Golden Circle Day Trip With Fridheimar Greenhouse Visit From Reykjavik

Absolutely fantastic day out. Great tour guide, Inga, was very knowledgeable and interesting. Our driver, Richard, was safe and reliable. Coach comfortable and clean. Time keeping was bang on. The entire day was enthralling with stunning scenery, amazing geological features, natural wonders and the fantastic tomato soup at the greenhouse

We had two wonderful days exploring Iceland, visiting the South Coast and the Golden Circle. Our guide Margret was the same on both days, which made the experience even more enjoyable. She was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging, sharing interesting insights and making each excursion memorable. A special mention also goes to our driver Tuorstein and sorry forgot the other driver's name, who were professional, courteous and ensured a smooth and comfortable journey throughout. Both contributed greatly to making our Iceland experience so enjoyable. Highly recommended!

We took this trip in early November 2026 and our tour guide, Kristjan was very knowledgeable about the history of Iceland. We visited the Fridheimar greenhouse where we had the best tomato soup along with some tomato…beer? It shouldn’t but somehow it works! Next we visited the Geysir which did not disappoint. Then we heard the story of the 19 year old girl that saved the beauty and splendor of the Gullfoss waterfall from greedy developers. The waterfall was better than Niagara IMO. Finally, we saw some breathtaking views of the continental rift valley and then our driver Tomasz returned us safely back to Reykjavík! The perfect day!

Our tour guide Kristjan was very informative and passed on facts on Iceland and the areas we visited all day. Our driver Tomasz was excellent. Iceland is beautiful and we got to enjoy a little bit on this tour. The tomato greenhouse visit was an added bonus (the soup was amazing)!

Wow! A truly breathtaking experience of some of Iceland’s amazing natural landscapes. The stop at the greenhouse was very interesting and the tomato soup is a must try, really delicious! Although places were crowded at times, this is to be expected and it didn’t affect our enjoyment of the trip. Elly was a fantastic tour guide, a lovely voice to listen to and gave interesting facts about the places we visited and the areas we drove through on the way. The coach was clean, warm and comfortable, thank you for the smooth journey Mihai. Plenty of places to buy food and souvenirs, plus all important rest rooms throughout the trip. Highly recommend to others, this was our first ever trip to Iceland and we definitely will be returning!

Loved the whole trip, the landscapes and the explanations ! The waterfall was incredible, and the tectonic plates were almost unbelievable ! Those explanations were really clear about everything. Very interactive with a bit a humour, we appreciated it so much ! Thanks again to Elly and Mihai for this beautiful experience.

Elly and our wonderful coach driver, Mihai were exceptional. Despite the near constant rain they got us to the various destinations and we had plenty of time at each. Very informative and we felt we learned a little about this beautiful country.

Fantastic views and the perfect length tour. You see so much. It was affordable and the guides were so helpful and friendly. We were a group of 35 which was perfect and the crowd sizes weren’t too bad. Definitely suitable for most people, with areas that can be accessible for people with limited mobility. Tomme and Lasma were wonderful!

So nice! The guide told us good amount of information and it was very entertaining. The length was good, the travel way was the right amount of time to not get bored. Everything we got to see was amazing! And not to many people. I would recommend everyone to go! The only negative thing was the whole trip there was a fan giving away some annoying sound and maybe the speaker could have been a little clearer.

Wonderful trip, fascinating and plenty of stops. Drive was comfortable and the guide was really informative, learnt a lot about Icelands history. Thank you 😊

Excellent value for money. We had perfect weather for the day, very organised guide brilliant driver. Every stop is just right as the guide allows enough free time for guests to see the sight, have a walk and comfort break. The guide for our tour is Benedict. Thank you for the great day out.

Gudjun the guide was excellent in his knowledge of the area, nature and history. Very entertaining. There was enough time at each stop to see and do what you wanted to without being g rushed. Scenery was breath taking, waterfalls and geysers spectacular. Special mention to Maggik the driver for doing a great job.

Fantastic tour - the pickup from outside the hotel worked perfectly. Once on the tour bus, the driver (Maggi) and tour guide (Gudjon) made us feel very welcome. The tour was amazing and the Gudjon had an amazing depth of knowledge and kept us laughing. The driver was fab, even in some unexpected snowy weather. Fully recommended.

Had the most amazing day doing the Golden Circle Tour. Our driver Maggik and guide Gudjon expertly guided us. First stop was the Green House learning about geothermal agriculture and saw some fantastic tomatoes, vegetables and flowers growing inside greenhouses heated from the earth. Next stop was Geysir wow! Just WOW! So much better than expected. Then onto Gulfoss the Golden Waterfall… it’s huge… finally the national park where we learned about Tectonic plates. All round a brilliant tour not just learning and Iceland but the earth itself… Thank you 🙏🏻

The trip was quite enjoyable. Gudjon Jes (our Guide) told us a lot about all the sights, some fun stuff about the hidden people and sagas. The weather was good so we enjoy it. The Trip was about 9h, with the mentioned stops in the Description. We could See all the refered time. MaggiK drove us safe through the day.

Ingibjörg and Lazo were lovely host and driver. The scenery was spectacular. We saw rainbows along the drive. The soup at the greenhouse was delicious and Gullfoss is breathtaking.
