dress warm …. Eric our driving was full of knowledge and an excellent confident driver. The whole trip was amazing however the Glacier visit even though couldn’t go as far due to weather was spectacular. Eric is a huge asset to this company with his driver skills and knowledge. Just amazing !!! I hope to return and do it again 😁😁😁
Had fabulous time and the driver was amazing and very knowledgeable about Icelands history. Would recommend it to anyone .
Thomas was a great tour guide and navigated the snowy/icy landscape like the pro he is. We were even able to sneak another waterfall into the tour, which ca was my favorite! As you are in the back of a jeep and on rough terrain at times, I recommend taking motion sickness pills if you are sensitive. My partner was totally fine but I was nauseous on the way back down the glacier. No worries though, Thomas was accommodating and we were able to take a break. To me, this is the benefit of taking a smaller group tour/private tour. Highly recommend this!
We enjoyed one of the most special days of our life, starting at dawn and going through to sunset, from seeing beautiful waterfalls, an epic glacier, geyser to the tectonic plates of the national park ..... and ALL IN ONE GLORIOUS DAY 👀 I will do it all again with the same people next time I am lucky enough to be in Iceland
Fantastic experience from our expert driver piggy and his huge jeep . The whole experience was un forgettable. The views and knowledge was brilliant. Best company for tours
Fantastic experience seeing an amazing environment. We went on a very cold and wild day. We were able see waterfalls, glaciers, historic trails
Our experience with superjeep was fabulous. We went on the northern lights tour, the golden circle and the blue lagoon. Each tour was fantastic. We saw the northern lights with our tour guides determination to successfully locate them. And hot chocolate with vodka !! The golden circle was amazing with loads of information en route etc. Our driver to the blue lagoon was courteous and professional.. We had sickness on the day booked for the golden circle and they managed to get us in with another tour the next day. Excellent customer service. We would most definitely recommend Superjeep for anyone looking for Icelandic tours and would definitely use them again.
Highly recommend this trip ! Brilliant guide - thanks Keli ! - amazing scenery and well worth every krona . One of the highlights of our trip to Iceland
We had a brilliant time with Nick as our guide. He was very informative, engaging, friendly and charming. He also communicated well before pick up. The tour was amazing and we would highly recommend it.
Fantastic trip, highlight of our visit to Iceland. This was a birthday present for my husband and it didn’t disappoint. Christian, our guide was amazing, very knowledgeable and a great driver. He gave us plenty of time to see the sights in our own time as well as giving us lots of info along the way. Although, this was a premium option for the Golden Circle tour, I was worth it to have a dedicated driver and guide to ourselves, it made the experience so much more personal. My husband was also very happy with vehicle as it’s his dream car 🤣. (That was by accident though).
Best day out ever! Erik was an excellent guide - the vehicle is such fun and able to navigate all terrain. We saw stunning waterfalls; drove through a river bed and up onto the glacier that had a fresh covering of power snow; saw the steam fields and exploding geyser; and got a great sense of history and geology at the Parliament Plains - incredible seeing all of this topography in one day. Our 13 and 15 year old kids loved it (as much as teenagers can be effusive about anything!)
A once in a lifetime experience! You will literally be on, and walk on, an Icelandic glacier and take frame worthy pictures of beautiful Mother Nature in all of her frozen glory!
Bigor was terrific. We had a wonderful time highlighted by the glacier. He was fun, informative and patient.
Best experience ever!!!!! I would give 6 stars from five :-). Great car and a driver and places we were visiting were amazing and unforgettable!!!!
Biggy was a wonderful tour guide. Energetic, funny, knowledgeable. Fantastic tour of iconic yet phenomenal sires! I highly recommend this tour!
Keli was wonderful and an encyclopedia of Icelandic knowledge. The trip around the golden circle and lunch at the mushroom farm was amazing.
Does not list what you don’t get—water, snacks, lunch Great driver (Biggie). He always parked so we didn’t have to trudge uphill. Disappointed no real information about the sites (like how long between geyser blows.) However, in this case, the sites themselves were more important. LOVED the glacier !!!!
Excellent trip, personal service with only a few of us in the super jeep made this trip with Biggy a delight He is very knowledgeable and really made our day
What a fantastic experience undertaking the Golden Circle Tour of Iceland wit Superjeep. The heavily modified Ford F350 was a beast of a vehicle and it was amazing when we drove across the glacier to go on the snowmobiles. The timing, pick-up and drops offs at each location were clearly communicated by our friendly driver 'biggie smalls' (his Viking name was to difficult to remember), together with anecdotes and helpful insights re the attractions we visited. The vehicle accommodated 10 of us in luxury and I would highly recommend Superjeep to anyone considering undertaking the Golden Circle Tour - truly unforgettable stuff!
Would have given this a much higher rating but for 2 things. Booked land-rover but got super jeep, which I had extreme difficulty getting in and out of,one of the other passengers did assist me but found the experience embarrassing and spent the whole day dreading the next stop and couldn't wait for it to end, a small portable step being made available would have made a massive difference as when the driver did stop at a kerb when available there was no problem,as it was now left with a bad shoulder, limiting the activities for rest of stay. The other problem was that the group who were picked up first had changed the itinerary and decided to go snowmobiling, something I could not do, but felt we had no choice but to agree. I was with my granddaughter aged 14 who said she would like to do it so our driver agreed to take her otherwise we would have both been stuck in the jeep for 90 mins instead of just me ( I did give the driver a large tip for doing this ) You should get the trip you booked . We did get to see the sights , geyser, the waterfall, and a walk through the national park but only got 10 mins off road due to the snowmobiling which was one of the main reasons I booked it. Would just book a normal bus tour if we came back at less than half the price. Both of these issues would not be difficult to fix.
What an amazing day from start to finish. Einar the guide/driver was fantastic. So informative and knowledgeable. An experience we will never forget. The snowmobiling was ace. The waterfalls - WOW Glacier was something else- WOW. Geyser - WOW. DONT COME TO ICELAND WITHOUT DOING THIS TRIP WITH EINAR. WOW WOW WOW.
Such a fun trip. Einar was a wonderful guide and took us to so many fantastic sites. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in exploring the golden circle!
Had the best time exploring many must-see sites. Full day visiting waterfalls, horses and even ate some ice cream.
We really liked our trip. Small group jeep was totally the way to go ( it ended up being just us, so bonus private tour) Our guide Tamas had a lot of good info about the area and lots of interesting geological info. He was also a super nice guy. He dealt with a frozen tire issue, standing out in the cold with bare hands to fix it. It obviously was an unexpected issue, the jeep was very well maintained. I think a less committed guide would have not tried so hard and our day may have been ruined. He also helped some random people whose rental car had slid off the road. He didn’t really have to do so much, but made a big difference for those people, he is obviously a nice person. Another super jeep guide spent a good bit of time giving us advice about an upcoming visit to Sweden. He also was helpful and nice. As I’m writing this review the day after our trip I’ve been told another company had to cancel our trip to the South Coast. My first thought was’ Oh good now I can book with Super Jeep’. Happy to be a repeat customer.
Thank you for a fabulous day seeing beautiful Iceland. Chris was a wonderful host and guide such fun and so knowledgeable. We felt so safe driving to the glacier that was the most amazing experience thank you The music and banter was brilliant thank you Yaya Ding Dong 😆 x
Great small tour & tour guide! The jeep is so cool and we were lucky enough to only end up in a group of four! Would highly recommend
Jeep had 10 passengers. We were NOT picked up at our hotel. We were the last pick up at a bus station so we’re stuck in the last row for the entire trip. Windows fogged up most of the trip so couldn’t even see out. $700 for 2 of us. Geyser was nice, waterfall ok, walked “ on glacier for 10 minutes-driver good but drive very fast. You can do all by rental car except glacier. All in all Iceland has a love hate relationship with its massive amount of tourists. Buyer beware
Amazing! Excellent and funny service with our tour guide Erik! It was a group of 8 and it was perfect. Definitely I’ll recommend this tour.
We used Superjeeps for a golden circle tour. I can not say enough about our fabulous guide Nick. His knowledge about Iceland and all the geological and historical wonders it holds was second to none. His passion for the country was abundantly clear and made for a fantastic information packed trip. We absolutely loved the fact we got to see so much and were grateful for an opportunity to go onto the glacier. We are still in awe of the beautiful scenery we saw on the trip and were delighted to have such a charismatic guide. We hope to return to see more and will definitely use you again. Thank you for a fantastic day. Toni & Michael
This was our second Superjeep adventure, this time with Erik. The Golden Circle tour was one the most memorable trips we’ve done - it’s a great way to explore the amazing landscape that Iceland has to offer (part of it at least). We saw everything from the merge of tectonic plates to impressive waterfalls to geysers. We also got to wander around a bit on one of the larger glaciers, which was breathtaking. Erik was another phenomenal guide. He was very knowledgeable, and very humorous in his storytelling and explanations. Our group overall wasn’t always super talkative, but that didn’t deter him from entertaining us the whole trip long - it was great!
I’ll driver Chris was very knowledgeable and give us a history as we went throughout the day very friendly very flexible with time spent at different locations. There was only only six in our group in a super jeep. The sites we stopped at were absolutely fantastic and breathtaking. The itinerary is a good itinerary for the day. We stopped on the glazier and spent some time there. It was absolutely.
Nick was an excellent guide. What a fun tour. We saw the Golden Circle and did the Land Rover overland
Nice tourguide and good car (unfortunately very bad weather and too crowded spots). We couldn't see anything because of the heavy rain and fog, especially on the glacier.
Taking the jeep in the glacier was the highlight of the trip. This is what distinguished the trip from the bus tours.
Our guide, Nick, was fantastic! He went above and beyond to show us the best sights and gave exceptional information along the way! The sights were simply stunning! The ability of the Super Jeep to reach far distances off the tarmac was unmatched! This was a day my family will always remember! My 7 year old son was amazed! Definitely worth every penny!
We were only in Reykjavik for a couple days. This tour gives you a fantastic overview of the beautiful Icelandic landscape. Highly recommended, it will be a day you won’t soon forget!
Excellent, esp. the off-roading and trip across the glacier. Highly recommended. Not rushed, plenty of time and very enjoyable
Amazing day out. We visited some amazing sights and drove places not accessible by bus or car off road. Our driver was very friendly and knowledgeable and made the day fun as well as informative. It is certainly an experience my family and I will never forget. Next visit we will definitely book another trip.
Everything about this tour was superb, in particular our guide Nick. He was extremely knowledgeable, informative and fun. He really made our day. We were picked up on time and we shortly joined by another couple who were really nice and a pleasure to spend the day with. Then off we headed around the Golden Circle, stopping at various beautiful places including stunning waterfalls, a geyser, a drive to the top to see a glacier and last, but by no means least, the place of the earliest parliament in the world.
