We wanted to do specific parts of the Golden Circle and a private tour was the perfect solution. It was pricy but worth it. Konstantin went the extra mile to make sure we had a great day.

We booked a Golden Circle tour with North Escape, along with an airport transfer the following day. Alex was our guide and driver on the both days, and did an excellent job. David was also very helpful during the booking process and responded quickly to our questions. We highly recommend North Escape!

Valerie Osk is the BEST guide we have ever had. We spent a full day driving the Golden Circle and more with Valerie. She took us to a few spots off the normal 'circle' too. Soren did a wonderful job taking us to all of the best stops on the Golden Circle. He went above and beyond to make sure the day was paced well and we never felt rushed. Little extras like a stop to feed horses really made our day unforgettable! Thanks so much, we will definitely book again!

Had a great experience seeing many amazing sites. Our tour guide Alex was super helpful in going to the different sites to avoid most of the crowds, as these sites are very popular. When we went to Kerid crater, there was nobody else there! We also saw the former Icelandic president at Thingvellir national park. Alex also took amazing photos of us at Bruarfoss. He also took us to Friðheimar tomato farm for lunch, which was amazing. Great private tour. You won’t be disappointed.

Flawless communication from start to finish. Alex was accessible, accommodating and knowledgeable. He took us to the best sights, but also included a couple of stops to less known places, like a local ice cream shop and a tomato farm that served incredible food. Wonderful personalized day tour covering major highlights around Reykjavik. Our guide Valerie was fantastic. She was on time, friendly, knowledgeable and great company for this full day tour. We couldn't have asked for a better guide in Iceland. Alex genuinely went out of his way to make sure we had the best possible trip from start to finish. He knew all the best spots — the kind of places you'd never find on your own — and always seemed to know exactly when to stop for the perfect view. He was thoughtful in the small ways that really add up too, reminding us to bring things along so we were never caught out, and happily taking family photos at every stop so we actually have pictures of all of us together. On top of all that, he was just so easygoing and pleasant to spend the days with, which made the whole experience relaxed and fun. We'd recommend him to anyone visiting Iceland without hesitation. Sorin, our driver and guide, was incredibly passionate about the sights, and his knowledge—so broad and engaging—made the experience even more enriching. We learned so much from him across a wide range of topics. As a private tour, everything felt thoughtfully tailored to our preferences, from lunch choices to the pace of the day. We even completed the original itinerary ahead of schedule, and Sorin made the most of the extra time by taking us to additional sights while still keeping everything perfectly on track. Communication with North Escape beforehand, as well as with Sorin before and during the tour, was prompt and clear throughout. Superb day with our guide Jakob who made sure every stop was perfect. We adjusted our itinerary to see new places and old favourites. There was no rush and interesting facts along the way. Great to have a couple of extra surprise stops which made our daughter's day. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend North Escape or Jakob for this or any other tour. We had a wonderful Golden Circle tour with Alexander, who picked us up right at the cruise port in a comfortable car. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about Iceland and its history. We spent the whole day exploring stunning waterfalls, geysers, and national parks. Alexander shared many interesting stories along the way and made the experience truly memorable. The Golden Circle is a very popular tour out of Reykjavik. Many tour buses. Many schedules. Many people. This private day tour avoids all of that. Some sights may be the same, but the independence from the "fixed" tours allows you to see things that others never will. A spry, enthusiastic and joyful young man, Jakob was an excellent guide who went out of his way to ensure that we had the experience we wanted. We went at our pace. We could stop anywhere for any reason for any period of time. If we wanted to hike we could. If we didn't want to hike, we didn't. If we wanted to take a photo, we stopped. When we were ready to move on, we did. Throughout the tour, Jakob was by our side. He explained everything. He took us to the popular sights, and to some very interesting, seemingly unknown, locations. We had a great time! Additionally, he was constantly looking after our comfort. He provided water and snacks. He took us to a fantastic tomato farm for lunch where we had an amazing meal at a leisurely pace. At every stop he offered to take our picture. I can't think of a better way to see the amazing sights of the golden circle! If we ever need anything in Reykjavik, we'll be calling Jakob for another amazing adventure!

Absolutely perfect one day in the Reykjavik area. Ask for Jacob to be your guide. He went above and beyond to make our one day full of special memories. We hit all the highlights of the Golden Circle, plus several extra stops ( horses, blue waterfall, lunch at Tomato Farm, and bubbling mud pots). Our day ended with a drive through old town and a stop at the beautiful church in Reykjavik. We were never rushed at any stop and were back right in time. Don’t hesitate to book this tour.

Alex was an amazing tour guide. From the start he was very communicative and friendly. He kept ensuring us that this was our day and told us to take our time. When our tour was about to end we all rushed back to the van where he encouraged us to not rush and keep looking as we pleased. He also threw in a few amazing spots that weren’t originally apart of the tour. He knew all the history of Iceland and told us in great detail about the country. Alex is very knowledgeable, a great driver, and such an amazing tour guide. I would definitely take a tour with him, it’s an amazing experience.

Spectacular scenery, enhanced by murky weather. Alex was a great driver and quite knowledgeable. Very personable and punctual. He also added some side trips that were great.

Given this was my first time in Iceland, this couldn’t have been a better tour. Alex showed us the best of the best and added some extra special side trips! We had great photo opportunities at every stop and he always took group photos without asking. The waterfalls, the crater, the geysers, the national park and more with answers to all our questions. Do not hesitate to book this private tour! Ask for Jacob to be your guide! He was an outstanding guide and the tour and everything he showed us was beyond expectations!! We saw the normal “big” Golden Circle highlights- National Park- Geyser-Waterfall…plus several extra -surprise sites- Icelandic horses…a most beautiful blue waterfall- an area of bubbling mud pots, and a stop for delicious lunch at the Tomato Farm. We only had this one day in Reykjavik and Jacob went out of his way to show us a day packed including a drive through old town and a stop at the beautiful church. We were met at the cruise terminal and worked our day around when we had to be back on board. Jacob was kind and made our one day full of lovely memories.

A great one day tour with our tour guide Alex. He was informative without being overly talkative - the perfect combination of information and silence whilst driving between locations. The reason Alex was so good is that he is an immigrant to Iceland, so in order to tell us about the sites on the Golden Circle tour, he had to educate himself on history, stats and the human interactions at the sites. Loved this tour! Alex is a brilliant guide and took us to all the Golden Circle sights plus a few more. Alex explains each stop and takes some photos of you if you wish and then lets you explore on your own. The vehicle was so comfortable. At times it was heavy rain and Alex even bought some ponchos for us to borrow. This was our second tour with Alex and I can’t recommend his tours enough!
